I'm ?new here and probably not sticking around; I'm a GC regular who just popped over after what I saw last night. On my bus home, I was sat in front of a couple where the woman was just constantly talking about how she didn't even want to get married and would much rather put money that would go to a wedding towards a deposit on a house together. The dude wasn't even being subtle about (a) not wanting to marry her (b) not wanting to buy a house with her either (c) actively resenting any time sh…

I recommend spending some time on /r/purplepilldebate ...it's not a good sub, but it will show you that they're not open to being talked out of it Anything you say they will reinterpret their way

Pseudoscience, pseudopsychology and sexism that you have fully accepted and integrated into your world view, given your stated views about women?

I agree that he's had career success, up until now; he just doesn't seem to have had the success promised by using TRP. Him resigning will probably do more for him, in terms of getting quietly ushered into some less public / significant but stable job by his current connections, particularly as he is not going to be reprimanded.

Fatass is the one who sold you that worldview; you just didn't know he was a fatass when he did it.

I mean, he doesn't need to be anyone's idol, but he should be a representative end result of his own belief system / improvement program if that belief system actually works. That seems like fairly basic marketing. It's also a little weird that you would diminish someone for providing you with the tools you are choosing to use.

Of course not, but out of all the people who could be representative of how the sub can purportedly change someone, you would expect the creator to be the first example. Or representative at all, which he doesn't appear to be. That the actual creator of the sub didn't manage it, undermines whatever validity the sub may have or appears to have.

If the person who literally started the sub is still as unsuccessful in the sub's stated goals as he is, maybe you should reflect about the effectiveness of TRP.

He's the founder of the sub, not just any commenter.
