I wasn't trying to be Mr. Big Dick because I'm buying a condo. I'd rather pay a mortgage than pay rent because of the equity you build in the asset, but it's not the only path to take. For me, TRP and implementing it was all about learning to focus on building my own life the way I see fit and focusing on relationships other than romantic ones. TRP was a philosophy I used it to help build my career, develop myself as a musician, and accomplish my financial goals. The common wisdom is that you haven't really started your adult life until you're married, but forget that.
