For the theory perspective: Read up on the topic of emotional self-regulation, the mechanisms behind willpower and volition, and lastly what constitutes and enhances general well-being and apply them to your own experiences.

The man isn't giving his attention. This girl's effort in trying to establish attraction isn't being reciprocated. Holding frame != being apathetic. I have killed a huge portion of my social network just by being apathetic alone (depression is crippling, but that's another story).

How to read a book by Mortimer J. Adler. It will help you to gain and refine the skills you need for reading other theory books in an engaging manner. IMHO, it should be a perquisite. Make It Stick might also help you to consolidate, apply and calibrate your knowledge not just in TRP but across all contexts too.

Heh - I wonder how the dynamics might change if RPW encountered a TRP IRL. There'd be many an interesting of social exchanges with both parties trying to size each other up and see what they have to offer. Would both be able to identify the RP traits and thus a potential LTR? Would it turn into a FWB for both sides if the exchange is purely sex and common beliefs? Would one party be too quick to call the shots and lose a potential 'node' within their social network as a result of relatively 'phe…

Their loss. Those people can choose to flirt with their fleeting, fantasies. Life is not Hollywood; it's a cruel game that operates under a framework of biological, evolutionary rules and social engineering. Hybridising the social and sexual identity of an and a woman (of which feminism can be argued this way) is going against those rules and those that do generally trap themselves in a pit of despair. It's the same trying to be financially successful, sexually fulfilled and/or academically equi…

This might be worth a topic on its own but I wonder if those that are more nihilistic and/or existentialistic are more receptive to TRP. At least it was for me. There is nothing. No prejudice. Only the state at which it use to exist and how it now exists and what that entity will likely exist as in the foreseeable future. Like the generalised behaviour of men and women. Too bad these topics tend to sidetrack off into incoherent ramblings or armchair philosophy.

Read it. It's more valuable than you think. What he means is that your girl may have a change of heart from new experiences. Meets another guy, somehow becomes career-obsessed and becomes a Plain Jane, etc Edit: spelling

As the community grows, the proportion of newbies relative to veterans will grow. Hence a lower "signal-to-noise" ratio and unsustainable growth.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
