What the hell are you doing marrying your son??!!

This is the problem with the ridiculous notion of remaining under the same roof during the separation period. Y’all should be SEPARATED. And you must try to move On and get strange ass.

Get a px for Sildenafil. Sounds like this new woman is fantastic so relax. And get Suldenafil.

Well, I voluntarily agreed to separate so it wasn’t necessarily my wife’s idea. So that might be different. However I do still get lonely. And especially at night. I will wake up at 2 or 3am and immediately my mind wanders and sometimes I don’t even fall back to sleep. At least you have a dog though. I would imagine that would help a great deal.

Get on the apps. Try to have meaningless sex with women and if not then find a guy who will suck you off at least

This entire description sounds kinda gross 🤮

Work on yourself so you feel less lonely. Dont rely on needing other ppl around all the time (that’s probably what “experts” would tell you)

I’m recently separated and calling this the Summer of George! However I am already dreading the holidays.

Ok. Well that’s realistic.

No Break up can break you by Nick Dawson. I am in no way pimpinh his book. Dont know him. I’ve read about 1/3 of it but I will say its idea hit me dead on. I am interested to see what the rest says.

Honestly I’m listening to a lot of talk radio. Sports. Business. Anything the ex wasn’t into.

Wow your first paragraph sounded extremely familiar. I started reading a divorce for men book which also nailed many of my feelings. My situation is tough bc I’m lonely. I have few friends no local family. And I’m not exactly George Clooney so making friends and meeting women is difficult. You sound like have a lot going for you so I would think that the longer you are away from your ex the easier it will be to move on emotionally. Personally I have zero expectations or desire to reunite with mi…

Dude if you have an “amazing girlfriend” then what’s the issue?

I can imagine this is even more difficult. Pretending to be “on” and social. Hang in there. I am struggling with similar however there are no kids in the picture. But I have few friends so I’m doing whatever I can to stay active. Even working out twice a day when I never have become lol.
/r/Divorce_Men20/04/25 10:28 PM

I so hope this is true. Doesnt feel that way right now. I’m really struggling.

I feel you. I just entered the separation stage a few weeks ago. Overall felt ok mostly. But having a difficult night (not sure why). Just feel very alone.
/r/Divorce_Men15/04/25 01:42 AM

I’m just entering the separation stage and I’ve thought about it as well. But I’m probably too chicken to do it and worry about getting caught in a sting 😂

Sounds more like teen romance fiction. You’re lucky to have this woman who loves you. Work on the rest of it.

Ok that’s what I thought. I currently use the Spectrum app on a tv in my current home. Just wanted to make sure I could use that same app via a Roku TV or a Roku device in a new location, assuming I kept the current account etc. Just trying to figure out some logistics 🤦‍♂️

All I am seeking is the ability to talk on phone, text, and use various dating apps 😬. Will that work?
/r/Divorce_Men20/03/25 11:12 PM

$40-50 for the phone? Or $40-50 per month?
/r/Divorce_Men20/03/25 11:06 AM

What kinds of sacrifices? I relocated multiple times so that she could advance her career. That count?
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 08:37 PM

But do those calls and texts I make through the app on my current phone appear on the phone bill or are they saved to the iCloud? She will be able to see that I have the burner app installed on my phone but just won’t be able to see any content?
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 12:37 PM

So is the burner phone “app” on my current phone??
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 12:27 AM
1

Yea I am concerned about the iCloud lol
/r/Divorce_Men18/03/25 07:23 PM

I have not. Will the “new” line appear in any way on the current lines phone bill?? If not then that sounds like my number one option.

I was wondering about this possibility also. I have my first consultation next week. But I would prefer to not even use attorneys and my STBX feels the same. I want to consult an attorney to get an idea at least of what may go down and want I may be entitled to (STBX is the higher earner), but maybe from there negotiate a separation agreement with the STBX ourselves. All I’m looking for is some spousal support and half the house once it’s sold. One question for me is how much spousal support and…

Good point. I assumed the Court would want to see some type of lease agreement which shows I moved. But you’re right. For all they know I could have stayed with a friend without a lease.

Moving out because I really don’t want to be around her and I think the best way to move forward is separately, not co-habitating. I’m certainly not going to live WITH her for an entire year during the “separation period”.
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/25 02:47 AM

Thanks. I will make some calls to lawyers.
/r/Divorce_Men10/03/25 11:27 PM

I’m getting ready to move out and begin my separation. I’m only looking for one of three things: A friend Straight sex NSA A friend with benefits (seems ideal) No way I’m looking for another relationship any time soon.
/r/Divorce_Men10/03/25 10:18 PM
1

Did you two work out a separation agreement on your own? If so, is it legally binding? Or did you both get attorneys?
/r/Divorce_Men19/02/25 05:57 PM

So you can get “compensated” but it’s in the form of a settlement like a one time payment rather than alimony which would be paid monthly?? (Sorry I’m new to this)
/r/Divorce_Men10/02/25 02:24 PM
2

Yes and also isn’t he entitled to some form of alimony as well? Since she makes much more $$.

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet and filed but I could see how this theory could be valid. No baggage holding one back any longer. More focus. Doing things (or NOT doing things) for oneself.
/r/Divorce_Men30/01/25 04:33 AM

Yea we are weird. In my case 99% of me couldn’t care less what my wife does after the divorce. Because I’ve been there done that and whatever guy comes along won’t be “winning” when they get with her. BUT there’s that tiny 1% that still finds it disturbing lol.

I haven’t been in your shoes as I don’t have kids and I am not YET separated. But I think once everything is officially “over” and signed you will get Your second wind. I’ve heard great things about therapy. Hang in there. 👍. I am positive it will get better.

Depends on your dosage. My pills are 50mg each. Some are 100mg each. They say don’t take more than 100mg total in 24 hr period. Anyway, I’ve used them a half a dozen times now. First time I went with 50mg since it was my first time. It was a noticeable difference. From then on I have taken 100mg each time. Works like a charm! Takes about 30 mins to take effect and I’ve noticed I still feel their effect the next morning. Side effect is occasionally a headache. They say that drinking alcohol lower…

“Day game”. lol. My new social media term of the day. Y’all are something. I WANT to criticize you for actually considering moving to a city based on your chances of getting laid, because it truly is ridiculous. HOWEVER, I recall being 18 and one factor in deciding which college to go to was the ratio of women to men so……you do you bro.

Haha honestly as a man I want 1 and 2. lol.

Feeding your kids processed food and leaving clothes on the floor is hardly a tragedy. Being a “loudmouth and yelling” sucks. If it bothers you then my question is: 3 toddlers?? How/why did you procreate with her? 3 times. As far as “sex” goes. If you dislike/resent her so much why would you even WANT to have sex with her? Just in your brief description it kinda sounds like you have as many issues as she does. I guess I would suggest you think of your children.
/r/Divorce_Men05/01/25 07:30 PM

So is she keeping the house? Selling and splitting? Was this just your separation agreement before the actual divorce?
/r/Divorce_Men03/01/25 03:33 AM
1

Ok this makes more sense then. You get a separation agreement in place, then wait one year For divorce filing. And I’m assuming the separation agreement can include spousal support payments during the separation?

I thought I just read that NC is a no fault state now? What exactly is an “at fault” divorce? What’s the practical difference? Thank you replying.

So when using a mediator, does that mean you dont go in front of a judge ever? The mediator works it all out and finalizes the conditions set forth?
/r/Divorce_Men02/01/25 04:15 AM

I can’t dispute that. They know that most ppl won’t make the decision to move FAR away so they have us…

I have similar question except we don’t have kids and there’s no way I could afford to buy her out of the house post divorce and stay there anyway. So does it matter if I move out now while we go through separation and divorce process??

This is a tricky one indeed. Read through the comments and not a single suggestion for an abortion? (Not that I would suggest that, just was waiting for that comment). I’d say play a serious game of chicken. Tell her you’re not willing to move back. Stand firm. See if that changes her mind eventually. Downvote here 👇

It’s not so much you’re a cheater like another poster states. You’re reaching midlife or beyond and want to explore. Just the fact she is asexual would be enough for me. Bye bye. And it sounds like you feel the same way. Otherwise your option is to accept there is no sex for you with her or anyone and stay married to her. “Ethical non monogamy” 😂😂😂. Everyday I learn a new term someone somewhere made up to justify their behavior or who they think they are (not you).

Seems like a good deal for the person who is buying the other one out as they then will have a valuable asset which will have appreciated.
/r/Divorce_Men06/11/24 05:04 PM

When one party buys out the other to keep the house, do they just pay the half of the equity? Or is it factored in that they then will have this property which will have great value in 20 yrs etc?

I wish you the best but I do not believe that you do not know why she left you or that’s it’s that she stopped loving you. Come clean?
/r/Divorce_Men03/11/24 06:01 PM

My situation there are no children. Ideally I would like to get my own apartment while we go through the process. Then sell the house and split it.
/r/Divorce_Men03/11/24 05:59 PM

I had always read that when separating you should not move out of the house. Not sure why as this seems counterintuitive but that’s what I’ve read.

Wow that’s wild. That’s a good question though. My guess is that it’s not illegal since it’s her home. But I dunno. So you’re eavesdropping on her through the baby monitor app and she’s spying on you through at least one and probably more cameras? Yikes. I would cut off Wi-Fi and search for the camera(s). You should take her toothbrush and let her see you run it under your armpit.

She’s probably writing the same stuff on r/Divorce_Women 😂

Here’s an additional HYPOTHETICAL scenario to add to the above…. How would one party’s infidelity affect any of the above? Whether she is potentially unfaithful or I am during marriage. Does that change anything when it comes to possible alimony etc?

I’m not sure I would feel right going after her retirement like that but it’s good information.
