Yeah maybe we got a mcflurry or something too idk (last time I went to McDonald's was like 3 months ago and I haven't been back because of how shocked I was at the price. I do know it was $40 because I was pretty much flat broke at the time and I was the one who paid for it). Wasn't super worried about exact accuracy in my comment since the specific dollar amount wasnt the point, the point was just that an expensive coffee is still only about half the price of a cheap meal at a cheap restaraunt.

It's American dollars. Idfk I don't eat at McDonald's very much specifically because it's expensive and not worth it imo. The only thing I know is the last time I went it was $40 for both of us. We both got a meal, he got an extra crispy chicken sandwich.

My partner eats more than I do but a big Mac meal is like $15 where I'm at (he usually has to supplement it with a couple ala carte sandwiche). Chili's is running a promo that theyre cheaper than McDonald's because they are lol. Either way the specific dollar amount isn't the point and I bet a lot of people don't consider fast food to be a date spot anyway. The point is just that coffee involves less expectations than dinner and a nice coffee is like half the price of a cheap dinner and that is …

No? Fast food is expensive these days lol 1 person can easily spend $15+. And I do pay my own way, I've just had guys get offended at me even offering before or insisting they pay for me only to hold it over my head later, which is exactly why I don't go on dinner dates anymore unless something has been established.

A meal at Wendy's is closer to $20, and that's exactly what I do do, hence the coffee dates and hikes lol

Damn lol my partner and I went to a local dive bar on Friday and spent $98 and all wr got was an entree each, and appetizer and a couple cocktails. Either way it's not the point, I've had dudes think I owe them something over a meal at Wendy's before, it's just a lot easier to laugh and dismiss that when the charge is small as opposed to a full meal at a sit-down place. I can also get up and leave a coffee shop at any time without causing a scene, while sitting down in a restaraunt doesn't reall…

If I had your mindset I wouldn't have gone any dates at all, since it typically takes at least a coffee's length of time for me to determine whether I'd want to go out on a "real date" with them, have sex with them, or never see them again. I also like hikes/walks and more hangout-style dates in general for the same reasons I listed for coffee dates. I've been on enough bad dates at restaraunts to just be totally done with them unless I already know I'm interested in my person romantically (guys…

Yeah also $20 ring from Walmart just isn't going to be high-quality enough to wear all dag every day for the rest of my life. It'll get ruined relatively quickly. The price of the ring isn't important to me personally, but I'd like it to not fall apart and turn green within the first year or two of my marriage. Same reason why stones like opals or pearls aren't good for rings despite being beautiful and expensive, they just aren't durable enough. A good partner isn't going to be upset that you d…

I'm a woman and I agree. I much prefer coffee or drinks, something less expensive and committal. I think it's just better for everybody. For men it filters out gold diggers who want you to roll out the red carpet dor them and treat them like a queen before you even know them. For women it's more low-pressure since a $7 latte is a lot harder to hold over someone's head than a $50 meal could be. If you come from different tax brackets splitting the bill is more feasible since I can't afford to pay…

If you don't want a relationship then why do you care if women want them or not? You're not trying to date them anyway so what they want doesn't affect you. If you want casual sex find women who also want that instead - plenty of us around. Also, if women are so desperate for a partner that they'll settle for someone way less attractive than they can hook up with, why is there a "male loneliness epidemic" on?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/25 02:37 PM

"Women want relationships" he says to a woman trying to explain that she doesn't want a relationship with just anybody. Relationships are exhausting and expensive for me tooband I have to give up my single life for them. The person I date has to be way better than the people I hookup with or I wouldn't date them and would just keep having hookups instead.

You're projecting a lot onto me here. I like being single, I've never once been looking for a relationship. I am frequently looking for sex and I've never had a hard time finding that because I don't particularly care who I have sex with as long as they aren't ugly and aren't an asshole. I (and many other women) also like sex without baggage. Why would I tie myself down forever to a mediocre man when being single is better? If I want sex and he wants sex, we get sex from eachother. If he wants t…

Being in a relationship with a man isn't effort-free for me either. Everything a man has to sacrifice to be in a relationship with me, I also have to sacrifice to be in a relationship with him. If a man wants a relationship with me, he has to be worth MY sacrifice. Like I said, I'm very happy as a single person. You seem to think that if I like a person enough enough want to date them I put them through trials and tribulations just to have sex with me. That is not the case. If he wants sex and I…

If the man doesn't want to he in a relationship with me, I don't want to be with him either. The guys I hook up with don't get anything more for free than the hypothetical guy I get married to does. If the man wants sex from me and I want sex from him, we'll both get sex from eachother. If the man wants commitment he has to be someone worth committing to. Why would I commit to someone I wouldn't even hook up with? Why is it a better deal for a guy who wants to be my husband to end up a one night…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 07:46 PM

Lol I pay my own credit card bills, thank you. Why is the fuckboy enjoying my body for free more than I'm enjoying his for free? Am I supposed to charge him for sex when it's something that I want as well? I'm not married, but the person I'd be most likely to get married to started as a hookup partner as well and has also been "getting it for free" for 4 years now (I even paid most of his bills for an entire year! Almost like we love eachother or something). If a man wants to keep me around he s…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 06:41 AM

Then I suppose you and I wouldn't be compatible. Yes, I have much higher requirements when it comes to who I want to commit to. Why would I have higher standards for someone I share my bed with for one night vs someone I share my bed with for the rest of my life? I'm not committing to just anybody. If I'm not crazy about them, I don't want them in my life permanently. I can ask a man what he wants, but what about what I want? Marriage is not a goal for me. Generally, I choose hookups over marria…

My life when I'm single is awesome. I don't answer to anybody, I can have everything exactly the way that I want it, don't have to run any decisions I make by anybody else, no compromising, and I have no issue getting laid when I want sex. When I'm single I'm not looking to change that, but if I meet someone who actively makes my life better and is worth sacrificing my single life for, then I'll pursue them. In high school I wanted one because that's what everyone else wanted, but I grew up. I'v…

He asked why average guys had a hard time getting hookups but not relationships while hot guys don't struggle with hookups, so I explained that it's more about supply and demand in that area. You're competing with more men for fewer women when you're having casual sex vs looking for a relationship.

Well I definitely don't know most women, do you? We know different women in different areas and maybe different age ranges, tons of confounding variables we're working with. Neither of us can speak for all or even most women, each of our sample sizes are just the women we've talked to ab this specific subject. I really don't think I'm that special as I have known plenty of women who also do what I do. If I only slept with the top 1% of men or whatever y'all say it is I'd get laid about twice a y…

I know this aub hates anecdotes but most of the women i know don't have casual sex at all. The ones who do that I know operate very similar to myself. I've already stated that I can't speak for all women, but I haven't personally seen anyone randomly decide to hook up with someone because they were hot. They go out looking for a hookup partner and leave with who they can get (or do what I do and use tinder to find whoever the available people are).

If I like them then sure, but not if I don't. I'm not looking to date anybody I hook up with, I"m looking to hook up with them. If I have a really good time, like them a lot and find them attractive then I'll try to see them again and see where it goes, otherwise I don't.

Men need to not be ugly, which is different from "hot." I wouldn't think about marrying a guy I wasn't crazy attracted to, but I'll hook up with whoever the best-looking person i can get on a given night is. Sometimes that person is a 5, sometimes theyre a 10, I really don't care what they look like if all I'm looking for is a one night stand, just that theyre dtf and not gross.

I said all my partners have started out as hookups. I like casual sex so I have casual sex, then will maybe choose a romantic partner out of that pool of people I've had casual sex with if I like one of them enough. The people I know who have casual sex tend to operate that way, and the people I know who don't tend to make people wait because they want to make sure its real first. Can't speak for all women obviously but I've found the women who have casual sex and women who don't tend to be comp…

Yeah hookup material is like... partially package. They have something that piqued my interest but theyre lacking other things that put them in the "hookup material" category instead of "husband material." "Husband material" has everything a hookup has AND more

Where did I say sex is worthless? Good sex is a non-negotiable requirement for a husband. I can tolerate 1 night of bad sex, not a whole lifetime.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 12:26 PM
6

Probably because most women simply aren't into casual sex at all and only want sex within relationships. Women who do want casual sex tend to be in high demand since they're less common, so you have way more competition than you do with women who only want relationships (even if the casual woman is less attractive)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 12:25 PM

Fr. Never dated anybody who didn't start out as a hookup. Requirements for hookups = not ugly and available tonight. Requirements for husband = attractive, good personality, treats me well, similar lifestyle goals, good at sex, good at cooking, pulls his weight financially, kind, funny... the list goes on. Why would I be pickier about who I share my bed with for 1 night vs who I share my bed with for the rest of my life?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 11:05 AM

Yeah I've had more people lie about wanting to be casual than lying about wanting to be in a relationship, but I was also only ever looking for casual so that makes sense. Either way they were still lying to me about their intentions in order to get laid, only difference is who gets their feelings hurt in the end.

Yeah I see both of these things from people of all genders and it's not only limited to politics either. How many posts have we seen from guys who get with a girl who loves clubbing, only to be upset that she continues to love clubbing after they get together? Or from girls who get with a guy who was cheating on his existing partner and then are shocked to find him cheating on them as well? Not being interested in someone romantically ≠ shitting on them. I don't make very much money myself so I need a partner who can cover their own expenses and can't afford to date someone who can't. My whole economic standard is just don't be a burden or we'll both starve. I'm also not generally interested in people who make significantly more money than I do because I find we just come from totally different worlds and tend to have different values (I grew up super poor, dated a "rich" dude who …

Ah I think part of it for me is when I'm single I'm just not interested in changing that at all unless I catch feelings for someone specific. I like being single and am never looking for a romantic partner just for the sake of having somebody. I'm happily partnered now and I did think he was cute when I met him, but I wasn't interested in him romantically at all until after I got to know him. The difference is nobody dies if I don't date them and people do die if they can't get shelter and food. If I was rich and powerful I'm confident that I WOULD do things the way I want the current rich and powerful people to do them because that's the way I do things now. That's also exactly why I'm not rich or powerful. If you're both at the same party, it means you have some mutual friends and therefore some level of connection. Even if it's too loud to really sit down and get to know eachother, you're still not exactly strangers. As far as not being the guy who's friends with women to get sex, thats why you hit on your female acquaintances/casual friends, not your female best friends/members of your core friend group (unless you're certain she's into it). We are all strangers to each other initially, that's true! I like to go from strangers -> acquaintances and THEN either friend or romantic interest though. I've only ever dated people I was friends or at least acquainted with first, I'm not interested in going out with strangers. I like casual sex but I've only ever used apps for that because you got at least a snapshot of who a person might be before you talk to them. With a cold approach all I get is what you look like and that is simply not enough information to go off of. I don't even have to know someone that well to be open to a date, but a complete stranger is an absolute no-go for me ETA: d…

Same here. I just hate being cold-approached. A: I'm not looking for a partner at Target, I'm tryna buy things I need, and B: a cold approach is a great way to tell me that the only thing you're looking for is someone who is physically attractive. A 30 second interaction is not enough for me to know whether I want to go out with someone or not, and if it's enough for them, that tells me they're either shallow or desperate - neither of which is interesting to me.

I have close friends and less close friends and the way I treat them/hang out with them depends on which of those groups they fall into as opposed to what gender they are. I'm bi so maybe I'm an outlier in the sense that regardless of the gender of the friend, they might think I'm coming onto them when I'm not so I just try to be mindful of communication and steer clear of anything that could be misconstrued. If it's randos and they're with eachother for non-attraction reasons and everyone's on board/nobody's being exploited, then it's just not my place to say whether it's right or not. Yeah, and my county has a jail app for finding unaccounted for people. I have it because I used to have to look for no call no show employees. Why? Dates go poorly for a lot of different reasons, lots of which are hilarious. Some personal examples from my own dating experience being shit like "went to go down on him but he apparently had shat his pants and didn't even warn me" or "took his virginity and he tried to commemorate the moment with a selfie for facebook." How is that stuff not funny? I'm obviously not sitting here laughing at people being traumatized, hurt, or messed around on. I never downloaded the app so idk what's on it,…

The gender of the person has nothing to do with how entertaining the drama is. I'm obviously not here relishing in people being victims of violence or anything, I just like petty drama. It's like gossiping at work about who's sleeping with who or whatever except you're watching strangers do it. Reality TV basically. I assume it's called the Tea app because people are spilling tea on it. I like tea, that's all.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 12:20 AM

How is getting entertainment out of reading a public post by somebody I don't know about somebody I don't know worse than participating? I'm on apps like Nextdoor and in subreddits like AITA for the exact same reason. There's a lot of funny shit on there, and I'm sure there's funny shit on the tea app, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 10:16 PM

I'm in a loving, committed relationship but I thought about downloading the tea app. Not because I don't trust my partner, but because I love drama that doesn't involve me. I'm just nosey. I only just heard of it like 2 days ago and they just had that big security "breach," so safe to say I will not be downloading it, but that shit did look juicy and I was so ready to curl up with the penjamin and go through it for kicks. This is a good distinction. Finding out your friend has developed feelings for you over the course of your frienship is different from finding out your friend is only your friend because he thinks you're hot and wants to sleep with you. Yeah this also varies a lot from person to person. Some people aren't into casual dating and 3-4 weeks in is already a big commitment for them. I'm more like the opposite where it takes at least 3-4 weeks (usually longer) of casually hooking up with a person before I even begin to develop feelings. No, it says people with those traits are more successful with women. Correlation ≠ causation. If they linked a survey that asked women what they liked in a man and they answered <misogyny> then that would show those traits are attractive to wonen.

That doesn't discount what I said at all. Misogynistic men are of course going to be better at scoring hookups with women because they're willing to lie/manipulate/coerce. Women also have lower standards for hookups since it's just about sex with compatibility being less of a factor. They aren't viable for stable relationships because eventually the mask falls and their true colors show - which is undesirable and makes for a bad partner.

Also just going off the post itself, misogynistic men being more sexually successful ≠ misogyny being attractive to women either. People lie about their intentions and put up fronts to fool eachother into sleeping with them all the time. If a man thinks lesser of women in general, he probably doesn't have as much of an issue being disingenuous or manipulative, similar to how they have higher rates of sexual assault. Forcing and/or coercing women to have sex with you does not mean you're desirabl…

LMAO that makes sense. I am autistic and very reserved romantically. Couldn't imagine no "I love you" or calling my partner by his government name but the rest of it feels pretty camp to me. We also live together and both work different kinds of intense jobs so I'd be pretty pissed if he was blowing up my phone all the time with reassurances that he still loves me when he can just tell me when I get home.

I think the big issue with red pill isn't necessarily the beliefs themselves (when you boil it down, we are animals), but the lengths some of those guys take it to and how universally they apply it to people. Like yeah biology is a thing and in general, the red pill applies to a lot of, if not most people. People are also different and vary a lot in terms of preferences and personality. Most men probably do like more feminine women, most women probably do like more masculine men. Just because I'…

Oh that's wild! Never heard of that happening aside from the whole "my bf and I saw you across the room and really liked your vibe" scenarios, but I believe it. The whole sperm/egg donating thing just generally has this weird eugenics flavor to it that I'm not totally fond of in the first place. Like the analog version of using CRISPR to make designer babies. I get it to a certain extent - I'd want a healthy baby that looks like me and I imagine other people would too! But the extremes those pla…

I was bummed since I needed the money (they will pay really good money if you qualify) but the procedure itself seemed pretty unpleasant and kinda risky so I wasn't too broken up about it. Plus I don't want some kid turning up in like 20 years looking for their bio mom or anything like that. I know you can request anonymity and there are procedures in place to prevent that but there's always a chance they'll find out, especially if …

For real! "Just donate sperm" okay, have you seen the questionnaires they give you for donating sperm/eggs? You need virtually a perfect, clean slate medically and psychologically. They also frequently have height/weight requirements, education level requirements, and income requirements among other things (these vary more depending on where you're trying to donate, but they're usually pretty strict). They also care about your personal interests and hobbies. I looked into donating my eggs at one…

I'm not arguing that you do, though not a lot of women are into casual sex/fwb style relationships, and landing a fwb style relationship by no means guarantees a romantic one (all but one of my fwbs stayed just friends, and we dropped the benefits as soon as either of us entered a romantic relationship, but we kept the friendship in many cases). The point of the post is that if you don't like women enough to have platonic relationships with them, you don't like them enough to have romantic relat…

Hookups can turn into friendships which can then turn into relationships. That's been my experience anyway. I've never had a hookup turned relationship without an fwb situation in the middle. I have to have some avenue for feelings to form for me to want to pursue a relationship with a person, and sex on its own doesn't do that.

Honestly I'd be way more open to having kids if the whole "it takes a village" thing was actually realized. If childrearing was a shared expectation throughout the community instead of being solely on the mother and/or father, I think it would be significantly more appealing to more people. I don't want kids because I neither want nor think I could handle the responsibility, even if there was a co-parent in the picture, and I don't want to dedicate all of my free time to raising a child. Idk, I always had a lot of options but that just means I was pickier about who I was willing to keep around long-term. It's pretty easy to not treat people like shit despite having a lot of options. The abusive relationship I found myself in was with a very insecure guy that I gave a chance to. The whole relationship was him controlling me out of fear that I'd cheat on him and manipu…

Exactly. I actively dislike rich men because we come from different worlds and can't relate to eachother. I'm also so "poor-brained" that I get very uncomfortable when people spend a lot of money on me, it feels like a power imbalance and I'm really not interested in that at all. I want to be as close to equal as I can be to my partner and don't want to feel like a burden on them or like I owe them anything because they choose to gift me things.

I used to have the "no penis no opinion" take about it and if I ended up having a boy I'd let his father decide, but more recently I've come to be of the opinion that it's actually pretty fucked up that people do that to babies. If he wants to be cut, then he can get himself circumcised when he's older. If there's a medical reason for circumcision during infancy then that would be an exception, but it shouldn't be standard procedure. I hold the same opinion on babies born intersex. Absolutely no…

I'm into butt stuff and BDSM, and I don't think being into those things is inherently pornsickness. Expecting/assuming every woman or the majority of women to be into those things 100% is, though. Too much porn skews people's ideas about what's normal vs kinky when it comes to sex, and can embolden them to try to pull kinky shit on unexpecting women because they think stuff like choking and anal are more vanilla than they are. Too much porn with no research on technique can also be straight up d…

Im not scared of the bad experiences with bigger, they arent bad ebough to warrant any level of fear at all, I just genuinely think 4"-6" feels way better than any bigger, even when everything goes well with a big guy. I don't particularly like the feeling of being stuffed full, it's just not super pleasant to me and I prefer a penis that fits over one that has to be forced to fit.

This response is confusing to me so I apologize if I'm not answering your question, but I'll try. I would prefer a normal sized penis, that 4"-6" range I specified earlier. It's uncomfortable at the start with a bigger one regardless of skill, and it's more difficult for me to finish with one thats too big or too small, even if it's not impossible. I prefer to cum quickly, easily and often during sex and that 4"-6" range seems to be a perfect fit to make that happen for me. Within that range I r…

Well at the time my female friends were terrified by the idea of casual sex, but a few of them ended up getting boyfriends. It's one thing to learn how to perform things your partner likes doing, and it's another thing to actually enjoy doing them. Im still very confused about what your point is. Obtaining $100 mil at 20 is infinitely more valuable than marrying somebody. You can secure a high value partner at 20 without getting married to them. Receiving a large sum of money is only a net benefit. Getting married at 20 may end up being a good thing, or it may end up being the biggest mistake of somebody's life. Receiving $100 mil is no risk, high reward. The reason rape is so heinous is because it involves the loss of personal autonomy. It's also the reason a lot of women end up needing abortions in the first place. If no-fault divorce gets taken then women will have to worry about spousal rape a lot more too. Rape is definitely a huge risk for women. 1 in for women have been sexually assaulted. Also, 1 in 4 women have an abortion during their lifetime. Abortion affects the same amount of women as rape does.

Oh I'm aware of it's origins, it's because of how bastardized it's become that I've asked for clarification. Generally the people using it aren't using it correctly to the point where it's nearly impossible to know what someone means when they use the word (which is unfortunate).

100% If you voted for Trump, that means you actively voted against my freedoms to express myself (I'm gender nonconforming) and to have control over my own body (I'm also female). It's a compatibility issue when it comes to personal values at the absolute best, and if I happen to get pregnant it's a death sentence. Even if you don't hold those specific views and "voted with your wallet" I still want nothing to do with you. You don't care about me or people like me, plain and simple. If you didn'…

People absolutely do cheat, I've been cheated on before. My point is I won't enter a monogamous relationship with someone I don't trust not to cheat on me. Ofc you can be wrong about people, and you shouldn't blindly trust people, but by the time you commit to somebody you should have built up some level of trust. Otherwise why would you commit to that person at all? Trust is the most important aspect of any committed relationship to me, and if I don't have trust with somebody I'm not going to c…

The comment they made was in support of body hair and the comment they were responding to was also in support of body hair. They didn't change their opinion on body hair when they found out they were responding to a woman complaining that their body hair can't just be normal, just took back being confrontational about it because they agree with eachother that if someone has an issue with female body hair they just need to get over it. That's how I interpreted the situation anyway

No. First off, I like being single. I've never once sought out a relationship. If we catch feelings for eachother then we'll discuss a relationship, but I'm extremely hesitant to want to commit to somebody. If I am going to commit to only having sex with one person indefinitely, then yes I do need to find them attractive physically and non-physically. They also have to be good at sex and fun to hang out with. If I'm sacrificing my single life for somebody, then they have to be the whole package …

I don't find a lot of men attractive, I'm bisexual with a preference for women, but just because I don't find someone attractive doesn't mean I think they're ugly. I'll still sleep with people I'm not attracted to, but I won't sleep with someone I find to be ugly.

By that logic it seems that it's not men and women that are incompatible, but just that LTRs in general aren't realistic if I'm understanding correctly? I'm bisexual and my female partners and I have also drifted apart over time, it happens. LTRs don't mean certainty for women either. I'm generally not an LTR person anyway, like i said I prefer to be single, but if you catch feelings you catch feelings ¯_(ツ)_/¯ then when/if you grow apart, you break up. Good sex is a thing I value too, which is why if the sex is bad//I don't find someone attractive, I won't have sex with that person again and certainly won't date them. Why would anybody be sexually exclusive with someone who sucks at sex? There are plenty of people who are good at sex out there, and they aren't difficult to find. Good sex is not something I'm willing to compromise on in any sexual relationship, romantic or not. Ultimately, romantic relationships are about love and companionship…

She said she wouldn't bang uggos. Idk ab you but I wouldn't call "average" ugly. I feel like ugly means repulsive and most people aren't repulsive. Plenty of average people are physically attractive, they're just not perfect 10s. Most people are average and most people date within 1 or 2 "attractiveness points" of themselves. Ugly people date ugly people, average people date average people, and beautiful people date beautiful people generally speaking.

Washing the dishes and being pro-choice won't get me to sleep with a person alone, true. However, if a man won't wash the dishes and is anti-choice then he can bet his bottom dollar I won't date or sleep with him no matter how physically attractive I thought he was. These behaviors aren't necessarily attractive by themselves, but the lack of these behaviors is unattractive enough to disqualify people for me and I think that's what a lot of women mean when they say stuff like that.

It isn't if you haven't been told to vacate. Leases have tons of things in them and people violate their leases every day with their landlords never even knowing. If my lease says no pets, and I get a cat my landlord doesn't know about, I've violated my lease but I'm not getting evicted until the landlord finds out and tells me I'm evicted. Lease violations don't always end in evictions either. You are squatting if you are living somewhere you don't have permission to live. If the permission has…

We weren't talking about squatting (and even then there are squatters rights in the US, although I'm not well versed in those), we were talking about an apartment that you have a lease for and have stopped paying rent. Not paying rent ≠ ending the lease. It will usually get you evicted, but if you haven't been evicted you don't have to vacate. My uncle is a landlord and had a tenant that didn't pay her rent for months but he didn't evict her and she stayed. After signing a lease, until either th…

No? If you haven't been evicted, you still have the right to be there. If your landlord has given you notice to vacate/started the eviction process then you have to leave but until your landlord tells you you have to leave, you can legally stay. Also, not paying your rent won't get you arrested since not paying rent isn't a crime. If you fail to vacate after being evicted it could lead to arrest, but you are fully entitled to be there until you are formally asked to leave. Circling back to the o…

Nobody's gonna die if a woman doesn't do those things, tho (with the exception of taking care of her existing children, which the father is equally obligated to). The woman is equally obligated to do something in the scenario of witnessing an attack as a man is, even if that something is just calling 911. We don't even need a higher conviction rate for me to feel better tbh, I just want convicted rapists to like actually serve time for their crimes. I do think that most women care more about what other women think than what men think, but ultimately, I think women mostly do things for themselves and not to impress others. It's possible that men becoming a rarity would make them a status symbol, but I think it's a minority of women that actually care about things like that. Women want things that make /them/ happy, not things that make other people happy. I could just be projecting but that's been my experience.

I know plenty of women who have one night stands (myself among them when I'm not in a relationship) but we're always told we're whores when we do that and that the more people we sleep with, the more disgusting we are. 100%. Women generally would prefer to be single than with a man they don't like. Women outnumbering men by this far of a margin is just gonna lead to more childless cat ladies and lesbians (I say this as someone who is happily childless and into women). Men aren't competing with eachother for women anymore as much as they're competing with women's single lifestyles. Even if Women outnumber men 2:1, a man still has to be desirable if he wants to, well, be desired.

Random men in the woods are there for some other reason, probably the same reason you're in the woods, but you can't be sure of that. This is funny because the color of the bear matters a lot more than the color of the man. Take black bears for example. Not very dangerous to humans. They scare easily and generally aren't a threat. They're not uncommon in my area, tend to mind their own business and won't usually hurt you unless you pose some kind of threat to them. Even then, they usually just run away unless they have cubs or you're gonna be stupid and chase after them. Grizzly/brown bears are significantly more dangerous but…

Yeah when we're going on a date of course we want to look good, but confidence is also a big component in that. A lot of women wear makeup on a day-to-day basis as well, even when attracting a man isn't something we're trying to do. Personally, I wear light makeup (really just eyeliner) even if I'm not leaving the house just because it makes me feel better about the way that I look even if I won't be interacting with anyone. I mean, maybe they should and maybe they shouldn't, it probably depends on the man (like if a guy is 6'4, 270lbs and an MMA fighter he probably doesnt have to be afraid in the same way a 5'2" 130lb guy might). My point is simply that we're talking about whether or not women are valid in their fear of men and the comment he replied to didn't say anything implying men couldn't be victims too.
