Yea but I don't think getting pissed at the joke just because it would have been taken very seriously if it were the other way around is a bad idea. It's like oh if they can take everything seriously why can't we too. That's not a very good idea because at the end all jokes will eventually be taken seriously by everyone and jokes will become not funny anymore. EDIT: Totally missed the second half of that comment. I think the wording of that sentence may have been confusing. I should have phrased it better. I apologise if you misunderstood. I totally do not think that only women are cat called whatsoever. There's many men who get cat called to. It's just women are the majority.

See again, I never said it doesn't happen to men. Of course it does. Al I said was it is something that disproportionately affects women. There's just more cases of catcalling where the one being catcalled was a women. There's tons of women who are creeps too and I'm sure there's many men that have been cat called and that's a problem too. But on average more women do get cat called compared to men.

First off I believe it's closer to 5-7% not 2% but that's beside the point. There's a lot more cases that just didn't have any evidence for the investigation to move forward or for the case go be taken to court. About 2/3 of cases taken to court do actually find the accused guilty of rape so I don't understand what you're on about. The problem with saying only 2% of rape accusations are false is that even though the stat is true (almost) it leads people to believe that 98% or accusations aren't …
