In addition to being surrounded by white culture, western media severely underrepresents positive Asian male role models. So when an Asian girl grows up in America and all she sees on tv, commercials, and movies are white men, she’ll be brainwashed into thinking white men are THE ideal partner. Although for Asian women outside of western countries, the desire to be closer to whiteness and move up in class seems to be the primary reason. I was in the Philippines last week and saw a good amount of…

No, they don’t. But there’s something wrong when Asian women only make up 3% of America’s population but date out the most compared to other races of men and women. I never knew about this issue when I was a child living in Japan and the Philippines even though I saw a few white male & asian female couples in those countries. I always thought it was strange. It wasn’t until I read about how some Asian girls hate their own culture and desire to be white so they decide to date out to feel better a…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 03:40 AM

If you take into account how Asians make up only 6% of America’s population, and if 3% are Asian women, and that demographic dates out the most percentage wise compared to other races, that’s a problem. It screams self hate and internalized racism. Asian culture has awful white worshipping tendencies and I believe this affects a lot of Asian girls living in the west bc there are very few positive Asian male representation in American media. A similar equivalent would be black men who date outsid…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 03:25 AM

There are statistics that say Asian women date outside of their race the most and this embarrasses me as an Asian woman.

First dates should never be expensive unless both parties agree to split the bill.

Depending on the culture, yes. Asian culture looks down on promiscuous women bc many Asian cultures are still traditional and conservative. From what I see in American culture, promiscuity is encouraged and people don’t seem to care as much about their partner’s body count.

Construction, fishing, logging, roadwork, linemen, sewer workers, etc. Being outdoors is good but these types of jobs are hazardous and I’ve never seen any women do them. I drive around my city regularly and pass by construction projects for new apartments and condos and never see a single female construction worker. When I see my local power company’s lineman check the power lines, I don’t see a single woman climbing up power poles. There are men who work indoors but the vast majority of danger…

I just wanna point out how working with children can be stressful but teachers lives arent at risk like the jobs men take. Most women are very fortunate to work at jobs where they’re indoors compared to men who work outside and are exposed to the elements daily or at risk of workplace accidents.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 04:51 PM

I agree. I think both parents should try to be involved in their kids lives somehow and not be absent from it just bc they have a more demanding job.

My mom is a nurse and I’ve seen how tired she is after coming home from work every morning. I don’t expect her to cook and clean for us everyday bc that’s selfish, and that’s why I had to learn housework to help my parents out. My point is, whichever party in a couple works a less demanding job should try to pick up the slack for their partner to show gratitude. If the woman has the more demanding job, the man should take on the larger share of parenting responsibilities, and vice versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 02:03 PM
2

There are women who take on physically demanding jobs but not in the same amount as men. You’ll rarely see a woman on construction sites or as loggers or fishers. I am aware of how society expects women to take on parenting responsibilities even while she works and this is the cause of frustration for so many modern women. Parenting should be a shared responsibility but couples should try to make compromises depending on how much free time they have, their work responsibilities, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 01:54 PM

If you have a very physically demanding job, you won’t have the energy for other things like spending time with your kids, cooking, cleaning, etc. Both my parents work full time and in physically demanding jobs and I have to help raise my siblings to ease the burden on my parents. To me, whoever has the least physically demanding job should try to pick up the slack for their partner if they can. It doesn’t matter the gender, but historically, men have always taken more dangerous and physically d…

Don’t men work in more labor intensive and dangerous jobs than women? It would be unfair to expect a man who does something like road work or construction to also provide the same level of parenting as women who likely work in white collar or easier/safer jobs. If most men have easy and cushy jobs then I can understand why people would be upset, but this isn’t the case.

Yeah, it’s a double standard when I see girls saying they won’t date short or fat guys, but then they get offended when guys say they don’t want fat girls.

Why are you associating Asians with trad wives, and why mention kimchi, bentos, ricewater, etc? Also Asian women rarely make Asian food outside of their own culture.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/24 07:52 PM

Free speech is good, but it’s probably also a good idea to regulate spaces that promote hate towards the opposite gender. I just don’t understand how people get to that point where they hate the opposite gender. I never heard of the terms incel or femcel until I started exploring Reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 04:19 AM

Sorry, I was talking about internet spaces. I’ve been to subreddits which people would call incel subs bc the men there were misogynistic. While some women only subs aren’t as bad bc they try to prohibit any femcel talk. Some women only subs do try to fear monger, which is why I said they sometimes have borderline misandrist views. Anyway I dislike it when both genders generalize the other and paint them in a bad light.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 04:07 AM

It depends on the places you visit. Female only spaces tend to exhibit views bordering on misandry. While male only spaces tend to be misogynistic. Edit: I was referring to internet spaces

Yeah guys can be very delusional too. Social media warped everyone’s expectations for their partners and also inflated their own egos.

I think the women with extremely high standards like the ones on Kevin Samuels show would be happier if they stopped trying to aim for men who are like the top 1%. It just isn’t realistic. Instead of trying to date the doctor, lawyer, athlete, CEO, they should look at guys with other respectable jobs like electricians, plumbers, mailmen, small business owner, etc. The guys on this sub don’t reflect the average guy irl though. I’m sure the average guy isn’t filled with hate towards the average wo…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 06:17 PM
5

I saw a Kevin Samuel’s video and one of the recurring problems of single women on his show was they don’t like to settle. Idk why society tells people to aim high when looking for a partner when they should be aiming for realism instead. I find it funny how some of those women wanted men who made 6 figures when they didn’t make that amount themselves. I sincerely hope people come back to earth with their standards bc being delusional isn’t healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 01:28 AM
7

Yeah it seems like those women have high standards so they only choose the high quality men. It would be preferable if people’s standards were more realistic bc it’s weird to think about a few guys having a roster of thirsty girls around him. I think those girls would be happier being with someone on their level instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 01:12 AM

Yeah. Idk who thinks one gender has more higher quality people than the other. “Quality” can be really subjective too.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 11:54 PM

Who’s saying there’s a giant gap? If there was any research done on this (which would probably be a waste of time), both genders would likely be close. Whoever’s worse likely depends on what the parameters or conditions are, and if there’s any bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 11:52 PM
22

What parameters are we going by and are there any statistics to prove that there is an equal number? I agree anyway bc bad quality people from both genders exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 08:39 PM

Yes, low quality people from both genders exist. I don’t have a problem with that statement. If guys don’t want low quality women, just avoid them.

Irrational fear. It’s so dumb to think that an entire gender are predators. I think this is just fearmongering to fuel gender wars in the internet.

I appreciate your concern. I actually go to an afterschool adolescent behavioral program for my self esteem issues, among other things. No, I don’t want them to think they owe me anything if I give them something out of kindness.

We pay for our own things for the most part. Like he would buy his own movie ticket and food, and I do the same for myself. He does let me use his metro ticket when we take the subway bc I don’t go to NYC, while he goes often. It’s hard for me to describe why I feel so badly about owing something bc of a date. I feel like it’s the money and time spent on me that makes me feel guilty. I don’t like the thought of wasting other people’s time. Oh yes, that should be why women should pay their share …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 05:45 AM
2

Tbh I’ve never gone on a date romantically, but I’ve had dates with my friend and we would always pay our share. I just dislike the feeling and the thought of owing someone bc of what we did on a date. Yes, that’s a great way to clear up any misunderstandings and prevent conflict around money when dating. Perhaps the problem some people have is they don’t express it well or not at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 05:24 AM
2

I think your date payment situation works out bc you and your bf already know each other and don’t plan to take advantage of one another. Whereas on first dates, some people don’t plan on seeing the other person again and are only using them for a free meal. Ideally, yes, more people should try to split the bill out of fairness. Although I have no problem if one person pays for the entire bill out of politeness, bc the other person clearly cannot afford to contribute (bc they might be poorer).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 04:57 AM

I think the problem happens more often on first dates where some girls use guys for free meals. Edit: Some guys do this too

Well, doesn’t being a 10 include things like being the best looking and the wealthiest? That’s the point we’re trying to establish here. If you’re not the best looking or wealthiest, you’re not a 10. Sorry, I don’t want to date them. I’m straight. The issue is their mindset is delusional and not grounded in reality. They’re free to think like that though, and make themselves look dumb in front of millions of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 01:56 AM
5

That doesn’t make sense bc the question is “what do you rate yourself”, not “do you love yourself”. Real 10s don’t waste time on podcasts trying to convince the world they’re 10s. That’s the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 01:47 AM
8

You’re right, we don’t know much about you and it would be unfair to dismiss you as a 10. I’m just saying that one argument of this thread is the reality of REAL 10s are much different from people who THINK they are 10s. The girls on the podcasts who said they are 10s, aren’t, bc they don’t have the looks, lifestyles, or the wealth of actual 10s. And again if any of those girls are 10s, then they would be movie stars or walking on a runway somewhere. Not wasting time on a podcast trying to convi…

I think there’s a difference between what you want to think about yourself vs the reality, and I’m talking about the latter. I’m sure that’s what the OP is talking about as well. I was alluding to the lives of the top 1% of society. Only the wealthiest actually live like 10s. You might be different and actually come from a wealthy family. Regarding looks, 10s are very rare and people who are actual 10s, have high paying jobs revolving around it like modeling or acting. Even then, most actors and…

I was alluding to whatever the top 1% or the wealthiest people experience from the day they were young or born. Probably stuff like living in mansions, going to the best, most prestigious schools, owning luxury cars, never worrying about debt, etc. I’m willing to bet most people who say they are 10s have never lived like that. Edit: Forgot to mention that if you’re super wealthy, you never have to worry about working or finding a job. Your life is pretty much set.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 01:06 AM
15

Can I ask if you objectively think you’re a 10, or that’s what you tell yourself to be confident? Bc telling others you’re a 10 comes off as really arrogant and when they hear that, they’ll naturally size you up. If you don’t look like a 10, don’t have the wealth of a 10, or the life experiences of a 10, it’s better to not say anything at all. Being humble is more attractive and endearing to others than overrating yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/24 11:58 PM

If you’re a girl on a podcast and you call yourself a 10…., you’re not a 10 😆 I don’t think even top actresses call themselves a 10. There’s really no humility in some people.

You don’t have to be white to attract those poor girls. I saw a few black guys and a lot of Koreans when I was in the Philippines. If you have money, they’ll call out to you.

Ideally you want a relationship where both sides aren’t using each other to get ahead in life. The poor Filipino girls I’m talking about see foreign guys as ATMs to support their huge families who are living in poverty.

Do girls really put that much importance on height that they’ll ignore the ugly face that comes with it? I’ve only seen this with basketball players but they make millions, and money makes up for a lot of things.

I’m never going to use dating apps. I’d like to find my partner like how my parents met each other. And you don’t know if guys find me attractive enough to make that claim with 500 matches.

The attractiveness of a woman depends on how many men are “fawning” over her. Most lonely women are ugly or socially awkward. I’m guessing very few are conventionally attractive like you’re imagining them to be. Even if it’s easier for hideous women, most of them want to be in real relationships. Not casual flings or hookups.

Honestly, there could be a number of reasons why you’re not getting matches. Maybe the girls on the apps are too picky, or your standards are high. You might have a better shot asking girls out in person, or asking a friend to introduce you to somebody.
/r/AllPillDebate30/10/23 01:23 AM

Who are you looking to attract? White Australians or other minorities? White girls might be more picky because they tend to prefer tall white guys.

Can standing out for being tall be a negative thing for men? They might get picked on for deviating too much from the norm, like short guys. I picked 5’11/6’ because my dad is 5’10 and my younger brother is 6’ ft tall. I thought I would be that height if I was a guy. I didn’t know about median heights for both genders, lol. Do a lot of women really have strict requirements? And what about guys, do they require a certain height for women? How about weight?

I think being that tall isn’t good because you stand out too much from the general population. If I was reborn as a guy, I’d like to be around 5’11 or 6 ft. But it all depends on how good looking my face is. I feel like guys put too much emphasis on height to make up for their face. I think guys who are around 5’8 and handsome, are just as attractive as someone taller. 🙂

I won’t speak about weight, because I do agree that it’s something that can be fixed with some willpower. I’ve seen some men say they prefer women bare faced, without makeup. Men also don’t want to start a family with an ugly woman, and vice versa.
/r/AllPillDebate26/10/23 09:17 PM

What is TRP? Idk how many ugly women are obese. I always thought they were talking about their face. There’s not much you can do with the face you’re born with aside from plastic surgery, and most ugly women lack the funds to fix it. Makeup isn’t going to help when most men prefer seeing the natural bare face of their partner.

Something that bothers me is people having too high standards for their ideal partner when they don't meet those standards themselves. They have a skewed perception of their self worth making them think they deserve a partner of that caliber. This is probably why most guys dislike how below average and average looking girls reject them and going after the fabled Chad. What's even worse is that same group of women belittle and insult men in their own looksrange, thinking they are above them. Men …

I appreciate the link, but I was only able to read the abstract not the full article. Dark skin IS viewed as more masculine by some people, but that doesn’t take into account other beauty standards or preferred phenotypes. For example, dark skin possesses a negative stigma in many parts of the world where it is commonly associated with “bad”. So you have to wonder if dark skin is actually a good thing.

Black men are taller on average than other races, but that’s about it. They don’t possess any qualities that other men can’t have.

Wdym by most masculine? Because there are masculine traits that exist outside of appearance.

Are you trying to paint me as a racist? Someone like me who is of the Asian race and ethnically Japanese-Filipino has a better chance of finding a date or a successful relationship with a fellow Asian (or Japanese or Filipino) because we share the same culture and values and also likely find Asian features more attractive than western features. This is really common sense and how the rest of the world are attracted to each other.

I don’t understand what you’re saying. My point was that if your ethnicity is the minority in a society, you automatically have a handicap in the dating market. Most people will flock towards those whose appearance fits the beauty standard, and if you don’t fit it, you might have a better shot with someone from your own ethnicity. I’m not telling people to not date white people.

Jin is my favorite and he warped my expectations on what an ideal Asian man should look like when I was younger 😅.

Not all women think like that. I like good looking characters in my games too. That’s one of the main reasons why I love final fantasy games.

Her attitude is ugly. I won't comment on her appearance because some guys might find her attractive. She didn't need to insult guys who are less attractive than her. The most insulting part though, is that she thinks she's above them for some reason.

If you’re trying to date white people, yeah. If you stick to your own ethnicity or race, your chances should be a lot better.

Isn’t this common sense for any minority in the west? We will always be beneath whites in the dating market because America is a predominantly white country that promotes western beauty standards. It would be like if I traveled to Argentina and saw that most guys preferred Argentinian women. I shouldn’t be surprised if Asians are having a hard time there.

I relate to this girl. I was bullied a lot in middle school and my first 2 yrs of high school which made me become a “femcel”.

I can’t support girls who choose to go on OF or are very promiscuous. They’re really setting themselves us for failure in the end when no man wants to marry a slut.

I dont have a problem if above average looking or truly beautiful women didn’t find average men attractive. I think most people here dislike it when below average to average looking women don’t find average men attractive.

Something is really wrong with dating culture if most women are trying to lockdown the few chads, instead of being with average guys.

From what I’ve seen, this problem is really prevalent in the west because some women have unrealistic standards or are more shallow.

Is there a way to make more relationships happen? Idc about sex because I think casual sex does more harm than good.

If that type of girl is your preference then go ahead. If she isn't, don't. Why do people make it sound like they HAVE to date girls like those?

I think I was a decent looking kid and after puberty, I became an ugly teen/young adult.

Agree. I think the vast majority of women would choose average height Johnny Depp over someone like Channing Tatum.

For me it’s face. I’d rather date someone who looks like Mackenyu over a taller guy like Shohei Otani.

I’m sorry but open relationships and hookup culture are so toxic to me. I have no idea how people can maintain trust these days.

Oh darn, I have an acne scar on my chin that looks like a small cigarette burn. There goes my chances of being with a guy, huh? ☹️ Wouldn’t it be better if everyone goes after their looksmatch, instead of aiming higher? Going after someone out of your league almost always ends in disappointment. But it seems like most people have no clue where they belong on the attractiveness scale. I’m guilty of always comparing myself to others, especially to K-pop idols, Japanese actresses, etc. And you’re r…

That’s a great point. Going into relationships with that way of thinking is much better because it’ll create less resentment if things dont work out. However, I don’t want to see guys put in too much effort or else they’ll look like a simp, especially if the previous guy didn’t give the same amount of effort. To me, it would look like the girl is stringing the poor guy along.

Yes, women can be invisible to men. You know that unattractive, overweight girl you went to school with? She likely never went on a date in her life. Girls don’t even have to be overweight to be invisible. They could just be plain ugly and will never get attention from guys her entire life. No, we’re not all attracted to Chads. Many FAW are aware of their status and know they can never attract that type of guy. I’ve read posts of women saying they tried dating short men, bald men, broke men, abu…

Yeah, I suspect social media warped everyone’s standards. I have a question. What are their standards for women?

I don’t mind reading vent posts from guys because its nice to see their views on modern dating culture. I dislike the posts that have a certain level of vitriol towards all women. It’s very off putting and is likely the main reason why FAW users are discouraged from visiting places like these. I also don’t think single guys are losers, because FAW are on the same boat too. I would describe FAW as the invisible women. The unattractive, socially inept ones that don’t get any attention from guys. T…

I never dated or had sex before so I can’t really provide any insight on this. Although, I do understand how unfair it is for guys to put in more effort when courting a girl, when the previous guy didn’t.

The west not valuing traditional family values and marriage have hurt both sexes too. I find it really strange how a lot of people nowadays glorify single parenthood like it’s an achievement, and also divorcing their partner for the pettiest reasons (like being bored). My parents are very traditional and we come from cultures where you would be shamed or disowned for having a child out of wedlock. I find the modern dating culture really toxic because while it helped give women more power and opt…

You’re so right, it’s scary 😟. But hasn’t this always been the case? The huge problem I see nowadays is below average or average girls having unbelievably high standards in men. However, I’d like to exclude FAW from that group because most are aware of their looksmatch and rarely go for “Chads”.

Not always. Most athletes and musical artists look average at best and yet they get girls out of their looks range because they make millions. If they weren’t getting paid that much, those girls wouldn’t look in their direction at all. I follow jpop and kpop, and interestingly, some actresses and idols marry non celebrities. So there is still a chance of an average looking guy getting together with a beautiful girl.

It’s mostly looks. Men don’t have to be 6 ft or taller if you have a great face. Ig if a guy is average looking, being taller than average can help. Also having a full head of hair helps too, along with a good hairstyle. Its a sign of good health and genetics, and that you care about your appearance.

I’ve been on FAW for about half a year and most of the people there have said that they were either too ugly and men ignore them, or have low self esteem/mental health issues that makes it difficult for them to trust men. Usually it’s a combination of the two because unattractive women get so jaded from being mistreated all the time, that they become FAW. Many FAW also don’t care about sex. They want true relationships. I was friends with an older FAW in her 30s who told me she would actually go…
