"I heard you" really means "yes, I heard you, so just drop it and move on". Didn't you hear? Acknowledgment means AGREEMENT and SUBMISSION. lol

TwoX is a very difficult place to have unorthodox opinions. Chances are you will not be fairly heard out by the majority of the participants (especially their more active members), no matter how civil or polite one's mode of discourse is (and this includes when such civility is hardly justified, given the nastiness of some of the participants.) You literally cannot do ENOUGH to satisfy said people. While I am willing to concede that there is a distance between how men and women generally communi…

Feminists are wrongfully trying to wage a war between the genders. Don't follow suit, MRAs. "Men" don't stop rape and "women" don't stop false accusations. Fuck everyone who upvoted this image. It is not clever. It is not poignant. It is an incendiary distraction. I think you're missing the point. The author of this image clearly does not agree with its phraseology and the hostility of its intentions (as if to portray all women as liars and "potential perjurers".) It is a "mirror image" of an im…

but that doesn't mean I wouldn't equally support a similar campaign to remind young women of the implications of falsely accusing anyone of any serious crime, including rape. While I'm edified to hear that is how you think on the matter, you must know that this is definitely not how most of those who put together the campaign in question (anti-rape) think. They would be deeply offended, and would interpret it as a hostile generalization sucking in all who make rape accusations, if not women in g…

I find some of these anti-rape campaigns off putting, insofar as they collectivize this as a "male problem" rather than a "some males" problem. I have never been inclined, or even so much as tempted to sexually assault anyone. So stop directing these fucking campaigns at me!

I don't think I'd say this is the origin of feminism (especially since historically it has been many things), but certainly the way feminist tropes are presently utilized by many women does seem to be a narrative for avoiding personal responsibility. But to be quite blunt, that is generally a problem with women to begin with - the tendency to "otherize" what in a masculine context would be quickly recognized as a matter of personal morality. I happen to agree that a great deal of the brokeness a…

A lot of feminists - not unlike others engaged in identity politics - have the tendency to think suffering is a "zero sum game". Meaning, if they acknowledge that shit is bad all round (even if in varying ways), that will somehow diminish the power of their advocacy.

We're not polyamorous (which I understand to mean the existence of multiple parallel relationships, even if all are not weighed equally in terms of personal investment), but my spouse and I are what has been called "monogamish." Basically, we swing once in awhile. So while I cannot speak to polyamory (which really isn't our bag), I do have something to say about ethical non-monogamy (within a single stable relationship.) It's usually something that occurs when couples are together for awhile. It…

I talked to my High School guidance counselor about it, and she tried to assure me that not all women are like that. Bust my best friend's mom was cheater, and so far 80% of my girlfriends have found my replacement before dumping me, which I count as cheating. So, I'm feeling pretty defeated now, especially after reading the horror stories in this subreddit. Pro-tip: Date women who are absolutely nothing like your mother. Men often have a tendency (on some level) to look for what they understand…

(Posted here because OP deleted themselves from this post, making direct replies impossible) (from the original article) If sexism keeps women trapped in stereotypical boxes - over-emotional and dependent, with a lower sex drive - it keeps men trapped too: stoic, always in charge, and forever looking to score. It's great that men are now more emotionally engaged with their children, and that women have more options. However, it would have been nice if this article listed the other ways sexism ha…

Relevant article? Quite. I noticed this toward the end of the article... "The next question is why," says Burkley. So in further studies, she plans to further explore women's motives for pursuing "taken" partners. Apart from the explanation of "pre-screening", another possibility, she says, is that in US society, women are socialised to be competitive, so they derive self-esteem by mate poaching from rival women. Possible, but not the case. I do not reside in the USA - same thing here. Though, h…

I had a big debate with two feminist friends of mine, where they claimed that misogyny was the all-pervasive background radiation of our culture, using sex objectification as an example. It's a complex topic. Complicated mainly because aggrieved persons (and parties) have a tendency to get tunnel vision about their problems. They become blind to those of others. And worse yet, they fail to see how a whole host of grievances from distinct segments of society may actually be by-products of more se…

Men, on the other hand, are treated as success objects. They are only valued for their capacity to do, to accomplish, to win, to work. Agreed. I just posted something here of similar sentiment. And that is a great way of putting it too - "success object." While I know it does cause a great deal of anxiety for a lot of women (physical objectification), the truth is at least they are valued somewhat for simply existing. The roots of this - while presently exaggerated - are not entirely matters of …

The truth is that both men and women have long "objectified" one another. While women are certainly not immune from considering personal appearance in desiring/selecting partners, women also tend to be attracted to a whole assortment of character/lifestyle qualities that could also be called a species of "objectification", in that they don't necessarily exist within any moral context (nor are then first seen as mere satellites of one's actual human substance - if anything, that is left in the ba…

A three paragraph tirade that is positively proud of its author's ignorance. "Dem fancy commies with derr purty werdz!" Usury is gain from simply having. The profits of the capitalist are the surplus value of the work of hired employees. Work is the source of value. There is no self evident, natural dynamic requiring the present arrangement - that this is how resources and the means of production must be held. Liberals have tunnel vision on this point. But then again, people once thought outrigh…

Not really. I'm just surprised you are even trying to win me over to your obsolete ideological drivel. Not so much you. These are public forums. Capital is usury - wage labor is slavery 2.0. And the implicit contradictions of liberalism/capitalism are imploding in on themselves. The boom/bust cycle isn't an anomaly, but implicit. And this time, it does not appear there will be an adequate band aid to save it. That "wad" was blown already. People are increasingly aware they're being ripped off. W…

In some respects I hold post Marxist views - insofar as I do not view "the revolution" as necessarily having to rely upon a dedicated vanguard. Quite the contrary - Marx's critique of capital and his views on the emergence of socialism stand somewhat separate from any particular movement. Put another way - socialism will emerge from the contradictions of capital likely at the hands of those who in no way self identify as "Marxists" or even "socialists" proper. It's not about label queenery, but …

2nd wave feminism is itself a Marxist movement, sparked by the heavily Marxist influenced text "The Second Sex" by Simone De Beuvoire. "Second wave" feminism - much like the rest of "the Frankfrut school" - is revisionist and at its heart bourgeois and anti-revolutionary. It's a confused movement, and a markedly different animal that the "first wavers" (who were themselves divided between liberals ultimately interested in class warfare, and those who advocated for women's wellbeing within the gr…

"Patriarchy" is one of many bullshit liberal obfuscations of the real villain (capital.) It's another myth, intended to keep the unwashed masses in line through "divide and conquer." While there is truth in the notion that women have long been "the slaves of the slaves", the "patriarchy dogma* (much like other bullshit identity politics) has served as a means of redirecting anger from where it properly belongs.

"Feminism" is a bourgeois movement that is utterly disinterested in the real villain, capital. Pretty much all of the misery both men and women have faced historically is tied up in the "civilized" dogmas of property and the right of "owners" to exploit labor. If one reads the early radicals, it was known even then that "feminism" is a movement in support of the slighted emotions of privileged females, and not interested in the plight of the common woman (speaking globally now.) Hence why early …

I wouldn't go that far. Zimbardo has some interesting insights in socialization and hierarchy. That said - he's caught up in the dogmas of liberalism (which I speak of in the classical sense - not as a dismissive of progressive values - seeing as my own views fall within the spectrum of radical socialism, rather than anti-revolutionary "Frankfurt" b.s.) Which means he believes in identity politics, rather than the truth that the major part of human misery is the consequence of capital.

"Placebos" have an undeservedly bad name. It is no little thing to manipulate our own minds. Too many people have a conception of the psyche which is naïve. "The will" is not what most imagine (or what cultural forces like conventional religion teach.)

Yeah, Servios' story is not making much sense. Did he date her at one time (but then broke up and he became her emotional tampon), or was he (as you say) just stuck in the friendzone?

I would say that even if he does elect to eventually go have coffee with her, it should not be as an immediate response to a first request on her part. And that is if he chooses to do such. From what OP says about her behavior, I am not even sure if there is a point. There are a lot of women who hate being the bad guy, and cannot live with being dumped. I have seen plenty of situations like this (and had it happen to me once as a younger man), where the dumpee pushes to reconcile, only so they c…

Don't worry about texting. If anything, it has certain advantages (allows you to be brief but not rude, and helps if you're kind of nervous.) You could suggest a time and date. Say "We should go (wherever/whatever.) How does (whatever time/date) sound?", or something like this. In the end, either will work. One possible reason I may choose my original approach, is simply to keep that "no" word as far away from their mind and lips as possible. Not "no" as in "no I don't want to see you", but "no"…

"Hi (name) - I enjoyed meeting you (whenever, at wherever.) We should go (wherever you want to take her). Let me know when you're available, so I can make space in my schedule." ...or words to that effect. It is a text after all...you can be excused for being brief (aside from the fact I'd keep it almost as simple if it were an e-mail).

What you wrote was fine (the keep it simple version.) Even if you don't at all feel "natural", do your best to make it see that way. lol If it sounds too schmoozy...well, that'll work on the retards, but you don't want to sound like a used car salesman. Not that I'm encouraging you to constantly over-estimate your "prey". Women do respond to ridiculous, saccharine, "over the top" flattery as well...just don't dole it out too frequently.
/r/seduction06/02/12 05:04 PM

That could work. Just be firm in your suggestion. While it is obviously their choice to see you again (or not), stay away from being too limp. The closer it sounds like a gentle command (while never quite crossing into sounding bossy), the better. IOW what you suggest should have a tone of inevitability to it.

I'm not overly familiar with the lingo associated with the seduction/pua type scene...I really only take a passing interest in it. But what I can say, based on experience, is you should play it more casual than not. I would say your simpler response would be better. And stay away from boosting girl A's "skills". Praise is something to be earned, and valued. Don't turn it into a cheap commodity. Nor appear over eager either. So yeah...just tell them you enjoyed meeting them and would like to hang…

Asked her for a bite and, in my infinite wisdom, chomped a bite directly from the fork she held in her hand. Needless to say she was less than thrilled. Are you sure she was "giving you the look" or wondering "why the fuck is this guy staring at me"? I ask, b/c if a woman is willing to suck face, she probably won't care about you eating off her fork.

You're probably okay. STD rates are often inflated, especially for straight men. That said, even if you have one of the more virulent forms of herpes, it is not the end of the world. With proper medication, stress management, etc your outbreaks will be few (and it is during outbreaks that people become contagious.)

I'm a fair and quite egalitarian person - but "white knights" repulse me. Especially when they lay it on thick to win the sexual favor of women (a strategy that rarely results in anything, as most women resent these "nice guy" qualities in lovers...especially if they're like the whacked out broads mentioned in the article.)

Clearly you've never dipped your wick in crazy. While they're not the majority of women, crazies who roughly fit these categories are certainly out there. And as toxic as they are, it's not a secret to many guys that these women often are down for casual sex, and that their special forms of mania and delusion contribute to this.

I wasn't under the impression this article was talking about all women. I believe it at least strongly implies the opposite by stating that these are not the type of women to attempt a long term relationship with (which would mean there are women who one could form such a bond with.) I also think it's a given that those who really need this forum are guys who in some respect are socially maladjusted or suffer from crippling shyness. I'm not sure who disputes this, including most of the subs here…

Those numbers sound crazy low. And that's considering the median, not the extremes. I also happen to know that both men and women tend to fudge (or outright lie) when estimating sexual partners (though in opposing directions.)

Actually, it appears he was angling to hook up - but would settle for a number. It also appears he went to a club/bar to meet women. If you're unambiguously looking for something a little more substantial than hooking up, going to a bar is all wrong. Can it happen? Sure. Is it likely? Not really. If you're looking to award (possible) MRS Degrees, probably anywhere else would be better.

Part of it (also) is that Jews (even non-religious ones) are quite "ethnically conscious" and put a premium on marrying another Jew. Of course, if it's just to bump uglies, even "good Jewish girls" don't mind having non-kosher sausage tossed their way.
/r/seduction17/12/11 10:57 PM

I am not trying to be a dick - but if your goal was to hook-up (and maybe "see what happens"), then you didn't come on strong enough. When you're on the prowl, you have to be single-minded. You're out to get laid. Maybe end up meeting someone who turns out to be "long term." But truth be told - if you're looking for a "potential wife" of sorts, going to clubs to pick up chicks is a crappy idea. You'd be better taking a yoga class, or hanging out in a bookstore, etc. Part of being "single-minded"…

Some good constructive criticism here brother. Good stuff. It really is important to set the right tone in seducing a potential lover. Most women operate according to some (to men) strange basic rules, which go back to our pre-civilized roots. Our species emerged as fierce/clever apes, whose sexual mores stood somewhere between the chimpanzee and the bonobo (our closest existing relatives.) "Meeting chicks" is fundamentally a mating exercise. Yes, humans do form long term bonds. But we are also …

I think later on in an established relationship, the "planting of markers" doesn't occur as much. And of course, forgetfulness is quite human, so things if forgotten then tend to just be matters of human error. But earlier, while dating, and nothing "exclusive" has been promised - I think such gestures are often quite intentional.
/r/seduction08/12/11 04:52 PM
15

The funny thing about this strategy (of placing markers) is that unless the other women one is involved with have been promised monogamy, having signs of "previous female selection" all over the place actually raises your stock with other women. So yeah - let them leave their little claw marks all over the place...
