I’m not trying to cherry pick anything, I’m just pointing out some inconsistencies in your reasoning. For example, it’s incredible to me how “gendered violence” is a term, yet “racial violence” isnt. Both are categorizing violence from one statistically more violent demographic to another. Why is it ok to treat men as more violent, (when they are) yet it’s not okay to treat minorities as more violent (which they also are)? I’m not saying we should lean one way or another, the inconsistency just …

You can’t really say that your point is about using stats contextually when your last comment literally starts with “judging by statistics is dumb”. That implies stats are never relevant, ever. Numbers are the whole story. It’s just that they often times are twisted through ignorance or malice to tell a biased story. If you’re willing to examine the stats without bias, the whole story is there for you to find.

I don’t have an opinion on this whole virgin thing but your use of the dogs vs lions analogy is grossly incorrect and shows you don’t understand stats. Dogs only kill people because there are many more dogs. However lions will kill at a much much higher rate per encounter. It’s important to distinguish between absolute and relative statistics. According to a proper use of stats, it is incorrect to switch to lions. Who knew. Men causing crime vs men being on the receiving end of crime is irreleva…

Well your real problem here was not being vulnerable and speaking up about how you had an issue with the way the bills were split.

That explains why you have poor earning power. Quantifying risk and navigating it is a skill you haven’t developed, and you’re unable to navigate any space that’s counterintuitive. Poker has less luck than any other field because in other fields, the factors like race, gender, physical attractiveness, nepotism, and generational wealth play immense roles in success. And those are all luck, which affect you for a lifetime. Your poor understanding of stats prevents you from seeing that it’s impossi…

What? You’re the one that’s not reading what I said. I’m not attacking your work ethic, I don’t know you. I’m saying poker is a space that is 100% work ethic based, and thus I’m making my money totally on my own. Wtf does do and don’t mean? You either do or you don’t. Being cryptic and self contradictory doesn’t mean much if you don’t elaborate. You’re saying it’s impossible to make 6 figures outside of coding or inventing something. I’m saying I make 6 figures doing neither. And you say I’m not…

not in a medical field, but my interpretation is that spending 10+ years in school becoming an expert in a extremely hard to navigate field generates a sense of confidence. i know if i jumped through that many hoops and succeeded i would be incredibly sure of my self and wouldnt take shit from anyone

I never said all jobs were merit only. We were on the same page about that from the beginning, I’m not sure where you’re coming from. Merit is one of the factors but my biggest issue with the corporate world is that it rewards popularity and nepotism more than merit. But that doesn’t mean jobs still don’t pay what the market values. Those are separate things. Popularity and nepotism are values, and it just so happens that our corporate world values those things over merit. Once again, jobs alway…

I literally said life isn’t fair. And I hate nepotism. But nepotism is valued because of trust. A father can generally trust his child more than a stranger, which is why they get hired. It’s absolutely not fair and I hate it. But jobs almost always pay what their value brings, it’s just there’s some value propositions that you’re not seeing. I think all jobs should be purely merit based and I wish nepotism didn’t exist. A profit maximizing economy will always try to get the most bang for their b…

What are you implying? That my parents are giving me money and I’m calling it income? I can tell you what I do, I’m a professional poker player. What I love about poker is that it strips away common excuses for people not making money, ie: having no money, having no connections, or having no education early. I started with $300, and spent 12 hour a day for years in my room running simulations and studying them while living off rice and beans. The only thing holding you back is your work ethic. 9…

You need to know what you’re doing to make money in anything, I’m not sure why you say that like it’s a high bar to pass? And I’m not a programmer, and don’t have any contacts because I hate networking. It feels slimy like I’m trying to make friends with people just to get something. Edit: I just want to add, its not hard to make that money at 22 if you’re a no life workaholic. I’ve personally been pulling 12 hour days since I was 16, and it finally started to pay off about 2 years ago. The down…

Its certainly challenging, but 6 figures in your early 20’s just puts you in the top 1% of earners in your age group. Definitely hard but not impossible. I have a couple friends who are engineers, or software developers, all making 6 figs my age. One software developer who went to work at a quant trading firm makes more than the average doctor. The cherry on top is that I didn’t even graduate university.

Your contribution to society is directly equal to how much you make. If you make more, you contribute more. If you make less, it’s because nobody is willing to value your contribution, because it’s easy to come by or just not worth a lot. The opposite applies to high earners. Wealth alone doesn’t make you worth more as a human being. But it’s one of the factors that contributes. If you’re a trash, mean rich person you’re not worth much as a human. But a kind, generous, wealthy person is worth mo…

That’s faulty logic and shows that you don’t understand the legal system. Not guilty means there wasn’t enough evidence to convict. The woman can be telling the truth and still there can be not guilty if insufficient evidence. To prove the woman guilty there would have to be another trail, to determine she was malicious beyond reasonable doubt

Yeah don’t let this sub gaslight you, I’m extremely for men’s rights and against false accusations but most of these people have no idea how the legal system works. Not guilty means there wasn’t enough evidence to convict. To prove that the woman lied there would have to be another trial, and there would have to be beyond reasonable doubt that she was malicious

Yeah that's what I thought originally, but isn't always asking to do stuff considered being needy? I only text for logistics.

To be honest, a person's spouse just died, it's sad regardless of gender. And plus, a 10k income difference is extremely fair, hardly golddigging or "marrying rich". Not defending this person, 80k plus savings is plenty, they shouldn't be complaining. But there's better examples to prove AWALT. I feel like you may be connecting dots that aren't there to begin with.

I'm in high school right now as well. My advice is to look for people outside of your school. Standards drop dramatically because there's no worry of gossip, or word getting around. In short, everyone is worried about their image, and that goes out the window when you date outside the school. Worked for me :)

Do you explicitly state it's a date, or just get her 1-on-1 and escalate anyways?

Thanks, that really makes sense. Going to a small school, I really hate how I have to see the same people everyday, even though I get along fine with most of them

17 year old here. Are you saying that redpill is difficult/impossible to implement in highschool? I have been trying, but lack of time/money/privacy makes it difficult.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
