He is very controlling. Working out three times a day isn’t a symptom of optimum physical health but more potentially a sign of body dysmorphia or even an eating disorder. Quite honestly, the best thing that could happen to this woman is to be divorced from this man. As a beautiful, fit 34 year old she doesn’t need to be with an abusive man pushing 50 who is attacking her self esteem precisely so she’ll think she has no options.

I find this with misogynist men who complain about women being over emotional, unreasonable and promiscuous and then date women with a BPD (borderline personality disorder) diagnosis who can often display these very traits. Show them the kind of woman they say they want - calm, sensible etc - and they just aren’t interested.

I live in a country where paying for a round of drinks is common. Quite often you’ll pay for the drinks of somebody you either don’t know well or at all or actively dislike. A round can be quite expensive - at least as much as a restaurant meal. So if a man is happy to buy drinks for Nigel from Accounts who he thinks is a tool and that bloke in a red tie who seems to be part of the group but he hasn’t the foggiest who he is, but grouses at the idea of paying for a woman who may eventually become…

Take comfort in knowing what he wants and what he can get are two different things. He’s too old for a 40 year old woman and they’re not queuing up to date him either!

My experience is that in these situations marriage is used basically to help a failing relationship and divorce comes not too long afterwards. For a celebrity example think of Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet. Living together for years, get married and a few years later are now divorcing.

Every 30+ woman I know who has waited until then to get married or start a family has done that deliberately. We’re alive until we’re over 80. Marrying somebody in your twenties is not rational and just contributes to high divorce rates. Most people these days want no more than two children so having your first kid at thirty or later is not a problem. No twenty something man is ready to get married and start a family and unless JP is advocating for young women to be second wives to divorced dads…

Fancy not thinking the ‘resentment’ and ‘contempt’ might be the real reason. There’s actually nothing wrong with him physically. I can’t get over the fact that men like him would rather risk death under the knife rather than try to improve their personality or attitude.

‘I’m also notoriously bad at chatting to chicks on OLD’ = ‘I haven’t yet worked out that “hey”, “dtf” and giving monosyllabic answers without giving any information for the other person to build a conversation on while also not asking any question other than “how r u?” is not how you get convos that lead anywhere on OLD’ If men can chat to other men, to neighbours, to work colleagues, to strangers on public transport then they have sufficient social skills to chat to women online. You could write to the Embassy of your country in China about this. She’s using your pictures without consent (unlawful in many places) to essentially scam men (fraud - a crime pretty much anywhere).

I agree. I think you have to be very careful about being too explicit about the conditions under which you’ll have sex because then you’ve just given him the right words to say. I feel really sorry for this woman. She wasn’t playing games, was honest, and he was just playing her the whole time.

One answer is ‘one would I be against more equality and rights for myself?’ But one definition of feminism is ‘the radical notion that women are people too’ and of course I believe I’m a person! And any man who wants to be with me should also be comfortable with my personhood.

He does not sound like a good person to try to build a family with. Also, 23 is a bit young to start tying yourself down this way - spend time looking for better and more compatible men. There is no rush. You said you’ve got dreams to pursue - go out and get them.

Does he realise that most of those are elderly women as a result of having a slightly longer life expectancy than men? If 80% of all women found 80% of all men unattractive nobody would be getting married/getting into long term relationships or having families. And people are doing both those things. I don’t think there’s a single person here who doesn’t have examples they’ve seen in their own lives of women with sometimes very unattractive men (who aren’t rich).

No 34 year old has genuinely enough in common with a 24 year old for a mutual, respectful relationship. People can get on well with people of all kinds of ages but you’ll pretty much never see people pick their close friends from outside their age group - why is that? Because for a close friendship you need commonality, respect and shared interests. So if a man wouldn’t have a 24 year old man as his best friend then why does he want someone so much younger as a girlfriend? Not for a relationship…

This sounds good. My only reservation would be I live in a country where you don’t date several people simultaneously. Once you start dating someone beyond a first date then the expectation is that there is no one else in the picture unless you have specifically negotiated otherwise (and you probably would have the non monogamy or whatever stated in your profile beforehand), and which would send out a big signal that this is basically a situationship - possibly one of several - and you would def…

Because men can walk away from any of the problems they cause. Why do men sleep with prostitutes without a condom - the risk of STIs is high. Men will also sleep pay for unprotected sex in parts of the world where a majority of the women selling sex are HIV positive (before coming home to have unprotected sex with their wives). Men can choose not to pay child support and the vast majority can get away with it.

‘Return to a non pregnant form’. Biology is not his strong suit, is it? Pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding make your body go through dramatic changes some of which are irreversible. If you want a woman with a pre pregnancy body, don’t get a woman pregnant. If you’re not willing to live by scientific laws but by some weird pornified fantasy, leave flesh and blood women alone.

I think once you start dating men 35+ a divorced man may be a better bet than a never married man of that age. Once a man is unmarried by the time he is around 40 then it may be because he enjoys playing the field, is totally unsuited for marriage or has other issues.

Any man in an age gap relationship will complain that she goes not get his pop culture references, is always on her phone, takes selfies, wants to party to the early hours, has no conversation etc etc but the penny doesn’t seem to drop that maybe there’s a compatibility issue here and that maybe looking for a compatible partner is the key to being happy in relationships.

IQ is essentially inherited (with some variability) so women can’t choose not to have high IQs. They maybe might not have a good education or got a good career despite their high intelligence (IQ =/= success, riches and reward) but that doesn’t debase their innate intelligence. So exactly how are insecure men going to prevent intelligent girls and women from existing?

How does it work numbers wise? If all men are supposed to get experience and take up with mistresses, girlfriends and prostitutes that means there must be a large pool of women available for those roles. If a man’s ‘job’ is to get experience, then the corollary is that there is a woman willing to give it to him. Numerically then the number of virgins available for marriage is far less than the number of men looking for a wife and mother of their children.

Take his hard drive to the police and see a divorce lawyer. The legal definition of a child is anybody under the age of 18. The age of consent being lower than this does not negate this fact. In practice it means 16 and 17 year old girls being abused are poorly served by police and social services but the legal foundation to act against their abuse does exist.

This is 100% correct. The first rule of office relationships is that everybody will know about them and be talking about them. Second rule is that it’ll be the woman who gets criticised and whose reputation at work suffers. I’ve steered clear of workplace intrigues for these reasons but this is still not sufficient to prevent you being the target of rumours and gossip for literally saying ‘good morning’ to somebody you work with.

The 40+ MRAs are prepared to marry the 18-24 year olds and baby trap them. However, if all younger women go off with older men (a common thing pushed by MRAs) then there is nobody for the under 40s to date. Except minors. A rant very justified. Female autistics have expectations put on them that male autistics don’t. They’re still expected to be nice, polite and endure sensory overload without complaint. Totally agree. There are many traditionally hot women who get treated like trash and many quite ordinary ones who are treated with the respect and love they deserve. I agree American Christianity is weird. I’ve just been watching Dirty John and a woman married five times is apparently a committed Christian and a woman victim blaming her own daughter for her murder by an abusive husband and getting him off with only two years in prison is ‘Christian forgiveness’. Forgiveness is not enabling evil or allowing yourself to be manipulated by your daughter’s murderer and consumed by your own internalised misogyny.

Wholesome? The reason why he didn’t seek out unpaid companionship was because he wanted somebody under his control who had to do things and listen to his stories with no expectation of reciprocity. Human companionship is all about reciprocity: it’s not one way. She was basically an emotional support animal to that old man. Not a person. Yup. I just find it bizarre that a literal tech company whose business is the internet didn’t do something as a google search on a potential employee. I live in the UK too in a ground floor flat. I have decent but standard locks but most of all I just keep what goes on inside as big a mystery as possible: you can’t look into my windows, I have blackout curtains, I leave the light and TV on if I go out. This sounds terrible but sometimes the best strategy, especially living in a block of flats, is to be just a little bit more inconvenient and difficult to break into than your neighbours rather than turning your home into Fort Knox.

I used to work in the field of child sexual abuse. She’s in cloud cuckoo land. We have no way of rehabilitating serial sex offenders. Existing programmes have been shown to make them worse. She can keep her definition of feminism. Mine is about preventing harm to women. If men suffer because of their conscious decisions to rape children and women then that’s on them. Chances are there are plenty of rapes that they weren’t actually convicted of so are serving much lighter sentences than if their …

Choking is assault. When women start mass reporting these violent men to police, they might start to take notice. If all we do is cry to each other and swap stories about how nearly every man tries to strangle us then nothing will happen. I don’t think police will do much but for a lot of men simply being reported to the police for assault might be the wake up call they need.

Every financially stable educated man I’ve known has wanted something similar in a woman. Doctors marry doctors. University lecturers often marry other university lecturers. The only men who are telling women not to better themselves are sofa surfing school drop outs who don’t want to make the effort of bringing themselves up but will instead spend hours every day on the internet trying to bring women down. The first one doesn’t even make sense. He’s saying men won’t wait around for casual sex. Well, good because if a woman is looking for a relationship she doesn’t want somebody just in it for casual sex so waiting until the right time helps filter out the ones she doesn’t want. But this just sounds like nonsense to make women feel insecure and think they need to give it up to hook a man. The only thing you’ll hook is a user who is such scum he will lie 24/7 to keep the sex coming.

WTH? You can bet these are the kind of men horrified if a woman has a sexual past. Being exclusive is a pretty standard (and low) bar for sexual activity. I also hate the projection inherent in the cries of ‘you’ll die alone’. No, you’re scared you will, that’s why you’re so invested in eroding women’s boundaries. If your personality is so off-putting you can’t imagine making it to a third/fourth/whatever date with a woman when sex might be on the table, then that’s not women being unfair to you…

I once worked with a woman who went out with a convicted rapist. He’s so dangerous the police warned her about him. She was essentially a middle class girl trying to annoy her parents. Before him she dated gang members. Fancy ruining your own life just to own your parents. Dye your hair pink when you’re sixteen, listen to loud music and then get over the angsty teen phase. Don’t continue it into your twenties. Julie Bindel wrote an interesting article about the phenomenon. She noted that there o…

I’ve been a fan of his music a long time but from interviews etc it was evident that he was somewhat of a misogynist. You can’t create an entire system designed for and by men then call women squeezing in here and there ‘equality’. They’re still conforming to standards established for men. Divorced men are like this: they don’t seem to realise that their children need a home with its rent paid, warmth and electricity, a clean home, food, lighting and moan that child support should be spent purely on kids’ clothes and shoes as if kids don’t require an entire infrastructure for them to function and for some dads this is invisible because they’d never think the time and materials to clean a toilet their kids are using is an essential part of looking after children.

This is awful. I have a male GP. He is an excellent doctor and knows many things I do not. He has also repeatedly shown that he is in my corner doing his best for me. But I still do not trust him more than I do myself. I still have a responsibility to myself to apply critical thinking. No matter how good other people are to you, at the end of the day the person you are most valuable to is yourself and you can’t rely on other people to have your back particularly if there is a cost to themselves …

If somebody is only doing nice things because he thinks that sex is a reward, that’s not a man doing nice things: it’s a man being manipulative. When I do nice things for people, I don’t expect anything back. Obviously if in a friendship or relationship one of you is always doing more than the other, that’s not okay. Things should overall balance out but it should never be like haggling with a market trader all the time.

Honestly the advice you get on this site is sometimes downright dangerous. The other day a woman found out her ex had moved into the house opposite her. She filed for divorce after a miscarriage and all the comments were calling her a b**** for not realising her husband was grieving too. Literally no one could see that an ex moving so close is sketchy af and sounds like the start of a series of events that lead to a murdered woman. Some people need to read up on stalking and femicide.

This is a terrible time to get into a relationship. Too many men are claiming they’re doing what they ‘need to’ to still be getting regular sex during lockdown and if that means lying to a woman, so be it. And the sexual Overton window has shifted. Time was (and not even that long ago) when men wouldn’t expect blowjobs because it’s not something most women would do (or the women they were prepared to make their wives would do). It’s why it’s so important to be sure of a man before you get pregnant with his child. There is a degree of inheritability to personality so having an abuser’s child or a nogoodnik’s child is just creating a problem for the next generation of girls and women. Be sure your man isn’t an abuser before you have kids. Even if that means five, ten years after meeting him.

My grandfather had his chores too. They were different from my grandmother’s but he still had them. It seems men now want women not to just do the things they traditionally have (cooking, cleaning) but be cool with men giving up on their traditional jobs around the house: mowing the lawn, taking out the rubbish, fixing the car and just sit around instead. I mean even 1950s husbands with housewives didn’t expect their wives to do ‘masculine’ chores around the home.

That dude has too much time on his hands: I got one too. Even prettyscale.com agrees that I’m hot!

You just know it’s sue when you read that it’s a guy over thirty with not one but two women ten years his junior.

So true. In cultures where it’s customary for the eldest son to live at home with his wife, the daughter in law’s life is very often made a misery by her mother in law who was once in that unhappy position herself. Ditto FGM. But the general principle of ‘life sucked for me so why should anybody else have it better’ is so prevalent. It’s doing the rounds now with regards to the US considering writing off student loans. Even somebody who sells himself as a sceptic and arch logic person like the a…

Maybe what’s ‘overused’ is people staying in crappy relationships with people who don’t value them. I want all of them to watch Daniel Sloss’s Jigsaw. He speaks facts.

Not linking because not sure if it would count as doxxing but there is an article on this guy being arrested on ‘child pornography’ charges (later dropped). So not a good guy.

Choosing to be alone is a positive choice especially if the alternative is an ignorant, lazy slob who treats you badly. Why would any woman trade in all the benefits of living life on her terms for anybody other than one who makes the sacrifice worthwhile?

I’ve seen it too. A Muslim girl I went to university with would faint if she didn’t eat during menstruation so menstruating in the fasting month of Ramadan was a big problem. It was permissible under Islam’s rules for her not to fast while on her period in order to stop her fainting. However she did not do this because then Muslim boys in her class would quiz her about it and she did not want to talk to them about her periods. What makes them think they have the right to police women like that?

Absolutely. His set on how you shouldn’t stay in a relationship that doesn’t have a positive affect on your life is so on point.

Why is it such an alien concept for men to be truthful? Just say what you’re looking for and a woman is either up for it or not. Everybody is happy because everybody has signed up for it.

Many jobs like police work are basically predicated that people (men) are available for long hours uninterrupted because there is a wife back home who at most works part time and will deal with the house and children allowing her husband to do overtime and shifts. There’s a reason why policemen have particularly high divorce rates and the entire job is predicated on outdated assumptions that everybody is backed up by a supportive housewife.

I honestly believe nobody (particularly women) should get married before the age of 25 and always look at more than a five year age gap very critically.

Women think that advancing their career advances their career. That’s it. Men are not part of the thought process. It gives them money to pay their bills and maybe enough to treat themselves to cars and holidays, hopefully an interesting way to spend their days, a sense of achievement, an opportunity to use existing skills develop new ones, and an opportunity to mix with people they like.

What woman is going to find a self pitying whine like that attractive?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/12/20 06:07 PM

I think short, ugly, broke women deserve better than that kind of dude. Being realistic is how people get dates. There’s research out there that says many successful couples are similar in levels of attractiveness.

Yep. Men say they like clever women until they meet one who’s cleverer than they are then it’s ‘you make me feel stupid’. No, your internal insecurity is making you feel stupid.

Whereas men have unjustified levels of confidence. Lord knows I’ve been managed by enough of them who only got where they were by being certain of their ability in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

The irony of it is that men who think like this are among the biggest dumdums around. They just hope a younger woman won’t be as likely to notice.

And obsess over porn actresses with bad fillers and obviously fake boobs. They don’t actually have a clue what is ‘natural’.

Do men really believe that women have green eyelids and blue eyelashes naturally and it’s a huge shock when it’s washed off?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/11/20 01:28 AM

Honestly I feel nearly all the posts from women about crappy relationships need the advice ‘just dump him’. Don’t waste the time trying to make it work with somebody who clearly doesn’t care.

There are so many stories of elderly women who were quite happy to be widowed and enjoyed their life so much more after their husbands had died.

In all areas of the sex trade, it’s men making the money while women work hard and damage themselves physically and mentally and are unable to continue past their mid twenties.

Why that misogynist sub escaped the hate sub clearout I don’t know. So basically he wants to know why feminism doesn’t centre around his feelings and why women have the sheer nerve to bring up the horrible things that men do to them.

Even better are men who want open relationships but his girlfriend can only have relationships with other women. Right, because women’s relationships with each other are far inferior to your mighty penis and will never be a threat.

Sometimes I wonder if they make obnoxious profiles on purpose because they know the only women who will bite will have massive issues and are ripe to be controlled and abused.

Nah. The guy’s thinking of a dog. Rescue a dog, he’ll love you forever. Rescue a man he’ll dump you. This is why so many men hate their partners losing substantial amounts of weight: they think she’ll do to them what they would if they upgraded themselves.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/11/20 08:26 PM

It reminds me of the joke/saying that goes ‘homophobia is straight men scared that gay men will treat them the way that straight men do women’.

Can anybody name me a man who looks better at 50 than he did at 30? Also at twenty most women are still growing into their looks. But it is around the age they look increasingly less like a child who could pass for 16 or younger which is what these creepy old dudes really mean: ‘I want somebody who still looks like a child but won’t actually put me in prison’.

Mandy Smith and Bill Wyman. She was fourteen and basically pimped out by her own mother. Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis. But I reckon you could throw a rock at any group of musicians and hit somebody who sneaked off to the tour bus for some quiet time with a girl under 18.

An adult man who wolfwhistles or says inappropriate things to a girl in a school uniform is not complimenting you: he’s showing you he’s a predator with a sexual interest in children. I’d be surprised if there’s any musicians who go with groupies who haven’t been with girls still at school (ie children). R Kelly is an extreme example but handing out backstage passes to underage girls is widespread.

Traditional in wanting all the womanly stuff but can he skin and gut a rabbit, fix a car, repair the washing machine and earn enough money so you can fulfil your traditional housewife role? If they want trad wives then they better up their husband skills.

If that nonsense about 80/20 was true then very few men would be partnered or the fathers of children. In reality, the majority of adult men and women are parents to at least one child. Poor men clearly do get sex and reproduce because poor women have boyfriends and children. Men in prison, often from the most deprived parts of society, have wives and children. Even homeless people pair up. The truth is that women aren’t anywhere near as picky as they should be.

Older men are predatory. No thirty year old wants an eighteen year old except to exploit and take advantage of and steal her youth wasting her time on his older self.

Except when they want anal sex and the woman expresses concern that being stretched out may lead to adverse outcomes then it’s like ‘the sphincter is a muscle, baby. It just bounces straight back’.

Honestly all those red flags still represent an astonishingly low bar for men. They amount to basic decency as a human being.

Quite a few of them appear to be MRAs/PUAs talking a big game about gold digging women while living off the women in their lives. Paul Elam is one example.

I have noticed that autistic men (or at least ones who claim to be autistic; I think many are self diagnosing, often incorrectly) are over represented in MRA and incel forums. They’re ‘so rational and logical’ but they’ll lap up any misogynistic trope thrown their way. I think it’s a major problem.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/11/20 01:48 AM

I’ve noticed that misogynists and domestic abusers like women with BPD (although like isn’t perhaps the correct word). So I don’t think she’s way off.

Eleven years engaged and he has no idea that growing a baby inside you and having your abdomen stretched will change a woman’s body? That woman needs to cut her losses and run.

Autistic women are still socialised as female and told to put other people’s feelings first and to always act in a way that others approve of. Autism isn’t a get out of jail free card for women.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/11/20 10:52 PM

I’ve often heard autistic women tell each other to avoid mixed sex autistic support groups because the men there treat them as some sort of pick up joint and act really inappropriately towards the women.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/11/20 10:51 PM

Autistic women don’t do it so I’m afraid it’s not an excuse. Women should not have to tolerate inappropriate touching no matter the excuse.

We women really need to get better at not having kids with loser men. Why are we preserving their genetic inheritance at a cost to our physical health and sanity? If we keep letting LVM reproduce then future generations of women and girls are going to keep having to deal with them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/11/20 05:20 PM

Rapists have way more reason to lie about rape than women do but that never seems to occur to them. I mean it can get you a life stretch which is a big incentive to lie about committing a rape.

Is this their attempt at negging? It’s so much easier for a man to lose weight and be muscular than for a woman (who would have to try ridiculously hard to be musclebound). Perhaps if they had a better idea of fitness and biology they wouldn’t be coming out with rubbish like ‘if you lift weights you’ll look like a man’. How many weights would a woman need to lift to look like them, one wonders. And really what kind of loser wastes his time messaging women to tell them he finds them unattractive …

Losers are always more bitter towards women who they generally don’t think deserve to be successful than to actually put in any work to help themselves. The nastiest comments about fat women come from even fatter men. The ones most paranoid about women taking all their money have to borrow money from their mother to pay the rent.
