Don't let this guy over analyze what's working for you

I have been dating a gal for several months now so I'm not on Tinder/etc. but when I was I really didn't bother with numbers until actually meeting up with a girl. When I was first learning, yes, getting a number was a goal of mine, and I certainly remember the high I got the first few times a girl gave hers to me, but eventually you learn that if getting numbers is your goal then you'll get numbers without necessarily converting them to dates. Best is the girl volunteering her number to you. Th…

Can you please sticky your comment at the top of this thread? There is so much shitposting in here I can nearly smell it even after I step away from my PC. It's like the unsuccessful are sharks smelling blood in the water cause there's a self-proclaimed female virgin asking for advice and they are coming out of the fucking woodwork.

One thing I'll mention on this point is that most people determine pretty early on whether they are attracted to someone or not. That first impression is the best time to cultivate mutual attraction. It's a time of vulnerability and learning. You are both on the same page about learning about each other, and people expect the spark to either ignite right away or never ignite at all. There's a reason the "love at first sight" cliche exists. This doesn't mean you can't get something off the ground…

I don't give out downvotes casually but I'm downvoting your post because it is bad advice and needs to have as little visibility as possible. Please do not take that personally, but consider what I say. Men who think that any guy will basically have sex with any girl have too much of a porn mindset. Mind you I love women, I love sex, and I love porn. But just because every man has fantasies about many if not most of the women in his life doesn't mean he'd actually have sex with them. He might dr…

Same advice I'd give to a guy making a similar post: start by reading Models by Mark Manson. Some of it won't apply, or will apply differently, for you, but all the principles are the same. The next advice I'd give you is to take some of the material in the book, attempt to apply it, and then post back here making a field report, let us know what you did, what happened, what worked, what didn't, why you think things worked or didn't work, and what you think you might or might not try differently…

I can work on being better at sex, but the only way I'm going to improve is by having sex, and I'd sort of prefer to be in a relationship with someone I like before "practicing" as opposed to practicing with random guys. I lost my virginity to a gal I met on OKC. We had gone out a couple times, there wasn't a lot of romantic interest but we had stuff in common and became friends. We only had sex once, and we still stay in touch to this day (I've since moved out of the area). It was nothing speci…

The odds of rejection at that point - when the girl is literally in your bed lying next to you - are so low as to almost be none at all, but even if you do get rejected it's really more "I want to but not yet" than "I don't want to at all." I mean a lot of guys show up here not even being able to get a girl to come over let alone get in their bed. You aren't doing anything wrong. There's just some more stuff you could be doing right.

I'd put an official embargo on alcohol until you get that resolved then, if you're having to use alcohol as a crutch to interact naturally with women. Alcohol should only be a social supplement in these situations.

Normally I wouldn't write so harshly but it sounded like you were requesting a kick in the pants so that's what I was giving. She left her bra there? Great. When she comes over to get it, sit her down, feign being super serious (be over the top with it so she knows you're flirting) and tell her you fucked up last night and need to fix it, look her in the eye for a second or two, kiss her for a second or two, then pull back and laugh at yourself. Be smooth about it, and laugh your way through any…

It's not, in fact I rarely do, though there was a time when I did just to learn that I could. I'm going to reply more to the other comment below.

I didn't say he broke her trust because he didn't fuck her. He didn't even kiss her.

There's knowing what to do, knowing how to do it, and doing it. The first two can be taught, but it sounds like you already know them. The third one is on you man. No one here is going to take your head in their hands and make you kiss a hot girl. You have to do that yourself. The only motivation I can give you is: stop letting these girls down. You think this girl slept in your bed because she was bored, didn't have anywhere else to go, didn't have anyone else to sleep with? No fucking way. She…

Women don't hit on me all the time, but I've been hit on enough times by a woman that I'm comfortable saying it's obviously different than them just making eye contact for a few seconds. I'm not saying your thesis here is wrong, but I don't agree with calling eye contact "women hitting on men." That's too strong and cheapens real attempts by a woman to hit on a man. It's certainly good for a man to understand that eye contact can signal an invitation to approach.

never stop looking for something better unless you love what you have. Man, this is such good general, but concise, life advice it's insane.

Why do you need her number? You can coordinate your date through Tinder. Trust me, she'll volunteer the number at some point if you really need it.

You know, it's interesting that you bring all this up, because you're spot on with an old book, The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino (written in the 60's). He walks the reader through ten principles they need to master if they want to be successful; the first one is developing good habits, and the second includes greeting each person with a mental "I love you." The book is an extremely good read, I've read it many, many times myself, and would put in on a top five books that changed …

There's also the very real aspect that within a few months you should really know whether you are or are not compatible with a person. Most of my relationships end at the 6 month mark, and I don't have a problem with that. By then we both just knew it wasn't going to be anything long term.

Haha thanks. I only moved here about 2 years ago, actually right about the time I was beginning to browse seddit. I've had moderate success without really putting too much effort into things. I'm moving to Tampa in February and may bump it up a notch.

I've downvoted this because you haven't suggested an alternative. This isn't really the subreddit to tell someone what they are doing wrong without telling them how to do it right. I rarely downvote on reddit and especially in this subreddit but your comment as it is should not be the top comment. If you aren't willing to say "Guys who approach me <some other place> have been a lot more successful than guys who approach me at the gym" then this post is useless to guys interested in learning how …
