Because humans are not robots. People forget things sometimes. It's a thing that people do. Asking if the space specifically designed to keep hold of lost things has perhaps come into possession of a lost item is not expecting someone else to be responsible for their things. It's looking for them, in one of the spaces in which they might be. This post reeks of old man trying to puff himself up at the expense of younger guys. Unsuccessfully. But still trying.

You think men are "objectively worth less" because... They search for they lost property at the lost & found? The place speficially designed for people to see if their lost property is in? What the fuck, dude?

Nobody wants to read a book that resembles their actual life or the one they want, that's boring and without conflict you don't have a plot. Speak for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 02:03 PM

It's almost like condescending superficial advice doesn't take individual circumstances into account.

This was just the first Google result. Yeah, I figured.

There's an essential difference between a book portraying murder as the actions of an antagonist and murder as a romantic gesture, between depiction as a reality and depiction as an aspiration. This frequently gets lost here. Both Criminal Minds and Hannibal portray fantasy psychopaths, but it would be more wary of someone that lionizes Hannibal instead of Criminal Minds.

That sounds just like a very convuluted way of saying that women simultaneously don't feel any genuine attraction to men and desire only the top x% of men. A Black Pill have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 07:50 PM

Then that would mean she's attracted by "masculinity" in a roundabout way, and the "being desired" thing is just the normal human need for validation.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 07:25 PM

This makes very little sense. If there's no desire for the man qua man but only for his desiring, what different does his appearance or height make?

This is it, OP. Most comments here will just say "it's doesn't guarantee casual sex at my leisure, so there's no point", but if you want the actual reason, it's this. Specially about the part in which even self-described progressive people in love with diversity will resort to this kind of insult when faced with a man they don't like.

Most men on this sub care nothing for psychological health if it doesn't come attached to sex. It's a self-fulfilling vicious cycle.

You know what, this is a fair formulation. It is true, people do consistently expect exceptional treatment without being exceptional or even making an effort to be exceptional. This touches on the point about harem anime. Harem protagonists are often quite mediocre, yes, but they at least have a certain level of morality and dedication towards women that would get them labeled as "simps" by the dudes that want to emulate their lives.

It’s a group project. It is, but the average user of this sub doesn't want to accept that, just to dump all the blame on the opposite gender and demand immediate solutions. It's quite frustrating.

Ties back to the way gender roles for women got way less restrictive, to an extent that men's didn't. Now, which came first, chicken or egg, is anyone's guess.

Life gets easier when you just assume it's AI/troll/ragebait. And you'll actually be right in a lot of instances, too!

The Hunger Games is really on a level on its own when it comes to characterization and plot beats. There's Finnick's story, as you said. There's the fact that the main male character is, at the end of it, not defined by his capacity for heroic violence, but for nurturing. There's even a subtle denunciation of revanchist policies. It's a pity all of its imitators failed at all of that, but I suppose it was inevitable. Sturgeon's Law and all that.

I think this overextend a lot on the word "nice" It's basically "nice = denying your impulses" and "denying your impulses = bad", and somehow tying that to childhood. It's fascinating, really. It's basically saying that any kind of self-control on conscentiousness is the result of childhood trauma.

From the article in question: One of his oft-repeated tenets, for example, is that “men protect, provide, and procreate”. And what do women do, Mr. Galloway? And don't dodge the question by saying "oh, my focus is on men". Because when you say "men must this, and that's what makes them men", you necessarily imply a similar standard for women. What is it? How must women signal their suitability at being women, such that women that fail at it deserve to be told nothing other than "try harder, do b…

I'm mostly in agreement with this. I do think the show gets too heavy-handed occasionally, and presents everything in too idealistic a manner (I don't think most professional athletes would be that emotionally competent that fast)... But , on the other hand, it even shows the way in which emotional vulnerability can be exploited as a career move, by someone betraying you! It does wave the flag of therapy and emotional vulnerability, yes, but it never hides that... And I think it does it competen…

Contextually - Rebecca started chatting with Sam on an app that we are explicitly told allows no personal information or pictures. It is implied this goes on for weeks, at least, if not months, before they meet. That makes a difference. It makes it clear that his youth and attractiveness are not what drew her to him, and she hesitates a lot. Meanwhile, Rupert pursues Younger Rebecca precisely because she's young and hot, and is shown to cheat on her throughout their relationship, even when she's…

Yep. The worst part is that it freaking works. There are probably more than a handful of poor souls led astray by things they have read here specifically.
