I didn't vote for Trump but Shor says the voters who made the difference were low-information, usually-unlikely voters. He says the message that Trump was dangerous, untrustworthy, etc., etc., didn't get out strongly enough to these voters. It was the "he's a businessman" factor. I know, I know. Edited to add: ...and a lot of them were people of color.

OK since we're in a thread about paying attention to the REAL statistics rather than what seems to make sense on the surface... Trump did not win in 2024 because of outrage over woke, nor because likely-Democratic voters stayed home. It was pocketbook issues, pocketbook issues, and pocketbook issues. David Shor of Blue Rose Research claims to have run more up-to-date numbers than the first few postmortems and says if more people had voted, Trump would have won by more. Also, he has teased out th…

One time I watched a Mystery video where he was talking to the guys, and said something I thought was pretty empathetic to them and pretty helpful. He explained "Of course you're nervous to cold approach (or whatever you call it) because in ancient times (prehistoric times, whatever you call it) her father/brother/tribe could have beaten you up for even thinking about it." I don't know if Mystery was 100% "red-pill" or more "pickup-artist guru" but I thought what he said made sense, instead of g…

He’s just not that into you. Part of the reason may be that he wants a particular type looks-wise to show off to other men. i’m convinced half of red-pill bitterness is over competition with other men. Sad to say but don’t waste your time. Find someone fun who thinks you are just the bee’s knees.

You aren't going to be able to persuade her. Just keep living your best life and demonstrating what kind of happiness lies in the kind of women's autonomy you exhibit and the kinds of relationships you enjoy. Just act like it's perfectly normal that the normie guys you date are supportive and loving. When she complains about something he said or did, just go "hmm" but when you date someone supportive, say things like "oh he took me to dinner to celebrate my promotion" etc.

A person needs to be effectual. Effectual does not equal “nice” or “jerk.”. Is there something the person is good at (video games don’t count in large part because they don’t have an effect on the world). Is there something the person is good at that commands respect and shows promise in a way their target person would find appealing? I knew a shy guy who could hardly hold a conversation and became a tour guide at a museum centered around a common intetest. bam he met someone immediately because…

I'll say something nice about men for the heck of it. I wasn't even thinking about man vs. woman a week ago in church (I am a woman) and there was this part where only the men sang and it was really beautiful. Then today we had a men's chorus as guests and they sang great too. In our denomination we don't often hear men-only singing like maybe in Gregorian times or something. Once in a while there is a male solo at a different congregation (same denomination) and those are great too (much less s…

Left-leaning woman here. I would say get out more in real life and spend less time on the Internet--as much as I love Reddit! I attend a left-leaning church (United Methodist) Kinda center-left not hit-you-over-the-head progressive. And the men there are wonderful. This church (actually quite large) is crawling with great men. I never hear the kinds of rhetoric in real life that I find online, except when the occasional real firebrand shows up at our liberal discussion group. Most of our liberal…

A myth that sex causes the labia to be dragged out, so people thinking it is related to whorishness. Do men know this is a myth, though? It's so unfair. It has absolutely nothing to do with how much sex a woman has had. Do wives with "innies" turn into "outies" by the time they've been married 15 years? Do men know this is a myth? Makes me never want to go near a man lest he accuse me of stuff like that on absolutely no basis. I had enough of that in my super-strict upbringing. What is the good …

I would think male normies would care about abortion rights for self-interest reasons if nothing else. 1) they get stuck with child support 2) they might get stuck raising a very, very impaired special-needs child due to birth defects that could have been detected in the womb 3) their wife could die from a high-risk pregnancy that went wrong and she went septic or an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured and leave them with a house full of other young children already born. That would have happened to…

I think you're right. I just posted about how I was a nerd and prude and a wallflower and didn't meet the right guy till I was 48. I'm happy and he was definitely worth the wait, because of how he treats me or you could say how compatible we are, but if I'd had more of certain drives I probably would've gone ahead with someone less right for me earlier. I think that's what you mean.

I'm childless and 66 and used to want children well into my 20's but I never participated in hookup culture. I was raised super, super-strict religious. I was a virgin until 32. Anyway I held out for the right person even if it meant waiting until I was 48 so that's what happened. I don't regret it although I am not anti-child. I was a nerd and prude and wound up single for a really long time because of it, not because I was out hooking up.

I'm a woman and I don't like raunch either, whether it's sung by women or men, but I don't dare say that in real life. I dare not show it.

It's the same reason some people don't marry people from other countries/cultures like they "threaten" to. Not that the people from other cultures/countries should have to marry them for economic reasons...but it happens sometimes. But some people openly say that doing so would be admitting defeat in the status stakes. I think this one thing is more true for women than for men...their spouse's social status cements or limits them at that particular level. It's why my very beautiful and hot, sexy…

Once the baby is born into a marriage, the child is legally the husband's regardless of DNA, isn't that correct? Or does it go state by state? I'm trying to Google but my Google Fu is not that great.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 08:23 PM

It's not about friendship OR sex per se. It's about status. The reason it cuts so deep to not be able to get laid (for these dudes) is the lack of status. Especially compared to others. The lack of "conquest" waves the low status in their faces all the time. Nobody talks about status in the USA and nobody knows how to deal with being thwarted status-wise. This is why some people don't wanna settle for the partner they can attain and make the best of it. (i.e., some of these dudes could go down h…

I am not sure in the case of the 2nd guy. At the time he was not sure if he was gay or not. He was questioning whether he was gay. I think this is why his brother was beating him up. Not sure if another guy would have helped him in that circumstance compared to a woman. Because other guys might have had the whole "eeyew, gay, ick" thing going on. This was in about 1997 so some people were OK with gay people but some people were not. He ended up marrying a woman so I guess he may have been bi (I …

I don't mind any age difference up to 20 years. When I see an age difference larger than 20 years, although the particular couple is not my business, it makes me feel bad because guys will purposely egg women on about it.. I make sure to keep a poker face around guys when I see it so no guys will zero in and egg me on about it. Some people (a lot of them) just seem to be constantly looking for an opportunity to jump in and scold. It's very tedious and those who seem to think they are phrasing it in a passive way, aren't. I had an ex who I think lost his job for that sort of thing. At least it got mentioned in his performance review. I have a theory that applies to another part of the declining-birthrate picture, although it's slightly off topic for this thread. I studied population issues back about 20 years ago and one thing that population experts said worldwide was: younger women delaying marriage for the sake of their education cuts the birthrate for the simple reason that they are not getting pregnant in those first few most fertile years. Every year of education instead of marriage for young women who have just entere…

Some of those other women hadn't grown up upper-middle-class or gotten the memo and they were probably doing good as far as their husbands "babysitting" but the "THEY'RE HIS KIDS" woman just took all the air out of their balloons with her language-policing...it's accurate but it's SOOOO tedious. I got that idea from a Jack Hitt article about Bill Clinton way way back in the Gennifer Flowers era. He knew he was "supposed" to marry a Hillary Clinton type and that's not saying he didn't love Hillary in a respect, esteem kind of way. But the kind of woman he was attracted to, in Jack Hitt's words, "trumpeted her sexuality" with red lipstick, that sort of thing.

I would like to add a little to this idea. 1) Women with appetites are probably a good bet to be good in bed in a certain way, as opposed to a really controlled abstemious or anhedonic sort. 2) Such women probably seem like they would be easy to be with, less judgy on how their partner dresses, whether he pronounces the wine list correctly, you know what I mean. Some people don't like to be on their toes all the time and can relax around less controlled Type A sorts. 3) But the deal-breaker is t…

This presumes that every woman dated around and had sex in her 20's. I am not sure why young women who were brought up strictly religious never seem to figure in these scenarios. I was a virgin till I was 32 because I was brought up in a very strict sect but did not marry in that sect. It's not easy to leave this kind of sect. I was shunned for 8 years by my family. Anyway there is no shortage of women in their 20's who were raised religious and may leave that religion, often around age 30, when…

I have a geographical theory on this, at least in the USA. The farther east you are, the more it's socially OK to expect to meet someone and start a conversation with a friendly stranger. The farther west you are, the more it's socially frozen. I am not sure, but maybe Chicago is the farthest west people are open to meeting strangers when they are out and about. I don't know about bars for sure. I also think the south is a TAD less open to meeting strangers but I am not sure. If you wanna strike…

Supposedly, the Piketon massacre happened in part because of kind of the opposite situation. Jake Wagner reportedly begged Hanna Rhoden to say he was the father of her new baby rather than the new guy. And go with him to Alaska. But the baby was the new guy's, Charlie Gilley. Jake wanted Hanna to pass off the baby as his and reconcile with him, in other words.

Here's one way less-attractive women know they're less attractive. It's pretty dang simple! All they have to do is go somewhere, anywhere, with a more attractive friend or sidekick and notice the random compliments and smiles the more attractive friend gets. The unattractive woman thinks, "People really DO that?" then her eyes are quickly opened. Don't ask me how I know Edited to add: That method is definitely less painful than everyone they run across feeling like they'd better hammer the point…

Yeah I know men like that...they're in their late 60's still holding out for a glamour puss...but it's their business. They aren't hurting me. I can't imagine being butthurt about their choice to remain single unless and until a glamour puss comes along.

They know the people receiving the compliments don't *really* "believe" it as far as actually overestimating their SMV. They know the people receiving the compliments will take them in the spirit intended, as a kindness and not as objective measurement of sexual attractiveness in the dating marketplace.

Trust me, unattractive women know that those other women complimenting them are blowing smoke up their ass. They know the other women are just trying to build up their self-esteem. Women have plenty of sources by which we gauge our true attractiveness. A big way is to watch what men's eyes do. Men don't have to say a thing. Watch what their eyes do. As you approach there's a split second when their eyes either indicate interest or glaze over. I don't mean in a leering way, but when they wanna lo…

Me too! I can be absolutely gobsmacked by another woman's beauty but it's not a sexual attraction per se. It's just an aesthetic thing. Example: the Queen of Bhutan. I think she's the most beautiful woman who ever walked, but it's strictly an aesthetic thing.

I'm old; I'll bite. First of all, yes, I seem to notice that meeting while people are out-and-about has fallen out of fashion. I am not sure about the east coast in the USA because it seems to me people are more hail-fellow-well-met on the east coast and maybe it's not looked on as "creepy" or "weird" to start talking to a stranger on the east coast still. I hope that's the case. The farther west you go in the USA, it seems the more standoffish, maybe with some exceptions. Anyway, as recently as…

I had the good fortune of working in a big company for 36 years where the product is heavily geared toward women and the men who work there wouldn't want to work there in the first place if they felt like that. My mother told me this advice, the dreaded Dr. Phil gave this advice, and it also worked for me without my even meaning to try it. Change up the venues where you have been going. Add some new venues. Different venues seem to attract a whole different crowd. My mother put it this way: "Guys go for the new girl. If you have known a guy for 2 years and he hasn't gone for you, he won't. Be the new girl in a venue." I grew up in a repressive sect where you are supposed to marry in that sect, and what…

Church women are perfectly capable of snarking on single women all by themselves. In a world without men, I'm convinced there would be churches of single women clucking "She never married" at the other single women. I'm perfectly willing to blame the patriarchy for their fair share, but here's how I would blame the patriarchy: it's women taking their identity from having a man on their arm rather than their own accomplishments. Women play a part in that too. I was brought up on second-wave femin…

Not weird at all, because it isn't about love; it's about status. Most people in the USA don't realize how much of it is about status, in large part because we aren't honest with ourselves about status in the USA.
