there may be some hemming and hawing over the thought of a single father, but there's a substancial bias against gay people raising children. to overlook that fact is to have total MRA tunnel-vision.

I assure you paint and canvas (at least if we're talking anything other than "student acrylics") is not "really cheap" as you say. what it's not is frivolous.

hey! I consider myself a feminist, but my definition seems to differ greatly from popular opinion of what feminism is. basically I realize that just being female puts ideas about me in peoples minds. I would prefer my sex to be a neutral fact, and to be judged on my merit. I would love to have a dialoge about it with you any time. it is hard to find people who both want to talk about it and don't feel victimized one way or another.

I always saw this from the other angle. I didn't understand why smart, pretty, competent women would agree not only to marry these oafs, but to be a housewife. the conclusion I drew what that, ultimately (in these cases), the man is the star of the show, so he gets to be a doof. it's his doofyness that endears him to the audience. so then his wife by default it the straightman, and in the world of sitcoms all mothers of 3 are still smokin'.

it doesn't make it right, it makes everyone uncomfortable. feminism isn't about Team Women getting one over on Team Men, and systems like this are not put into place by matriarchal overlords. it's backlash from former decades when serving women really didn't have adequate rights or resources in alleged rape cases. then shit hits the fan, public figures want to cover their asses, laws are passed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
