As I get older I'm starting to enjoy rural areas even more than population centers. Gives me a sense of peace similar to what you described. And I agree getting away from people gets you closer to the creator although the right people can be a gift as well. If you like longer adventures drive west from North Texas into the desert of west texas/new mexico. Beautiful country.

This is so true. Once we removed the social norms that discouraged impulsive behavior the society started to decline. It gets worse with every generation if left unchecked. And now instead of trying to stop the bleeding we are doubling down on pathological behaviors. It's bad and going to get worse black pill is largely correct.
