So it's become just like real life then. Girls can pick up almost on demand, but the guys are throwing out everything in all directions, hoping to hit something.

Very good post. I've not been reading this sub for a few months because the level of angry posts like "women do x" and general focus on what is wrong with women seems completely at odds with the entire point of the "movement", if that is the right word. It was starting to make me feel worse than better to read what was going on. I suppose there's not as much furious schadenfreude in posting about the excellent bike ride you went on because you get to decide where and when you take your vacations…

I really like how this film makes out like it's going to have some sort of cop out "About A Boy"-style ending where he fits back into regular society with the lady and kids and whatnot, but then boom - she was a massive liar, cheating on her husband and he's just like "well, fuck.. Excuse me while I kiss the sky."

Absolutely. I've said it before: this is not a cult. To be honest, even having a centralising hub like this is probably counterintuitive to "going your own way" cuz people seem to want to know exactly to how to go their own way like its some sort of Buzzfeed listicle.

The modern dating environment is the romantic equivalent of joylessly eating fast food or three-minute noodles every night instead of taking the time to learn how to cook a complex meal properly. The idea of putting effort into something that might not be perfect first-try, getting to know how something works inside out, and then perfecting it with patience is entirely lost on a generation of people raised to have zero job security, and relentless "options" at their fingertips for every facet of…

Definitely been put off this sub recently by the level of off-topic anger and bizarre comments. I get that there is a "rage" period for people going through whatever finally pushed them to the idea of "walking off the job" so to speak, but it's been pretty tiring to read.

That's why I find so amusing/ironic about that "alpha" thing. Acting like they're in charge etc, but in reality it's about working out, getting primped, learning how to behave to "get" women (which is still altering your behaviour to suit them) - Generally being this trophy bait to attract women - who is the one in charge? The one sitting back taking their pick, or the ones jumping through hoops to compete against each other? Like you said, I'd rather go do something else.

Wife left me after cheating on me and lying about it when I confronted her. I uprooted my life for that woman and while I wasn't perfect, I was willing to accept my shortcomings and work on making things better. She on the other hand changed personalities, got really into her "career" and needing more money, decided that she wanted to fuck around and that I wasn't going to be enough of a provider or that I wouldn't make a good parent (hypothetically), and generally threw every mean excuse and at…

I dunno, if your partner is an abusive piece of shit but is fine with that then you're going to be the one issuing for divorce, but being outraged at a fair split of custody seems like a ridiculous thing to complain about. It's not all about YOU, it's about the kids you selfish cunt.

I actually find heels a turn-off. It's such an impractical choice of footwear for any occasion I can't help thinking the person wearing them much be a bit of an idiot.

This might sound selfish but around the same time my wife left me I found out that a guy I know who was a successful, six foot four super-ripped (but not bodybuilder) stud was left by his wife also. I don't know why but it make me feel less like it was something that couldn't happen to certain kinds of people.

I can't think of any girl or woman I know, regardless of personality who would think this is anything less than creepy/gross. Does this weak shit ever work?

I find it sort of entertaining to watch my friends scramble around on Tinder or wherever trying to get laid, or hear about how they had to block this or that girl's number who "turned out" to be a bit unstable etc (what are the chances?)

"I just found out about it today" - best bit. If it's fake, it's clever, and if it's real: we're all fucked. The whole planet.

Was going to make the same comment. This is like the reverse "dick pic".. Urgh. Since when do you have to find every single person equally beautiful and attractive? If everything is beautiful, nothing is.

TL;DR: "I am very happy" - that's awesome. Sounds like you're right where you want to be.

This. Everyone is equally off the dating radar, which makes it a lot easier to treat people the same, since I'm not trying to impress any of them. Life's too short to go around angry at total strangers.

White knighting is patronizing and often motivated purely by the end goal of feeling a woman "owes" you sex or affection for you being nice. I don't want to get married ever again or date but I'm not slamming the door in anyone's face or going to be an asshole because it's just rude.

This. Largest problem with modern society is that we've made it far too easy to only interact with people you already agree with. No more hearing the other guy's point of view and making your own conclusions (Change the channel, or pick a website you agree with), no more overhearing some jackass on the bus and engaging them (headphones on), see something you don't like in a movie or on TV, cry "trigger warning".

Only a problem if you use abusive language or get angry. Remaining calm while making your point is probably more annoying to these sorts of people anyway. They expect hysterics returned in kind. Arguing is as much about rattling your opponent as it is making a good point yourself.

"I want you to be manly" tries to fix problem like men tend to do "no, I want you to just listen". PICK A LANE, LADY.

Frankly, if you have to tell everyone you're an "Alpha", then you're probably not. I know a few people IRL with that sort of pissing contest mentality and they generally have the air of people who were bullied in school and have a huge chip on their shoulder about "proving" how they're successful now. TRP and PUA "culture" seems pretty tragic to me. It's like a sort of internalised "beta" mentality. Convince yourself that you're some sort of badass by primping and cultivating yourself to be this…

Wow. Yeah, had that exact argument in the past. "You try to find a simple, logical solution to the obvious problem when I just want you to listen to me complain about it and do nothing to help."

Can't imagine she would be happy if you were shooting down some heartfelt life choice of hers. "Everyone should be free to live their life, as long as I approve of it."

Try going on a few dates. Amazing how sweet your "empty" life seems when you suddenly have someone texting you or trying to make arrangements to do stuff and spend money. I went straight from work to the shops, spend money on myself, got a good meal for dinner, then went home and watched movies and had a few beers. No wasted time deciding where to eat, what to buy, what to watch. I think that's the thing I've noticed, is that shit that takes forever when you're dealing with someone else is reall…

"Rule"? This isn't a cult, man. Do what you like. "Go YOUR own way" - if you want to be a sexless monk, have at it. If you think "why buy the cow when I can get the fap for free?" - more power to you.

Definitely would like to see more positive posts like this, so it's not all relentless horror stories and bad times. That's the start, but after the switch to MGHOW living, that's the bit I really want to hear about.. How things got better, and what everyone is doing with their time and freedom.

Not to mention setting the kid up for the wrong lessons on how to behave. I.e. Instead of being frank and honest about feelings (or lack thereof), you'd be setting the example of repressing all your frustrations and unhappiness and "putting on a good front" - which is super unhealthy. If things are that bad, then nothing could make it worse, but laying your cards on the table will make you happier (shit, she might feel the same), then you can be a happier, more relaxed parent and role model for …

Good on you. I booked my first solo holiday overseas and I can't wait to go. No arguing about what to do first, where to eat, who's tired or bored. Just me and MY demands. Bliss.

What a fucking horror. She's already won the relationship lottery (from her perspective), but I guess if she wants to finally stop pretending to not be a lazy, demanding pain in the ass then she needs to lock him down. Terrifying. Sometimes it's nice to know you're so unappealing to these sorts of crazies.

Sounds like my ex-wife to a t. I hate that Girls show so much. Terrible writing, awful characters - I thought it was a satire where you laugh at them, but no - it's for real. You want a window into what's wrong with a lot of people out there - watch that fucking show. God help us if young women are "inspired" by that pile of shit.

Hugely important issue. People who look for someone else to "complete" them, or the kind of people who mirror whatever partner at that time's personality and interests are doomed. Figure out who you are and what makes you content. Maybe there's no room for someone else after that. So be it.

Ultra hypocrisy statement, with zero insight on their own absurdity. "Sexism is a scourge on society, except when I use it."
