Divorce Songs List RecommendationsYeah, probably. We’ve all been there or currently there | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 11:11 PM
Divorce Songs List RecommendationsIt’s not though. It’s one sided love. She left him, but he continued to love her. The opening lyrics: He said, "I'll love you till I die" She told him, "You'll forget in time" As the years went slowly by She still preyed upon his mind He kept her picture on his wall Went half crazy now and then But he still loved her through it all Hoping she'd come back again | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 10:18 PM
Divorce Songs List RecommendationsDepends on what mood you’re looking for. Reflect, cry, grieve, then move on in time. These songs may cover breakups more than divorce specifically. Marilyn Manson covering Justin Timberlake - What goes around comes around The Cure - A letter to Elise Nirvana - I know you’re right Blink 182 - Holiday (stay together for the kids) Tammy Wynette - Divorce George Jones - He stopped loving her today Aerosmith - what it takes Dashboard Confessional - Screaming infidelities | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/24 08:04 PM
The Gym is NOT the Answer for Everyone…and Could Even be Dangerous…Don’t just hit the gym, get on gear too. And listen to Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate, that’ll show her! /s | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/12/23 05:40 PM
Friday nights are the worstGet a different gym if it’s closed. Not a 24/7 gym? I ain’t going there. Hobbies are good too. Keep yourself occupied. As someone else has said, go to where you’d take a lady for a date. You’re bound to strike up a convo with someone. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/12/23 12:33 PM
Making rational decision about dating after divorce is fucked upMan, I did all of em. I’m not traditionally handsome. The most responses I got was Facebook dating. It became very overwhelming trying to coordinate. I work nights and weekends. A lot of things are stacked against me. I’ll focus on other stuff for now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/08/23 02:37 PM
Making rational decision about dating after divorce is fucked upMy question is, you have kids and not paying child support, I can only assume it’s almost a 50/50 situation. How in the hell did you get a large body count? Teach me your ways. I can’t find time to enjoy my own interests let alone hookups/dates. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/08/23 10:16 AM
Men...There is Life After DeathI don’t doubt it for a second, and I’m very happy for you. I’ll just throw my 2 cents in and say living solo is very rewarding as well. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/04/23 10:08 PM
Men...There is Life After DeathCareful with the first post relationship after a divorce. Rose colored glasses my guy and all that. Someone that has “suffered” so much like you said, might have some underlying issues she has not dealt with fully. Enjoy yourself and her company, but please be careful with your heart. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/04/23 10:03 PM
And the picture is finally complete lol .Same script for me as well, 12 years down the tube. Another “person”. Go through the steps of healing and move on, that’s all you can do. And don’t ever get married again. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/04/23 12:12 AM
How do you cope?Get some hobbies. Gym, learn a new language, learn to play an instrument, meal plan, draw and listen to music/podcast, call friends/family/therapist. Plan activities for the next time your with them. Hobbies man, keep yourself occupied. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/22 04:40 PM
New Information.....Yes, I don’t recognize mine either. It’s a pod person. Keep your feelings and emotions out of any conversations. Your feelings do not matter to her anymore. That’s where therapy comes in. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/08/22 03:42 PM
New Information.....Seek therapy and lift weights. Eat right, get sleep, and spend time with your kids. Spend time with friends, don’t drink to excess and stay away from self medicating with drugs. It will get better. It will, I promise. I thought I was doing it right the second go around. I will be 40 next year, I will never get married again, maybe live together or date, but never married. There is nothing in it for us. I’m just glad to be able to leave this marriage and have a son, and have my 401k. Take care of… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/08/22 03:39 PM
New Information.....After being down this road twice, it is rare that a woman just wants to be alone. There is most always someone else. It’s not you. I checked every box as a supportive partner, provider, and lover. None of that was good enough. Time to move on. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/08/22 12:35 PM
For the first time I’m in my life I feel insecureFuuuck…just dropped my kid off at school, still living with my future ex. Just signed a lease for an apartment and started packing last night. Have been feeling sorry for myself all morning. Thank you for this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/06/22 12:33 PM
Anyone else find it hard to be around their married friends?Seeing married couples and couples in general is triggering for me. I’m rushing into finding a girlfriend and I’m not even moved out or divorced yet. I’m so stupid. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/06/22 05:26 AM
Where to live?I’m getting a 1 br apartment for $750/month. Has a gym with cardio, free weights, smith machine, and has a pool for the kid. I work nights, so kid can sleep in my bed 2-3 nights a week. It’ll be cheaper than my mortgage was, so In the next 3-5 years, I’ll buy a house in a more rural area. Like others said, it depends on your finances. I’m too old for a roommate, but it did cross my mind, briefly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/05/22 11:50 PM
She told me she doesn't love meI’m leaving in October. I know it’s over, she has to go back to work full time next month. I’m already on the apps getting messages, lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/05/22 07:36 AM
She told me she doesn't love meI’m not showing emotion or getting angry. Hitting the gym and eating right. I’ve lost 20 lbs while she’s not doing anything different. She’s a great mom, but I’m a better person than her, at least that’s what I’m telling myself so I can move on. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/05/22 05:28 PM
She told me she doesn't love meCurrently there man. We have a 10 year old son. We’ve been together over 11 years, married for 7 next month! During a counseling session she said she was never “in love with me”. But cares for me, loves me, I’ve been a perfect partner, etc. We got pregnant a few months into dating, so she said she never got the chance to fall in love. Still living with her and the kid till the fall time. She still acts like everything is the same besides the affection and intimacy. She was grazing off my Qdoba b… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/05/22 05:26 PM
Pain, sadness = weightsHell yeah to your health. 2 months ago wife said she wants a divorce. I had been meaning to finally use that gym membership and get back into running. Wouldn’t ya know, in 2 months I’ve dropped 19 lbs of fat and started to really enjoy weight lifting. Also eating right and not boozing (much) I feel fantastic most days | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/05/22 02:39 PM
I’m just can’t anymore.Hey bud, I understand completely. I’ve been down this road recently, till I held a picture of my son. He is 10, he is my world. Hit the gym, get a therapist. It will help immensely. There is nothing quite like pouring sweat out of your body, and seeing results. Then pouring your heart out to a licensed professional about your psyche. Eating right helps as well. Show your son, even in the most trying times, that you are indeed Superman. That no matter what life throws at you, you are there for hi… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/05/22 09:36 PM
