Unfortunately, I think you are correct... My mom lucked out majorly with my dad, and I don’t think I’ll be taking much of her dating advice in the future. The guy said a couple of other things that were like bright neon red flags, so I dropped him pretty quickly 😂

That makes sense! Like ‘humble’ is a code word for ‘doesn’t see how great she is and/or has low enough self esteem that I can take advantage’.... it seemed like a really weird thing to focus on but I just couldn’t put a finger on why.

So a guy I am talking to said, in response to me asking what he is looking for in a relationship, “a girl that is fun to be around, not materialistic, and above all humble. I can’t stand egotistical people”... it is not really sitting right with me but I can’t put my finger on it. My mom thinks I’m over thinking, so I was hoping y’all could help me, what are some thoughts?

I can attest, while in quarantine I have been making a new floor for my bedroom ( literally milling the wood and everything), AND baking up a storm.

I’ve had guys try similar, it’s frustrating. One guy texted me at 9:30 asking if I wanted to come over and smoke weed and watch movies. I explained that my mom is high risk but if he wanted to face time or go on a hike ( which would allow us to stay 6 feet apart) I would be down and he hasn’t talked to me since 😂

I work at a jewelry store, so Valentine’s Day is one of our biggest days. I always get very disheartened and a little enraged by the amount of guys who come in SO last minute for their wives, or even worse don’t even know what their wives like. It’s like pulling teeth sometimes. At least I get a good commission check though 💁‍♀️

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
