Soon to be 40 here. Last girlfriend pissed me off so badly that I'll never be in a relationship again. Coming home alone will always be better than coming home and getting abused. Or coming home and finding your girl with some other dude. Or coming home and having to spend time with all the stupid in-laws or other people that you hate. The last girlfriend tried doing this to me. She would "punish" me when I did something she didn't like by going cold and withdrawing for an extended period. She basically forced my hand into a break up that she was overconfident would never happen. Should have seen the look on her face when I called her bluff and straight-up let her go.
