I have to be honest, I would have slapped her, with moderated force so as not to actually damage. It doesn't matter the legal consequence, no one has a greater right for safety than your self defense to the point that they may rape you. I honestly urge you to seek therapy because I was raped by a guy in similar circumstances, although he tried to pin me down after I kept saying no, and I ended up bending his dick painfully so he'd let go. It took therapy. Just remember when you are being attacke…

The problem is with Critical Race Theory and other related "woke" ideologies that view everyone through the prism of identity. They view that men cannot be abused because apparently we are more "privileged" and women are "oppressed". Through this lense, they see misogyny everywhere they go, as if it's some cloud hanging over society. It isn't. The reality is that years ago things were very unequal and there truly was misogyny. However that's not the situation today, and we cannot treat it the sa…

Honestly I'm already borderline a little insane. I think if I got pushed into this situation I could see myself being pushed over the edge.

My heart goes out to you, what a very horrible situation. I would 100% go collect your belongings ASAP with police cooperation. Then give notice and ask a female friend or family member to go around and inform your ex. It's one way you can say "Fuck you" to her, she'll have less money if she has to pay rent, which should hurt her ability to get a better lawyer. I'm gay, I can't even imagine what would happen if I had an ex who accused me. I'm usually the more masculine in the relationships, and …

That is fucked up. Honestly I'm increasingly disappointed in the direction Canada is going. Yet I'm left-leaning and just want a sensible society, I don't want to vote Maxim Bernier who doesn't really represent what I believe in.

I'm sorry to hear that. So I was actually thinking about it based on the complaints a female friend had said about men. She, imo, has unreasonable standards and basically rejects almost every guy who messages her. She approaches men like a product. Usually the rejection will be something ridiculous like, "He's been married". And I'm like, "Look Karen, at 40 the only people who haven't been married are me and you". I also know a guy who complains about not being able to find women. He's definitel…

Heh I'm not going to become woke, alt-right, red, blue, or whatever. The truth is often somewhere in the middle.

It's so painful to see people getting mentally stuck up on minutiae. When we ride bikes, we don't think about the pedals or breaks. You just ride. That's how dating is meant to be. Initially there's some learning how to do it, but not a full on war with your bike!

Personally I'd rather be alone than date someone who is either radically changing themselves for me (codependent) or trying to change me (manipulative).

Tbh I felt that she had been punished way more harshly than she deserved. However, having come to this subreddit, yeah maybe the social ostracisation fit the crime. I just have to wonder, what if the man were instead white and the woman black?

I'm gay and this ain't even gay. Men need to pose in strong positions, cos that's what sexy men do. Not like women! If you ever happened to see gay porn, you'll notice guys will not behave anything like women do in straight porn (or lesbian porn).

How is work valued though? Or how should it be? Anyone can scrub walls, few people can intubate another human being.

Do you think perhaps the valuation of female dominated spaces also has anything to do with it? For example, in 2019 91% of nurses were female. The Ontario province loves to under pay nurses (thanks Premier Doug Ford <_<). Nursing is no longer a simple job, it's skilled nowadays. Shouldn't we be paying a higher wage for such a position? In part because we want to attract and retain the most skill in the medical field (it's people's literal lives after all). In Ontario, teaching is also slightly f…

I messaged the user to find out why it was deleted. It could be he deleted it himself, usually mod deleted posts appear with a Reddit warning.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
