Eastern european women tend to not be so shy and play coy I think. A lot more strong personalities, too.

My last girlfriend was Austrian and she definitely had a very strong personality. I think that women who command a strong presence and can be intimidating at times are the best, and I'm definitely not the only guy to think that.

I guess I should try this, then. Same situation, here.

Oh fuck, I hate those guys. Being in high school, I'm nearly surrounded by them. Every higher-end event that I attend with people from school ends up being about 1/3 guys wearing them. Those shoes don't seem to me like their flaunting the flat toe that most flat toed shoes seem to. I actually thought they looked round until I looked closer.

Try just "not good at getting girls talking"

Usually if I'm not doing most of the talking, I end up asking tons of questions and screwing up somehow, because all I get are short answers and no elaboration. The other times, the girl already likes me. Though part of is that I just kind of suck.

Just wanted to comment: I hate it when I have to lead the conversation with girls. I end up talking about myself a ton, and who I am talking to finds out my life story while I hardly know their name. I just keep having to keep it going on and on, but if I don't come up with something, then the conversation goes silent and awkward. I hate it when girls make me do all the talking.

This. This a million times. Don't jump into things hoping for a specific outcome, let whatever happens happen.

But the question being addressed is "Friend zone oneitis" not being cut off from a girl. :P

I do the same thing. I cut ties with girls who chase after me that I don't want to be with. Ever single time. It just gets weird having a girl around that you know wants to be with you, that you have no intention of being with. To me, that almost seems like I'd be leading her on by making her think I was going to give her a chance to win me over.

And now I realize that when she tried to get me to show her my nails, I shouldn't have refused the several attempts she gave..

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
