One of my friends has to pay alimony to his ex indefinitely, and I think it's insane.Sorry, but you are wrong on that. Mass has approximately 4 different types. Don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but it is true. | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 08:19 PM
GoodMorning men of Reddit, I hope everyone’s day is going wellYes. I am part of the "man up" generation. Check your post. I don't see anything about "mens mental health" or even those words in it except in the last sentence. You ramble about being abused, complaining to HR then being "forced" to resign. While you know more about the situation than I do, it is hard trying to follow your logic. Again, I don't see the point of it. You are looking to random strangers for help and comfort or insight into your situation which they have no idea about? What action… | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 08:14 PM
11 years of Family courts.Ok....tough love here. I hear what you going through....get out of your funk and just concentrate for a second.... 1) Why are you expecting an attorney to take your case without a substantial retainer? You pay the grocer for milk. When you take your car to the garage, do you say you want an oil change for free? No. You don't. The lawyers are making about 400 an hour. One day of work for them is around 3500 bucks. If they draft any paper (1 day) and represent you in court (1 day), that is 7k. The… | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 06:31 AM
Dad's Just Drive & DropoffSimple solution....don't use that dentist. Actually tell THE DENTIST why you are leaving. Maybe he will hire the right people. If you find out that he thinks that way to, then why use his/her service? | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 06:09 AM
My Alimony finally ended today! - Alimony is such an unfair situation…AMAHer 40k imputed income is a joke. I had an uneducated wife from another country. We did a workforce assessment on her and 60k was the outcome. She claimed that she could never work again at 40 years old. I went to High School in Burlington County (upper part). My divorce was in Middlesex. You will never fully recover. Since I don't have to pay for the ex-wife, however, I feel that I have so much money I don't know what to do with it. I have to develop a substance abuse problem or something with … | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 06:04 AM
| -2 | GoodMorning men of Reddit, I hope everyone’s day is going wellI really don't understand your post..... 1) If you want the world to change because you don't like it the way it is....you can change your actions, but don't expect the world to agree. 2) People don't come to Reddit to start a movement. | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 05:43 AM |
A dad complained that the local court basically makes it impossible for him to represent himself, and one example is that the links on the local web site to obtain self representation forms do not work, and when he complains they tell him he must obtain an attorney.Just a piece of non-legal advice......the above is not going to work. Also, nobody should give you a lawyer for free. 1) Do you walk into a Garage and say I want a free oil change? (People will laugh at you). 2) Why expect someone who has spent 1/4 million dollars in education to make a living to get something for free? 3) It is a specialty, treat it as such. I am sure that you don't do all your own plumbing, electrical work, car work. Heck, you probably have the trash picked up. But you don't w… | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 05:38 AM

My Alimony finally ended today! - Alimony is such an unfair situation…AMAHope it is to a non-Hague country. Russia is ok....Ukraine does not work. Hard to find one that the US does not deal with. | /r/MensRights | 15/07/23 05:24 AM
Please, help me, anyone, my child has been taken away from me by his motherHi Sir, I am an attorney in the US (NJ, PA, TX, DC). I am not going to give you legal advice. I am going to give you some "tough love". I was married to a Ukrainian woman. After having a child together, things went down hill badly. 1) I am NOT going to be like the other people on here and try to be "supportive" and "cheer you up". I am going to give you the facts as I see them. 2) You are correct in your thoughts on your wife wanting to destroy you. In the courts where I am barred, Ukrainian wom… | /r/MensRights | 14/07/23 06:18 AM
My Alimony finally ended today! - Alimony is such an unfair situation…AMANot true. Alimony and child support are considered a debt. For lending purposes and for housing (renting an apartment), you are limited to 40 percent of your gross income. Many times, the alimony and child support gobble up the 40 percent of your gross income so even if you earn 300k or more, you are above the 40 percent level of deft with only the child support and alimony.. You can never buy a house (certainly) or get a car. So lets assume that you have to pay 5k per month alimony and 1k per m… | /r/MensRights | 14/07/23 05:33 AM

My Alimony finally ended today! - Alimony is such an unfair situation…AMACongrats on filing ending the alimony. I was in NJ as well. I had 14 years of marriage and got hit with 14 years of alimony at 6500 per month plus child support. During 2008, I lost my job and found another making 150k per year. I was told by the judge that I was under employed. My argument was that I was making more than the judge! He had double the amount of time as a lawyer than I did. I also made more than the governor of NJ. How was I "under employed"? I did get a small reduction for only 2… | /r/MensRights | 14/07/23 05:17 AM
