If you can’t do any of the lifts correctly, then yes, hire a PT (personal trainer) to teach you those lifts, or even better, if it’s just those three you struggle with, ask a power lifter teach them to you (background: I have a bachelor in sports/fitness and a year of PT studies after that). After you have learned to do them right, follow a basic program like 5/3/1. 1	Chaotic life, need a change Actually, a work buddy invited me to go with him to a small crossfit gym today. I couldn’t go because of the kids, but will take him up on it later this week (I’m actually not that interested in crossfit, but they train in small groups and he says the environment is really good there).
