This is a dumb argument. People tend to draw conclusions from experience. Taking your word for something that I can see with my own eyes and taking scientists word for something that is a scientific fact are two completely different things.

I think I understand what you are saying. I have definitely continued to love people from afar who were bad for me. I guess love doesn't mean "be in a relationship with" Being in a relationship with someone definitely should be conditional

It does (or should) between a child and parent. A healthy adult relationship isn't and shouldn't be unconditional. It should be conditional on both parties equally getting their needs met, otherwise it would be one sided and therefore a dysfunctional relationship between two adults.

Ok, woman here. I'm not saying these situations that you are depicting don't happen, hell you have lived it, it's a real thing that people have done.
