Thanks. I wouldn't say "early" though, I'm turning 31 in July. I wish I had understood all these things when I was in my twenties but maybe it's not possible and these terrible life experiences are mandatory for growing. Oh well.

Seneca and Marcus Aurelius for starters. Then find a Stoicism anthology or compilation. I'm not a native English speaker so I can't recommend you one in particular but I'm sure these are easy to find. This is what I did. It changed my life and I'm not being hyperbolic.

Also happens when you're feeling depressed or sad or going through a rough time in life or whatever. Never tell them and never expect any kind of support from them. At first, sure, they'll give some vague encouraging words. But then slowly but surely they'll run away from you and get more and more distant. Women will never support us. That's a myth.
