But as men, we have a moral obligation to protect ourselves when we know the danger exists. I ABSOLUTELY agree that men need more control over the decisions that are made after conception. I personally talked my daughter out of having an abortion, based on the fact that the young man who got her pregnant didn't agree with it and wanted the child, and I felt that he had that right. Ask any father who has a teen-age daughter and he will tell you that he has, at some point, told them to "keep your pussy in your pants", though probably not as in-eloquently as we are discussing here. As parents we need to force the courts to support our custodial rights, and unfortunately that means pursuing a legal process, which translates directly into financial issues. This commonly causes a parent to "give-up". Across the country there are organizations popping up that help finance these difficult situations, but unfortunately there aren't enough. Its a separate issue because, one is a clear and defined financial responsibility, and the other is custodial. Ex. As a grandfather and father of two grown children, am I the only one who thinks that if you have children, you have a responsibility for them? Its men dodging these responsibilities that help make a bad name for all of us. And if I recall correctly, there are work exceptions for most passport restrictions.
