Well i think my comment strengthens OPs argument, there were women fighting in ww2 and they were very small in number and very specialized. Definitely not general infantry like the game suggests.
Easily, im talking about maybe a couple thousand women in the soviet army, the largest land army in the world in 1945. But people dont wanna see children as avatars in a WW2 game.
You wanna look at the soviet army, they used women in sniper roles as well as aircraft pilots. Look up the Night Witches on wikipedia.
