Because it is. Discrimination isn't a 4 letter word. We have begun to treat it as always bad, when it is almost always good. Only in a few cases, like discriminating upon false stereotypes based on race/sex is it bad. But we are now living in a world where any discrimination is seen as wrong, if it hurts certain groups (if it only hurts men, discriminate away).

That is definitely how the laws have been written. Feminism is about female supremacy. No, that isn't how it works. Willingly and intentionally refers to the act of sending the pictures, not of knowing they are a minor. Accidentally send nude picture to a minor? Not a crime (if the court believes it was accidental). Purposefully send nude pictures to someone who turns out to be a minor? It is a crime, even if you weren't aware they were a minor.

There was likely clear proof of the crime and he was clearly guilty of it. Even a good lawyer can only do so much. The real problem is the concept of strict liability for underage sex crimes. That needs to be undone, because as it stands, it doesn't matter if the lawyer proved to the judge that he thought she was 20.

I wouldn't link to wikipedia. They have extreme bias on this topic. Linking to the study would be better, especially if one can find the scientific criticisms of it. Hell, even for the kelly study their actual number is 22% listed on wikipedia. And another quote from the same page. The study was based on 2,643 sexual assault cases (Kelly, Lovett, and Regan, 2005). Of these, police departments classified 8% as false reports.

Legally speaking, a slap on the wrist is no justified. The law says she was unable to consent but he was (due him being 14 which was covered under Romeo and Juliet laws), and as such the act of sex between them was him legally raping her. A slap on the wrist for rape does not make sense. The root of the problem is the law itself retroactively removing consent.

The only solution is to end child support. Given women have the only say in if a child is born, they should have to support the child themselves. So what will likely happen is that you'll see men picking up the slack but then not being rewarded as well for it (managers who aren't complete SJW idiots will still reward the men who pick up the slack more, but it will in no way compensate them for how much more work they put in, like getting a 3% raise for putting in 25% more hours). One thing to remember is that you'll never see it because if you see a 12 year old who looks 18, you'll just label them as 18 and never know better. There is at least one case where a girl got a legitimate ID from the government that had her wrong age on it, and used it to have sex (was a porn shoot I think). Even though they kept records of her providing proof of being 18, the guy was still charged because she was too young to consent and her having an id and lying about it does not count as consent. Yes, the average 12 year old girl is easy to tell as being very young, but take a 12 year old girl who is further developed than 95% of her peers, who also knows how to dress and use makeup to look older, and she can easily pass for 16 which is the legal age of consent in most of the US.
