It’s not that height doesn’t matter it’s that height is just one of many different immutable genetic characteristics that affect how attractive a man is. Having a full head of hair, naturally great teeth, good muscle genetics, striking eyes, symmetrical facial features are other examples.

I’m 6’3 and I always over estimate other peoples heights because I subconsciously assume my eyes are 6’3” off the ground and, if I can’t see the top of someone’s head, I think of them as taller than me even if they’re an inch shorter. I’ve also never had a woman compliment me on my height—obviously many women find height attractive but just being tall is not going to turn you into some Adonis. The average height is 5’9 and IMO being 6 inches shorter than average hurts way more than being 6 inche…

I’m not saying women don’t factor height in at all, just that you can’t extrapolate very much from this chart.

You can’t extrapolate the data because the issue here is that, among those who think height is so important that all people below a certain height should be automatically be filtered out of the pool of eligible dates, being over six feet is obviously disproportionately important.

Yeah if this is true you know then you literally know the only ones for whom it is. I highly highly doubt it though. Maybe these people come from a lot of money and that’s the money your seeing or maybe you’re just bullshitting here. If there was a gorgeous 28 year old woman who was a senior executive at a Fortune 500 getting paid 3 million a year then it would almost certainly be national news, she’d be profiled in the Wall Street Journal, and, if what you’re saying about her path to the top is…

You know multiple 28 year olds making 3 million annually? The average age of a student at Harvard Business School is something like 28, I highly doubt that, absent winning the lottery with a start-up or IPO, it’s possible to get internally promoted up to that kind of compensation level by 28. Even if you graduated college at 21 and went straight to a place like McKinsey and absolutely crushed it there you’re still not getting paid even close to that much at a big public company by the age of 28.

That’s not the point here, the point is that even though you might never be able to go out with someone who’ll stop traffic with their looks you are not forever doomed to be alone just because you’re short, overweight, etc

Yeah it seems like people don’t understand that relationships don’t always fail because one person does something shitty or unattractive, in fact relationships usually fail simply because two people are not that compatible with one another. There are still hard feelings to be sure but breaking up with someone doesn’t always mean that they’re a bad person.

Well in this age of online dating I don’t think it’s super common for women to set up their male friends (or vice versa) in the first place, so I’m just saying that, when it does happen, it’s often because the woman cares about their male friend and is doing something for them.

I mean it’s also very possible that a woman might set her male friend up with someone she knows because she thinks he’s a really great guy and wants to see him happy, and if the relationship doesn’t go well then she’ll still support him because that’s what friends do.

You people think this and still wonder why women don’t want to spend time with you!

If you don’t think dating is about finding love then what are you even doing with yourself

In the real world, it is how things play out. Trying to date is not the same as trying to get laid. You have to treat people as people, not as objectives.

Or you could not think of dating as an attempt to seduce a woman and instead think of it as a search for a person to love or even just as a search for people you find attractive and fun to be around that you could see yourself maybe falling in love with in the future.

I’ve said it here before but I’ll say it again: I bet that there are very very few red-pilled men who grew up with supportive and loving sisters, particularly older sisters.

Yeah because of the crackdown in sports I think many people don’t realize how promeinent steroids still are among people who want to look ripped. Vox ran an article a few months ago about how steroids and other PEDs are insanely common in Hollywood to the point that some actors feel that they’re at a disadvantage if they’re not juicing.

This is very true. I think it just comes down to the particular way that men can become socially isolated. If you have a healthy and fulfilling social life then it is extremely unlikely that you have red-pill beliefs because, in your social life, you’re getting at least some of social validation and recognition that is missing in the lives of so many red-pillers. Obviously, women can and do get socially isolated, and there are plenty of issues that this causes as well, but, since this post is ab…

This is because the male beauty does not exactly correspond to how traditionally masculine one is. Sometimes it does, like with Jason Momoa, but not always.

I don’t know, I feel like part of his appeal is how his features are sort of delicately sculpted.

I feel like it’s both. Timothee Chalamet and Jason Momoa are both considered to be extremely attractive, for example.

I think that there is a floor but unless you are severely deformed or disabled then you can, with hard work, bring yourself above that floor by getting in shape, dressing well, having good teeth, having a good haircut/classy bald head, etc. The “problem” is that you might never get to the point where an actually hot person is going to be physically attracted to you, you might never even get to the point where online dating is a viable way for you to meet people (especially true for short kings),…

No one is saying that looks aren’t important but, when you’re deciding who you want to have a relationship with, looks are only one factor. You actually have to enjoy spending time with someone, and, believe it or not, being a really cool person is an extremely attractive quality. Like, for me (and, I think, most people), if I enjoy someone’s company and have great chemistry with them, they literally become more physically attractive to me. Conversely, I’ve gone on dates with girls that I was in…

I think what happens is that on Reddit people’s hidden insecurities are inflated, so while the average guy is not completely unable to ever get a date, he does have a little bit of concern about, say, the gender imbalance on dating apps (if he uses them). While the average guy probably has a decent enough social life, they probably do feel a bit insecure about the emotional quality of their friendships. Reddit just inflates everything.
