I believe you're right about this type of content being genuine and not just rage bait, but what u/randomthoughts1050 said is essentially the best approach in this case. Not exposing yourself to this heightism bullshit is only going to make you feel better about yourself in the long run. As of now, there's virtually nothing you can do about it and obsessing over things outside of your control will break you sooner rather than later. I'm not saying that you should go and pretend like all of this …

It would be fine if these girls just found shorter guys unattractive and didn't go on social media to literally shame them for something they have no control over. Even though I'm not really short myself, I understand the frustration that short guys feel when they see this type of content. It's just vile and unnecessary.

Is it really a decent home in this case? The kid has to live with that whore of a mother who will probably keep sleeping with different men every 2 weeks while the father can't come visit anymore.

Except that there would be major geopolitical, economical and sociological consequences if they gave up Ukraine. This is the full picture I am talking about, and it's ridiculous to reduce this conflict to a men's rights issue. I even agreed that it would be great to see women being conscripted as well for the sake of fairness, but everyone fleeing the country isn't a viable option by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't have an answer to that question. I personally would like to see them conscript women as well, that would only be fair. All I'm trying to say is that leaving the country is not a realistic option and that this is more than just a men's rights issue. I think I made this pretty clear.

You have a really one-dimensional view on this topic. To them it's not about men's rights. It's their country, their homes, their families, their entire lives basically. They grew up in that place, went to school, made friends, had relationships and the ups and downs that we all experience in our own ways. It's easy to say "leave that country, they don't care about you" when you only look at one little fragment of something that is way bigger. I agree that it is unfair and a very unfortunate sit…

Dude, I'm all for peace and against unnecessary loss of life, but it's not that easy. It's extremely unfair that women can just leave the country without having proper reasons (i.e. incapability to fight/serve due to medical reasons or having to take care of children), but if everyone started leaving they wouldn't have a country anymore. Who's going to take roughly 37 million refugees? It's pissing me off to see Ukrainian women enjoying EU freedom while their men fight for the future of their co…

So you were forced by your own mother to have sex with her and you did because you were afraid of facing the same consequences as the last time(s) you disobeyed her? And the people you talked to didn't lock up your "mother" and offer you the professional help you needed? What the fuck?

I once had a girl slap my ass when I got off the bus. When I turned around she was visibly shocked and immediately apologised because she thought I was someone she knew. I personally didn't consider that incident to be SA, so I just laughed about it and told her it was okay, but it's interesting to think about the opposite scenario. Would she have believed me if I slapped her ass and told her it was just a mistake? And what if I felt genuinely assaulted and called the police? I can't help but th…

I don't think anyone who joined this sub is going to answer "no" to the question if misandry can be a real thing. I think most of us would agree that society is steering into a direction that is fundamentally based on hatred against men and the neglect of their rights and problems. Both misandry and misogyny are very real and present in our society, while only the latter is being properly addressed and taken seriously. The idea of a patriarchy and toxic masculinity has established a framework in…

This is not a good approach and here's why: 1) I'm not sure if you're talking about all jobs across all branches or jobs within the same branch, but let's go with the latter for the sake of simplicity: If two people work in the exact same position but one is more experienced and/or qualified than the other, it wouldn't be fair for both to make the same amount of money. Then there's also the fact that people who are less agreeable tend to be more successful when negotiating raises. Now of course …

After thinking about it for a while I realised it was for the better and trying to win anyone back just isn't worth it. I agree with your point, but I don't think there's a way around it realistically speaking. Why would anyone care about the recognition of men's day when people don't even care about men's rights? And why would anyone care about men addressing their problems on a day that virtually no one gives a fuck about? I know this sounds crazy, but look at the strategy most movements use these days. Nowadays you have to be afraid of looking in the wrong direction, especially in places like the gym. And if you show any sign of fear in the presence of women they won't ask you what it is that you're afraid of, they'll just call you insecure and blame it on you. I think we shouldn't let that anxiety get the better of us. Showing signs of fear or anxiety will just attract the type of woman that will accuse you of something you haven't committed and they'll take advantage of it.

Except that they now throw this term around whenever men speak about their problems or challenge modern feminism. It's either toxic masculinity, mansplaining, fragile male ego or incel. These words have lost all meaning.

They published a video about male inequality and another one challenging the usual gender pay gap narrative in 2023, so it's not super surprising.

The word "gender-neutral" doesn't exist for modern feminists. It's all about female supremacy nowadays, and by indoctrinating all the women around them with the idea of constant victimhood and female oppression they're slowly but surely achieving it. This is just another facet of the gender nonsense and anyone who dares speak out is immediately labelled a misogynistic monster. Welcome in a society where feelings matter more than facts.

First of all, I never claimed it was made for girls, I said it favoured them. Stop putting words in my mouth if you want to have a serious discussion. To answer your question: Boys have a harder time keeping up with the expectations of the education system as it stands right now. The biggest factor that contributes to this is the fact that the development of the prefrontal cortex starts later and takes longer for boys. I don't know about you, but I could watch this phenomenon unfold in real-time…

The education system favours girls over boys because it doesn't account for the developmental delay that boys have. It's crazy that we're still debating the pay gap while completely neglecting the inequalities in early education, a stage in life that pretty much determines the course of your future career. Complete bogus like the gender pay gap get screen time while real issues with actual scientifically sound data are just being ignored.

No offence, but you have a really weird idea of how relationships work. You don't have to fight or die for a woman, or anyone for that matter. Get that Hollywood syndrome out of your head, work on the relationship you have with yourself and put yourself out there when you've grown beyond the insecurities that keep you locked up in your home at the moment. Giving up on it entirely is only going to make you go insane.

I'm 100% straight and unironically tell my best friend that he's got one of the juciest asses I've ever seen. That article seems to be more about men who appear as women from behind, but even then I don't really see the problem. You can appreciate a nice butt without having something sexual in mind. The author is probably just highly insecure about his sexuality if he thinks that checking out a man's ass is humiliating somehow.

When did I say that religion is the problem? And what is "religion-bash" supposed to mean? I don't mind people being religious and I don't care what they believe in, but religions like Christianity and Islam are a bunch of bogus to me. You don't need to opinion-bash.

There's a couple of more reasons why a small pay gap still exists today, but none of those reasons are actually rooted in discrimination against women like feminists say.

What they say publicly is not exactly what they have in mind. They disguise their sick ideas as something more socially acceptable, similar to what politicians have been doing for decades now.

Jesus Christ man, this is the worst take I've heard in a long time. If men are responsible for their misery then the same also applies to women who have made shitty experiences with evil men, but we're still giving them special treatment. Why is that? And it'd be great if you stopped jumping to conclusions. I'm not being controlled by women, I just want to see more representation of the issues that men face.

Many victims of DV or emotional/physical abuse don't realise what's happening to them before the relationship is over. It's extremely naive to dumb this down to "you were just unable to stand up yourself". And the point I made still stands: Many men don't know how to communicate their emotions and experiences or they're outright afraid of doing so because no one gives a shit about them, not even feminists. Women get way better treatment in that regard.
/r/MensRights05/03/24 02:18 PM

This video explains it really well. It shows that the very small pay gap that exists today isn't rooted in discrimination against women, but various other factors that aren't being represented at all by feminists.

Just like the other person said already, this is not what gender roles are about. Women will still have babies even if society stops imposing the role of "breeding station" upon them and there will still be men who go fight for their countries. This only becomes a problem when it happens due to societal pressure instead of personal desires.
/r/MensRights04/03/24 11:58 PM
19

Don't you think everyone would be happier if they had the ability to do whatever the hell they felt was right for them? If we keep pushing people into certain directions based on gender it will lead to nothing but misery. One's roles should revolve around personal desires as well as abilities, not gender. And this is not an American perspective, I'm also European.

Just a little anecdote: My mate and I dated the same girl. We were both emotionally abused both during and after the relationship, she even spread lies about us cheating on her. In my case she even went as far as saying that I beat her when it was her who physically attacked me during an argument. She also beat my mate and admitted to it, but no one ever suggested that it was abusive behaviour. Now what does this tell you? A lot of men don't believe they can be abused or discriminated against be…

They're saying that issues with men's rights only seem to persist on the internet and that many men in the real world don't feel discriminated against (in their area at least). I guess the question now is how that is possible.
/r/MensRights04/03/24 04:34 PM

There's one comment saying how it's sad that some of the men in the video don't remember the birthdays of their children and apparently this also indicates that their wives do all the "physical and emotional labour" of planning birthday celebrations for the entire family basically. Not once do they consider that this might be the case because their husbands are working their asses off to make all of this fancy shit possible in the first place. Absolute clowns.

You're basically boiling this all down to "you're stupid, I'm smart", which really isn't the intellectual approach here. If you're so self-sufficient then I'm happy for you, but I'd argue that most people would go insane if they had to deal with every bit of misery on their own. And again: You don't have to be the saviour of this poor soul and magically make all of his problems disappear, but just show some compassion. If that's too much for you then at the very least stop being so bitter.
/r/MensRights02/03/24 12:23 AM

Can you stop the backseat psychological analysis for a second and think logically? If the allegation wasn't false he likely faced some legal repercussions already, so it's not up to internet people to judge whether or not it was in fact false. And while I'm not a JP fanboy by any means, the man has some seriously good advice, and anyone who denies that must hate him with a passion. Some of his takes are questionable, but others aren't. Generalisations don't help.

Your feeling of superiority over someone who's clearly going through more shit than you likely ever will is honestly disgusting man. Just think for a minute about the absolute rubbish you're uttering here and try being a decent human being, or is that too much to ask for?

"You got a problem? Well then just stop having that problem!" - what a flawless logic right there. There's plenty of shit you can do to help someone who's in trouble, and while you might not be able to help them directly, just listening to their story and showing empathy is a lot better than being a bitter cunt. Just saying.

I like how you're presenting this as a fact when there's lots of people who prove the opposite. Good and caring people might be hard to find, especially on the internet, but it's not impossible. I feel like a lot of people recognise that emotional abuse is something that also affects many men, but modern feminism has done a great job at propagating the idea that men are responsible for both the misery of women and the misery of men. There's no winning here, as it always ends up at "men are evil". Your girl cheats on you? You couldn't make her happy enough. She verbally abuses you?
