How about just not being a dick?

As someone who isn't ever having kids, and generally dislikes them, no, some of us don't give a shit.

In which case, why the fuck is Time running his articles?

Sounds like a 20 year old thinks he is "really dressing up." I wear whatever I want, but I'm also in to fashion and know what looks good. I can stand out without looking like a tool. Loud colors can be awesome when done right. When you rock jeans, a button down, and a vest (which should really only be worn with a suit), it screams that you don't know how to put together an outfit.

He said it been a choice since Wade V Roe. Nothing else. Stop being sensational.

And I get that, but you can't deny that overall it was a bitter, hateful, racist rant from a "nice guy." Fuck that noise.

Jesus fuck that second link. That comment is so full of spite, vitriol, racism, and self-loathing I can't stand it. So upset that no one would settle down, date, and marry the fucker while in college, and really hasn't learned shit since.

I do the same often because I can't be buggered to be anything but honest. I think, especially in your situation, since you were hammered, it's more than forgivable, and almost expected. Forget the trickery, just be honest.

Sad to see this is somewhat low down in this post, and that you're the only one saying it. I totally agree here though. I mean, I guess I'm guilty of using scripted lines/openers as well (years ago), but that was when I was young, foolish, and didn't know any better. They seemed like good ideas, and at the time, the PUA stuff wasn't main stream. However, like you've said, they sound sort of needy, and rarely come across as natural an/or genuine. It always seems like a fake interaction. And I see…

Fuck exactly this. I can't count how many times I've heard women say that they want "a nice guy with an edge." In other words, I good person, who will stand up for himself, and not take shit from others. It's pretty simple, really.
/r/seduction10/09/12 03:55 AM

Thank you for kind of condensing what I was trying to say in to something far more succinct. Specifically, this part: The problem isn't the PUA material is it the lack of mastery over it. Don't get me wrong, I'm no fucking guru, but I do well. I'm also probably older than most guys in this sub and probably have more experience. There is definitely a time and place for the material to be put in to practice, and it's not for every situation involving a woman. I'm legitimately happy to see at least…

Yea it is an example of supplication. No, it isn't. It's an example of being a good person. Were they to ask him for help, it might be a different story. But you know what? If I were in his shoes, and the girls asked for my help, I'd help them. Because I'm not a shitty person. And, because it's a wonderful in. You can be a nice, good person and still be "alpha," you know.
/r/seduction10/09/12 12:35 AM
27

I'm going to go against the grain here, and probably be downvoted to hell, but I don't really care. What you did was spot on. Not because it was going to get you laid, but because you were being a good person. You need to be that first and foremost. Every single other response to this is flat out assholery. I know the emphasis in this sub is "be alpha, don't placate, don't be a doormat," etc. But you were just trying to be nice, and that's a fucking good thing. So they didn't need your help? Fin…

I know this sounds crazy, but.... go talk to people and make friends! It's awesome and easy and fun! Seriously! And honestly, if you don't do it, no one is going to do it for you. You've got to stop with the pity party, mate, and get on with being the person you want to be. Shit I wish I had someone tell me this when I was your age. I waited until I was about 25-26 to finally break the hell out of my shell. Do it now, and you'll have less regrets later. Use your senior year to learn and grow and…

No. No no no no no no no no no. Let me clarify.... NO. Can you step back for a second and think... give her your what? Business card? Are you trying to do business with her? And no, we're not talking innuendo here, I mean legitimately are you making a business connection? No? Then save it. IMO, business cards are not a way to display status, they're a way to exchange contact information with people you're interested in networking with in a business sense. Anyone can make a business card that say…

She used sex to lure her ex to get beaten. She used sex to have two thugs do the beating. Don't get me wrong, if she did indeed do this she's a vile horrible person, but how the fuck do you know that she used sex for these things, or that she's even fucking guilty? What the fuck happened to due process and innocent until proven guilty?

Where did I say or even imply that I was butthurt? In fact, I wrote in my edit the following: I'm bored and feel like picking apart every argument for some reason. I'm basically saying that this poor excuse for a writer should just, you know, not go to night clubs instead of bitching about 29 things that either don't affect him while he's there, or are subjective at best.
/r/MensRights14/05/12 01:10 AM

This article not only has nothing to do with MR, but is... retarded. Some people actually enjoy clubs. I'm one of them. All the time? No. I'm not 21 anymore. But once in a while I still get the urge to go out to the biggest/trendiest/loudest club that exists near me, get wasted, and dance my ass off. Why? Because it's fun. For me. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, and honestly the vast majority of this bullshit list is insanely narrow minded, short sighted, and obviously biased. Edit: I…

/r/MensRights14/05/12 12:20 AM

Fashion is subjective, as such, saying parts of the outfit are dumb is a pretty worthless criticism. This is also not about age, sorry. I'm pushing 30 and would wear this in a heartbeat. Why? Because I like my choice in clothing to stand out. I like bold colors and bright patterns. At the end of the day, your clothing says a lot about who you are, for better or worse. And although it may not appeal to you, it is, all said and done, one well done outfit. Just, perhaps, not for everyone. But it ce…

Well then, well fucking done sir. You've definitely found a bit of your own style, and damn I'm glad you haven't turned in to another MFA clone just wearing the same old uniform. Would it be possible to get a list of the items you're wearing/price/where you got them? Specifically the pants and shoes, but I like everything you're rocking there. Seriously impressed considering you just started getting in to fashion.
/r/seduction30/04/12 05:44 AM

But you said the following: Maybe it works on college girls, though, and that's why I don't get it. Here's the thing, sure, the outfit is loud, but it's a very well put together outfit. Quite honestly, not something anyone just diving in to fashion could put together and pull off well. As far as fashion goes, this... this is damn good. It's not just flash for the sake of being flashy, it is a legitimately damn good looking, well fitting, well matching outfit.

You know, I've had this username for just about 3 years now, and when I made it, I just wanted something memorable. I couldn't think of anything more memorable than this, so that's what I went with. At the time, I had just deleted my account that was about 2 years old, so I've been here a while, and you're right, with the expansion of the userbase comes a steady decline in quality content. I swear it's somewhere around the 50k mark of a subreddit where, unless there's heavy moderation (like r/as…

... What does her being a girl have to do with it?
/r/seduction08/12/11 06:35 PM
1

Hence why I said "not always." In the stated instance, I'd still venture it more likely to be an honest mistake that became a convenient excuse.
/r/seduction08/12/11 06:34 PM
15

Not always. And I would doubt this is. I mean do you really think that she left a sweater over at his house so that, just in case, three weeks later, she can have an excuse to call this guy? Far more likely that she legitimately forgot it, and when she decided she wanted to talk to him, it was a good excuse. If it wasn't the sweater, it would have been something else.

Sounds like you should have gone for the kiss, if nothing else. It's a rare first date when I don't, personally. Making out in the rain is awesome, by the way. Overall, though, you seemed pretty solid. Line up a day two and be more aggressive my friend. You look like you've done well.

The fuck does this have to do with men's rights?
/r/MensRights17/08/11 04:48 PM

I disagree. If you're busy as fuck and can't see a girl for a week or two, texting is a great way to keep her "warm" so to speak.
/r/seduction17/08/11 03:21 PM
5

No, no, no. It is not hard to bail. It's texting. You are not obligated to answer her. If you don't want to sit and text, then don't. You're a busy man with better things to do. You're working. You're out with friends being social and awesome and cool. You're saving the world. Fuck I don't know. But the simple fact of the matter is you don't have to text all the time. Hell, just don't answer, or tell her "Hey, I'm a bit busy right now, but lets finish this conversation over a cocktail tomorrow a…

There is indeed a bit more to it than that. If you haven't, head over to r/MaleFashionAdvice to get a good understanding of the basics. And yeah, if you're wearing a shirt that actually has French cuffs, you're already stepping up your game.
/r/seduction09/08/11 08:59 PM

Nah, it's just dressing well, if a little eccentric. I wasn't wearing a fucking glowstick necklace or pins or any other pieces of flair for fucks sake, I just looked a bit different, but damn good.
/r/seduction08/08/11 10:02 PM
8

To me, and, I'd think, many others, the point of the seduction community isn't just to get laid. But in reality, I can only speak for myself. At the end of the day, this community and its ideals and techniques were more for me to become a person I wanted to be. It wasn't just about getting the girl, but being that guy that everyone wants to know, that everyone looks up to/admires/gives a shit about. Getting my dick wet just happened to be a nice perk that came along with it. So to me, at the end…

Jesus fuck do I hate peacocking. I honestly think it's so... ridiculous. You want to know what will make you stand out? Be well dressed. And I don't just mean wear a nice shirt and some fucking designer jeans that you spent too much on because of the label they've got on the back, for fucks sake. Get your shirts tailored, find jeans that fit you properly. In fact, fuck jeans, go out rocking some badass slacks because unless you're at a really high end night club, most people won't be wearing sla…

just maybe bring some peacockery/bits of attention This is important but must be done properly. If you're new to fashion, just stick to proper fit and colors at first until you get a good hold on things. I have a pair of bright orange shoes (I mean like traffic cone orange) that I wear every once in a while. But when I do it, they work with the outfit I'm wearing and garner a ton of attention.
/r/seduction01/08/11 07:53 AM

There are a ton of these everywhere. I'm in Los Angeles and I know of entirely too many. And you don't even have to be a good photographer. Half of the larger business just dump a Canon Rebel in some kid's hands, put it on program, and give him $50 for a couple of hours to shoot away.
/r/seduction03/07/11 05:47 PM
2

The XTi has the same autofocus system as the 30D, if I remember correctly, and I've never had issues focusing in low light with that guy as long as the AF assist on my flash was on.
/r/seduction03/07/11 05:43 PM
1

Just a nitpick, slow shutter speeds won't result in more noise until that sensor starts to heat up, which won't happen until your exposures are around 20-30 seconds more or longer. It's really just the higher ISO that's going to give you the grain when you're shooting club stuff. Any newer DSLR is just fine up to 1600 ISO or higher.
/r/seduction03/07/11 05:40 PM
1

Jesus man that is a really low shutter speed. With a 50D you'll have no issues with grain stepping up to 800 ISO, and bringing your shutter speed up to 1/50. With that light sphere, just point your flash straight up and keep your aperture at 5.0, and you're good to go. You'll still get nice ambient light in the background, I promise, and you won't have those cheesy looking trails from camera shake as well.
/r/seduction03/07/11 05:37 PM

I have a variation on this: "I'm going home and having sex, wanna come with me?" Almost always gets a laugh.

It doesn't matter where you're standing if you're the life of the party, my friend. It's all about the frame you're in and the image you're projecting.

YA RLY. This doesn't have shit to do with men's right, and if the dude in the story is representative of you, the problem is you're a pussy, and your lady is a bitch. End of story. You have a shitty relationship dynamic and you're too much of a doormat to do anything about it.

The best plan of attack WOULD HAVE been to text her back the same day you texted her the question, playing it off like it was nothing. Sending something like "I'm totally ok if you say no. I truly am. This was merely a humble request" probably would have gotten one of three responses; I disagree here. Makes you sound like such a pussy/try hard/beta/whatever you want to call it. No matter how you slice it, it isn't good. There's really only one way about it now, and that's to leave it alone, and …

Well, as I said elsewhere, I never pay for a woman on a first date, and generally not until we're already dating/having sex. Agreed, sort of. Depends on the girl, although as of late, first dates have been solely for me to feel them out and see if I want to even bother with a second, which means it's been something simple, like grabbing drinks somewhere, and it's usually me getting the first round, her getting the next, etc. I'm fine with that. And yeah, 5-10 minutes is insanely long when you're…

I get your points, and agree with just about everything you've said, but want to clarify a few things here. Again, a text or whatever is fine. I don't mind it, although I'll take a playful jab at her for it of course. But that's different than a 5-10 minute conversation about, well, nothing important. That's rude, and if she doesn't realize it, I'm not going to deal with it. I'm not here to teach someone how to date or abide by social norms, I'm here to get laid. This is wholly different than sa…

Love Leykis. His advice here? Get up, and walk out. Don't say anything, don't pay for anything, just leave. Leykis' explanation was that you're taking her on a date, so you're probably paying for everything. This means you're paying for her time and attention. Those other people can get it later, but right now, it's your time. Don't act like a chump, walk away. I know at this point, cell phones are so ubiquitous, that I don't mind the occasional text or whatever on a date. But a 5-10 minute conv…

There are a lot of comments here but very little practical advice... but I think I can help. Me, I'm 6'2", so clearly, I don't have this problem. But my closest friend, and best goddamn wingman in the world (tm), is 5'5" (1.65m, so smaller than you), stocky, and a ginger. But the motherfucker pulls tail like you wouldn't believe. "By the way, I have a microscopic penis... wanna go back to my place?" It's a bit up front, but it reeks of overconfidence. Can't stress this one enough. I've used so many variations of it and it always works. I never joke or brag about having a big dick, but always prattle on about how it's "small but mighty," or "three inches, but three inches of thunder." It shows some serious confidence and makes them seriously wonder if you're telling the truth or not, which of course leads them to finding …

I would've probably blatantly sexualized it with something like 'Let me take you to my place and I'll prove otherwise. All night long.' Seems like you're trying a bit too hard there. Spinning it the other way may, however, work. Saying something like "Well then it's going to take a hell of a lot of work for you to get in to my pants!" might work well.

If they actually fit with what you do for a living, then fuck it, try 'em out. May not seem like such an obvious ploy in that case. As for me, however, I stopped using any routine ages ago. They were good confidence builders, but IMHO that's all they are. Kino, escalating, DHV, all that shit is just some seemingly useful formula, but once you get it, well, you get it. I don't really think about any of it anymore. Once you learn how to be comfortable around people it seems to just come naturally,…

Try living in Los Angeles. I've sat and watched countless times as some chump who has just read The Game tries to pick up a girl. It's usually glaringly obvious.

It's possible. For me, it's got nothing to do with attention or wanting everyone to look at me, I just genuinely like meeting new people. Everyone has a story and I want to hear them all. You never know who you're gonna meet, what you'll learn, or what may come of making a connection.

Some of us just like to talk to people, you know. I was on a date a few weeks ago, and the girl I was with left to go to the restroom. There were two other guys, yes, guys, standing near the couches/tables we had sat at, and I just started talking to them. By the time she came back they were both in stitches because of some joke I made, and the four of us chatted away for the remainder of the night. We had a great time. I'll be honest, I'm not big on the PUA shit as most of it seems fairly dishonest, creepy, or plain weird.
