Not guaranteed. - even if they succeed in alienating a huge portion of the original fanbase they can just go the gamesworkshop way like wh40k for games etc and throw out lots of small licence deals, scale back on the budget and churn out more lower budget stuff, which will probably be trash, but they can pretty much guaranteed make their money back, it just depends if it takes an entire more trilogy or more of movies. I think they really pilled the trigger too fast on giving Rian more movies, Je…

I actually did the Soylent thing for a while, I'm not going to lie in terms of nutrition and how I felt while "eating" it - that shit is amazing. Seriously. Was only doing 1-2 meals a day with it sporadically, but it was really excellent, added bonus was that my regular meals were hugely more delicious as a consequence.

I think this is true, to a degree, although honestly I think like 5 or fewer partners, depending on how old you are at that point is not bad, its the CASUAL aspect which is truly damning, and from his statement its because you are fundamentally treating yourself as casual at the same time. I found his stance that monogamy is better morally even for the man who can be insanely attractive to women, AKA super-chad with 100 plus or whatever partners, both for personal psychological reasons/"not corr…

And yet he is in favor of monogamy, which is a consideration outside of reproduction. The times I've seen him say along the lines of 'you can't ask thst' etc - he is "wearing a hat" so to speak. Just no dude lol. I agree with Darwinian pragmatism, for what it's worth, being an atheist an all. It's not the only consideration, but it is certainly a consideration. Also heard him allude to the whole concept of reducing suffering as much as possible - although he would likely argue you can't eliminat…

The thing about the type of marriage or relationship that Peterson believes to be integral to a good life is that it is so fundamentally different from the average (vast vast majority) of relationships today that we focus on here that the comparison there is not a direct one... He is more along the lines of a tradcon in that respect, which while those types are sympathetic if not a bit critical of MGTOW they are far from the "enemies" that bluepill\feminist types are. On this point is he very fo…

I disagree, and that's simply in contradiction to his stated highest moral ideal(s) - orient yourself towards the greatest good, and tell the truth in pursuit of it. And given his decades in clinical psychology counselling people to improve their lives, I think it's pretty clear he lives with a goal of improving the world around himself as much as he can. The political issue is, hillariously, I think the WEAKEST part of his various views\lectures, largely that's I think a consequence of the lack…

He is cautiously critical of young women as well as men, I think it's all steered towards men though as a consequence of both his professional experience, personal insight, the political minefield of criticising women or feminine nature, and not least of which the simple metrics of who has latched onto his content being men, thus him pushing more content geared for his audience. Sort of a self powered cycle in that respect.

The more I hear and read of his views and... Ideals... The more I do agree with them. That's as a center left (socialist in many respects) atheist. He brings a refreshing and logical analysis as to the value of religion that is wholly compatible with science and reason, that alone I think elevates him to a very high tier of folks worth listening to.

It's possibly a little bit that, but.... I'd say that it's pretty genuine of an apology. I'm fairly well versed in Peterson's ideologies, rules for life, and listened to a decent number of lectures (still working through the vast amount of stuff available) .... I think that MGTOW philosophy is not too far removed from his own, and his initial denouncement was based on a surface level analysis.... Much like how Cassie Jay upon gaining deeper understanding became amenable to the men's rights movem…

Ice cold Guinness or one of those lime beers when it's 35c out and you've been working your ass off... Yeah. That said, most of my life I've found beer to be vile, but it has its time. I drink maybe six times a year, on average.

If the channels continue to make content which is watched the same amount as before (which lets be honest, given the tiny channels make a few bucks a year, they likely will continue on as before) demonetizing them actually turns what was a marginal cost into totally cost. If there is no ads YouTube makes a big donut. This is as much about them as their advertiser's, and as much as it's "YouTube's" politics its SJW politics from advertiser's and other groups putting pressure on YouTube along side…

I think he is in a particularly akward spot even compared to Louis CK and some others... His best option may just be to shrug his shoulders and make a face if questioned about it. He is awkward, it's always been part of his charm, its kind of funny to learn that he is just as awkward with women as he seems in his characters.... But he is in a no-win position when it comes to addressing this issue. His best move is to just keep his mouth shut. There is some irony in that, given he is, effectively…

The kinda of MD's Rogan talks to (and would talk to him) are not the 20 years out of date kind you are referring to. The stabilized starch was specifically about two things ; one reducing its glycemic index\response, it was to the point that he could not measure a response or observe a crash in himself and two the altered form of starch is a fantastic food source\fuel for healthy gut flora. So... Yeah.

It depends on your body type AND heritage. Eat what makes you feel good. I'm really leaning towards either keto or high protein being optimal for most people, with some very few being best with relatively higher complex carbs. Athletes can cheat more especially with simpler carbs and sugars, due to throughput in their system, but still probably not great. Nobody should be consuming processed sugars, and very few modern process grain products (too much like just consuming sugar)

Potatoes are healthier if you cook them cool them and then reheat them, the starch changes into a different form (stabilized starch) If you are even remotely lactose intolerant avoiding all dairy is good advice, inflammation is bad. Source ; Joe Rogan podcast and an MD he had on.

Try to soak in some of the red-pill esque self empowerment self actualization mindset here and elsewhere. Time. You have the benefit of having never ridden the dragon and therefore never having quite the same actual chemical addiction to attraction many do. With time and mindset you come to truly and deeply understand and feel that this way is more than just acceptable, it is in many many ways preferable. But it is IMO too early to fully commit to anything and\or believe it to be the truth or the one path. That's for you to discover. Despite many here I don't believe AWALT, and in that spirit some men will still manage to find something they find acceptable or gratifying with women whether that's a "modern" relationship or a tradcon one. This, quite a bit although there IS a left\right difference which is documented and exists very much, it comes down to different moral values and language, but that doesn't go on to them further just divide each specific issue into black and white. This quote has been part of my identity for like 10 years, not MGTOW related but politically. Similar thing ; Swiss cheese, you know the iconic holes in it, well in North America some Swiss cheese does not have any holes, because of really high standards and filtration they don't occur or in much smaller numbers, as they are caused by impurities in the milk (usually tiny tiny tiny bits of hay) which cause a different reaction with the bacteria and form the cavities. I really like the holes though, lol.

His point is that someone of awful, vile character can put forth testimony which can be viewed as very credible, even particularly so, depending on the apparent and stated motives. Sometimes forthrightly bad people are, in my experience and opinion, much more reliable\predictable than "normal" or predominantly "good" people. I find it hilarious that a bunch of the most powerful women in society (especially those who are the most reliable, self-actualized, and not prone to sinking their companies etc) refuse to identify as feminist or outright denounce it. This is a men's space and much of the anger is from men who have been taken advantage of, nothing personal (well, some will see it like that.) No, not really... Maybe why can't you respect our right to a "safe space"? That's kind of the point, we aren't really allowed in polite society to be ourselves, have our own opinions or share stories about womens behaviour that we have lived experience of. I think you have a home here. There are some who are really raging but I think they calm in time or just settle into the main point, to go your own way, disconnect from the anger and move on, that's the point. The questions aren't the problem, never will be, the problem is people showing up and spewing really blatant things which are easy to construe as hateful\violent. I listened to a psychology podcast recently that discussed women not being funny, and this was the main conclusion, or one of. General points... 1. Men have an evolutionary pressure to be funny, it is a historical and long known phenomenon that men are funnier, generally. 2. Men tell jokes which are more often fully relatable to both genders. 3. If it follows the pattern of my life, she will (secretly) cheat with beo-chad, after beta falls truly in love with her. Neo Chad will probably turn him into a pile of blood when he gets pissed about it (because he is truly love addicted by that point) and Nancy won't even feel bad about it. Guessing after that the kid will truly snap and ACTUALLY be a bad guy of sorts. Beta bill Sam is also going to be cheated on and emotionally destroyed.

Eh.... Fairly militant friend (SO of a friend) went to the enjoyment first then just print dismissal because "its worse for women" when I brought up my own assault\rape.

Look, you'll never get uptake en masse here, because regardless of merit the verbiage poisons the well. You say patriarchy and all we hear is " men's fault" in a sins of the father type fashion. There is no out from that position, it is pretty straight forward psychology. Also I find the notion that "the Patriarchy" was created and enforced solely by men to be poisonous and really reduces the role of women in all of history unjustifiably. Women played their part, had voices, and participated in …

I never did keep myself In check, but that's because the enjoyment over an intellectual debate always was so rewarding. Paid a price for it, even in an "open" culture. Edit ; we were also quite different on assertive line,

My E was baaaaarely an E, like 50 50 pretty much, you? I ask cuz so far the only E's have been ENTP debaters it seems.

ENTP-T "debater" Seems pretty accurate for me, I have to hold myself back from debate here generally speaking, as example the hubub over hating on women, my pedantic point being in line with the 50\50 split on my test between logic and emotion, I see emotional pitfalls in embracing too much the comisserating over women, despite recognizing the value in doing so, especially here (the "dosing" with reason/stories to counterbalance our natural drives and societal pressure.) Guess I am an outsider h…

You should go to the landlord when you are going to move out, show him the evidence of the money, maybe get it directly from him. If not, your only recourse is probably small claims (best of luck)

Pot, booze, all of it, Occasional use. Occasional. It all takes a toll on you, abstinence is a personal choice, so is dependence, I've done both, don't get a lot out of drinking mostly pot but once in a while I actually find I benefit (in the medium term, ) from getting tipsy once a month or every few weeks

Whole story is shitty, sorry to hear it but. You fucked up lending essentially strangers money, male, female, doesn't matter, that was an exceptionally bad call. Golden rule of lending money : don't lend it if you expect it back. Lol.

In NA there were for a while free and cheap drinks for women, which was also shut down as being discriminatory (and frankly just a really really bad idea.) May have been more Canada but I recall there being some noise about it.

Watch this later but initial thoughts... I learned about the pill negating women's "smell sense" in regards to genetically compatible mates many years ago... Since then I have developed that into a theory that birth control has been part of the force which has caused divorce rates to spike etc. Hook up with someone due to logical (lol) cognitive processes... Decide to have a baby, but suddenly you feel like this is NOT a good mate but don't know why (but Jesus your boss smells good....) Perhaps …

30, considering service.... Slightly MGTOW related but much more general lost, especially due to the evolving economy and general collapse of the political sphere.

Weed also has a detrimental effect on sleep cycles, although it is not nearly as dramatic it is still there. I was chronic for a few years... Led to insomnia. Responsible use people :) Listen to your body.

That there is a place Beyond the anger I think is the important bit. People feeling threatened by the pushback against that anger because they are clinging to it for strength and identity... It's kind of tragic actually that much of MGTOW is self defining around the anger rather than.... Well, many things beyond that which are healthier in the long term. Anger is a step though, no judgement or anger in return, and not from the "attention whore" posters either. Everyone gets it I think, except th…

I think there should be a "gentle MGTOW" group... Somewhere between menslib and here... Understanding maybe still some salt but avoiding the hardline "fuck them all" stuff. That said I understand the salt but think it is unproductive.

We were mentioned on a feminism podcast (stuff mom never told you) ... I think we can't dismiss the self awareness either. They were kind of shitty in the episode buuuuut... There was some like.... Dejected almost accepting their complicity in the arise of MGTOW and having some problem justifying a dismissal of it... It was interesting. Infuriating habit to listen but it keeps me honest.

I don't judge these things on their face value, because that really is stupid to do. Is it likely (given the current proportions of genders still in high powered business roles and tech roles.) That this new board and such is as good or the best set of people possible (which would, statistically, due to availability be largely men...) ... No. Not likely, but not impossible either. Greater concern for me is that some selections made may have placed sub-par or outright incompetent people in critic…

Hey man, I'm with you. The way I see it MGTOW as a philosophy is one which actually doesn't preclude such things... But that if one does one does so with open eyes and a clear head... And the newfound ability to see shit tests, do your own, or just call them all out and refuse them when they occur... Don't let yourself be disempowered, and don't let some vag disempower herself "for you" either... All anybody wants is happiness in life, I think it's a truly poisoned bitter person who would... Wis…

Yeah, this is one thing which bothers me quite a bit about feminism contrasted with fashion and especially makeup. Why, exactly, is dressing like a skank or doctoring up you physical appearance just so empowering\gratifying for women? Many who are also annoyed by it and feminist often veer off into the patriarchy as the cause, because of dress codes and expectations in the past... But it all falls apart a bit when you both see how women are generally vastly more concerned about appearance than m…

I'm not MGTOW as far as most here are, I more fell into it... Quick story I guess. Grew up atheist, so didn't value virginity such as you, however was raised almost entirely by my mother... One because of the domineering "Gynocentric" attitude of her family and society and also as a consequence of my father being raised in a genuinely abusive and "too much" paternalistic household (his father, my grandfather was a religious extremist to put it bluntly.) ... So, while we differ on the sex aspect …
