Are you on crutches or in a wheelchair? I've definitely frequented clubs on crutches. Not calling you a catfish, but maybe there's a mismatch between your dating profile and reality? This is why meeting people organically is always better, you get what you see.

Online dating apps in general. As long as you use some common sense and keep your wits about you, there's no worry. If a girl is coming straight from an app to your place, that's when you got to be on high alert. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Good read. I was deciding on Buenos Aires or Medellin for my first trip to LATAM (I'm British), but you've given me more options. Don't take this in a condescending way, but you're 18. You've got your whole life ahead of you, and your attitude to relationships and girls will change significantly in the next few years, until they settle down. There's people who marry at 20 and others who still live the bachelor life at 35 -- you'll figure it out.
