Sounds like they were going through some rough shit. Most parents dont give their trans kids an easy time about their own personal decision. It isn't that men are more likely to attempt suicide, I think it might be men are more likely to succeed due to their method choices. I could be wrong though. We feminists like to be PC and give people benefit of the doubt rather than being invalidating.
