You don’t know the difference between a fact and an interpretation of a fact. You put yourself on a pedestal, completely oblivious to the fact you’re actually wallowing in the muck. Sad.

You lied. You said your post would be "no thoughts; only facts", yet you went back on that when you opined on the motherhood penalty. Your reasoning on the (lack of) motherhood penalty is non sequitur, by the way. Married does not equal motherhood. Also married women tend to be older than single women, so you're comparing groups at different times in their careers. Too easy to rip your "logic" to shreds. You'll fare better in the future if you stick to only facts and leave the interpretation of …

If you can't cook a simple meal by the time you're 20 you're not endearing, you're incompetent. Does anyone have a use for incompetent men? I sure don't.

Not surprising to me in the least. My wife likes that stuff and it's a turnoff for me.

No, women do not see men as human beings. Women see men as dangerous predators, monsters. Case in point, you.

Eh, they think they want to be seen as a piece of meat. The idea is more enticing than the reality. Men who experience being seen as a piece of meat don't find it that great either. Very, very few men ever experience this, so most men spend their lives in a "grass is greener" mindset.

You’re looking at an infinitesimally small slice of life to reach your conclusion. Dating apps are a wasteland that exist to extract money from men by making them miserable. Stop using dating apps. Stop using dating apps as some sort of measurement of how things are balanced between the sexes. The overwhelming majority of men don’t use them. An even greater proportion of women don’t use them. They are full of fake profiles with the sole purpose of extracting money from you. The few actual women …

If you honestly believe height is the most important factor for women, I suggest you meet some actual women. No doubt there are some women who care about height, but the idea that all women care about height more than anything else is idiotic. Seriously, get off the internet and explore the real world. It’s really not that terrifying.

Sure, just avoid the Uncanny Valley so many makeup artists (and camera filters) inexplicably seem to shoot for.

Disagree that it’s harder for men. I think it’s harder for women than it is for men, but it’s closer than a lot of women realize. So many women honestly believe there’s no beauty standard for men. Men, on the other hand, routinely underestimate how much pressure women experience regarding their appearance, but very few deny there’s any pressure at all.

Very few people genuinely want to do those jobs. The reason so many men do it is because they’re brainwashed by patriarchy into believing it’s “manly” work. It’s a way to gain status Women never get that status or the programming, so why would they ever want to (on a large scale)?

People misconstruing what’s being said or the point that’s trying to be made doesn’t just happen here. It’s pervasive in all social media. Social media is a very serious problem in our society and it’s not just an algorithm problem. Algorithms only speed up the process of people self-segregating into their preferred echo chambers, they aren’t the root cause.

“Reported”. Here’s the thing people who cling to crime statistics don’t understand. Whatever percentage of sexual assaults committed by men go unreported, a far greater percentage of sexual assaults committed by women go unreported. Why? Misogyny. A man grabs a random woman’s boob, pretty much everyone agrees that’s sexual assault. A woman grabs a random woman’s boob, people don’t take it nearly as seriously. My wife was sexually assaulted by a woman she works with. That woman didn’t lose her jo…

Yeah, I’m not going to pay my wife for sex. We’ve had shared finances for over 10 years, so it makes no sense. And even if we didn’t have shared finances, she’s a physician. She doesn’t need my lowly engineer money.

What are you talking about? Stretchiness is negatively correlated with breakage rates. In other words a stretchier condom is less likely to break (because it stretches instead of breaking, duh). It's the thinness that makes them more likely to break. Excuses? Why would I need any excuses? I'm in my late 40s, I'm done having kids, and I've had a vasectomy. My wife would think it's super weird if I started using condoms because some judgmental internet jackass told me to.

I'm not really average? I'm married with a couple young kids and I do the overwhelming majority of cooking and cleaning, while working full time as an engineer who travels ~30%. I supported my wife through medical school and residency, and now we're doing pretty well financially. But it's never enough, I'll never measure up no matter what I do.

It'll never change for the same reason trees won't all decide to be shorter instead of competing for light at the top of the canopy and people won't all decide to stop crowding the conveyors at baggage claim. If you stop playing, you lose.

That's a picture painted by women telling their stories about how they're constantly approached by men. The current narrative is that all women are under a constant threat of being approached by a creepy guy who has a 50% chance of murdering her if she says "no".

I wish there were more women in manufacturing, but women tend to gravitate toward the office jobs and away from anything that involves spending significant time on a factory floor. The company I work for would love to hire more female engineers, but they just don't apply. Out of 60 engineers we've got maybe 3 or 4 who are women. I don't know exactly why, but the ~50% travel is probably a significant factor.

I also live in the Midwest. You probably live in a place where people are allowed to actually do something about deer overpopulation (we've made their primary predator, wolves, extinct). Besides the deer eating everything we plant that isn't truly "deer resistant", we also get a few deer corpses from automobile collisions dumped into our yard every year. The deer is killed by a vehicle and instead of disposing of the carcass properly, someone drags it into our yard and makes it our problem. I us…

Wtf are you talking about? I (man) pay for my kids daycare. I pay on dates because I'm transactional when it comes to relationships, but not the way most people think. I'm transactional against myself. I never allow myself to "owe" other people anything because then I'm worthless.

The attractive women on dating apps are mostly bots, meaning they're not actually available. Those profiles exist to fool men into spending money.

Agreed. Some of these people actually wrote "has kids" as a red flag. Maybe people got lost and thought this was that toxic r/childfree subreddit?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 03:41 AM

How is "has kids" a red flag? Maybe you don't want to deal with kids, that's fine, but that's a preference, not a red flag. A red flag is typically a sign that someone is some sort of train wreck or immoral piece of shit. "Abuses kids" would be a red flag.

I'm no hunter, but I've grown to love seeing dead deer. They're such a massive nuisance where I live and it's illegal to do literally anything about it. Can't have a garden because the deer will eat everything. Anyway, everyone should want deer to die. That's all I really wanted to say.

No, there are literally zero people who are "jaw dropping" attractive and also a great person. The experiences of people who are "jaw dropping" attractive prevent them from fully developing their empathy. It's similar to how being a billionaire turns you into a bad person because your experiences are so different from the rest of humanity that you become separated.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/22 02:40 AM

That depends on what stage you are in the relationship. Early in a relationship people absolutely do overrate their partner's appearance. Ten+ years in the story changes.

Polyisoprene, not polyisopropylene. They're less effective than latex and oil-based lube causes them to degrade. There's no such thing as a free lunch...anything that makes condoms feel like less of a barrier will also result in them being less effective. Polyurethane condoms are even thinner than polyisoprene and also even less effective.

100% disagree. MacKenzie got such a large settlement because she played such a huge role in the creation of Jeff's wealth. She wasn't a "house wife", she was intimately involved in the building of Amazon. If Jeff gets married again and cheats on his second wife, she absolutely would not deserve billions or even millions of dollars because she wouldn't have contributed to the creation of Jeff's wealth.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 05:23 PM

Men (and others) who complain about how much money she got are not really thinking this through. Jeff didn't get a bad deal. He had the best divorce attorneys money could buy and the dollar figure was based on evidence that's not public knowledge. I don't understand why anyone even cares enough to complain. It's not their money.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 05:19 PM

Cheating isn't really relevant in determining how much MacKenzie gets in the divorce settlement. Cheating is only relevant because it's what caused the divorce. Though, I doubt cheating was their only problem. Cheating was probably just the "straw that broke the camel's back". Jeff doesn't build Amazon into what it is today without MacKenzie's help. The actual dollar amount her contribution was worth was determined by evidence that we (the public) can't see. I'm pretty sure Jeff was able to hire…

He's pretty cringe. I've got nothing against roasting people who make stupid decisions, but it would be more entertaining if he didn't make so many baseless generalizations. It's certainly possible to roast his targets by focusing on them as individuals, but he just doesn't seem to have the skill or intelligence to do that. He's a long, long, long way from being a real comedian.

I don’t know what that is, but I’ll say no because I despise labels. They’re mostly used as a vehicle to assign unflattering traits and beliefs to people you don’t like. My post was partially in jest because I’m sure there are some well-meaning people in TRP. But only partially because TRP is overloaded with incompetent fools.

I wouldn’t call Valerie Solanas an intellectual, but if you want to that’s fine. And if you want to believe TRP started in vacuum, uninfluenced by anything that came before it, that’s fine. It also makes you wrong. We are all influenced by what came before us. Assigning hyper-agency to men and hypo-agency to women doesn’t help to resolve anything, but it does score you points in the never-ending gender war.

If I found out my son had no interests other than attracting women, I would consider myself a failure as a father and do what I could to help him develop some interests. That’s not a problem right now. My son is kind of obsessed with dinosaurs and running, kinda typical for a four year old.

I was 5’11” 135 when I was 18 in the early 90s. I was considered skinny at the time, but not super skinny. Now I’m 175 lbs in my mid 40s. I could stand to lose probably 10 lbs of fat, but I’m still a 34 inch waist. No one who looks at me thinks “fat”, but I definitely feel fat sometimes.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/21 02:52 PM

I’m also GenX and mostly agree with your assessment. Dating apps do give women more opportunities, but most don’t have satisfying experiences because of how dating apps work. So in the end almost no one is happy. Most men get ignored. The men who do get some action are continually chasing novelty, so they never develop meaningful relationships. And women get lots of attention, but almost all of it is either negative or shallow. Blaming men or women is silly because no individual or group is at f…

Oh, so you think I don't actually do >95% of the housework in my home? You think I'm overestimating? My wife literally didn't learn how to use the dishwasher until a couple months ago. We moved into our current home 2 years ago. She's loaded the dishwasher 3 or 4 times since, but she never empties it. My response is really to the tone of your posts. You're very much into the gender war. Trying to make men feel ashamed that they're men is clearly your thing. That says nothing about feminism. This is about you as a person.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/21 10:17 PM

Suicide rates are not higher among men because of guns. How do we know this? Because men commit suicide at a significantly higher rate than women in almost every nation that has reliable data, and acquiring a gun is difficult in many of those nations. Men commit suicide significantly more often than women, full stop. Diatribes about gun ownership are unnecessary and a form of victim blaming. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The Left isn’t wrong to define some aspects of traditional masculinity as “toxic”, the key word being “some”.
