You make a fair point, but it's not that I don't respect the history degree. I have the utmost respect for the study of history. 37	Professional privilege checker Lots of people with those degree plans on going to grad school after finishing them. I don't really get the hatred all around reddit for an English or History degree as long as you have some kind of plan. I'm not in the IT industry so I have no idea where any of these people hail from, but if they are in the United States it's quite possible they are considered "at-will" employees.
