Has anyone ever noticed that eating low cal-low carb diets make you barely able to survive? You get brain fog, you can't focus on work, sometimes you can't even react when somebody's mean to you because you're trying to juggle all your responsibilities AND lose weight to impossible standards. Your body is desperately trying to conserve energy for vital things, so you can't be your full & best self. You UNDERFEED what you don't want to grow, what you do don't want to end up causing problems. Patr…

Love this! I was just thinking about defining our expectation of a HVM: "By HVM, do we just mean a people pleaser?". You put it into perspective for me. Agreeableness on a healthy level is not people pleasing, or lack of self respect. Thank you.

3 months sounds fishy, like he's in a relationship or a break and he's waiting for his situation to finalize? Idk.

I'm sorry that happened to you. It's not our fault that our needs were not met as children. On the bright side, you always shine brighter when you come out of a dark time like that. I'm always like "Bitch I've been THERE, and I survived it. This can't hurt me".

I feel you. You are not alone. I basically devoted my 20s into healing and improving. And there's still A LOT to unpack, especially about the childhood wounds. hugs

Men never say "but she has basic decency so maybe I should give her my time/energy/heart/commitment". Nope never.

Men end it because "she started acting crazy", "she was too much". Gee, I wonder who brought out the "crazy".

I had to log in to an old email account today. Saw my 5+ years old messages back and forth with this fuckboi I was obsessed with for years and years. He was always what he was. I was the one who was blind. It wasn't just desperation or being a pickme. It was denial. I was such a stranger to myself, my inner voice, my intuition. I was not able to see what was right in front of my face. I am SO in love with the woman I became. I am 30 right now, and would not trade it for any of my 20s. It was a l…

This! Don't be so hard on yourself OP, you were not equipped with the right tools to choose anything else.

I had an ex who said "hey I'm an expert at removing makeup, don't you think?" with a grin on his face after a make out session, because I apologised I got it all over his shirt and lips. Another ex was like "aww" when he found my foundation smudge on his t-shirt the day after our date, because it reminded him of me. Even this fuckboi I only saw once was like "oops I removed your makeup, guess you'll have to re-do it". Not ONE complained. None of these were HVM, but this is the high value way to …

Huge fan of Shallon here, I really appreciate the way she packages these things to make sense. I had noticed this a few years ago when my "criteria" for men was just a 10 pages long list of what I wish I had achieved myself. That's when I stopped dating and started focusing on myself.

Ladies, I've never been on a walking date before - but until FDS I had thought it would be a good idea. I'm VERY anxious on dates, especially the first few ones. I end up talking a lot out of panic, which is very detrimental. I feel like the fresh air and movement would help ground me. Is it still a no-no? What're your opinions?

RANT: Just realised that BARE MINIMUM ACTIVATES MY ATTACHMENT SYSTEM. Gah. I've been working on understanding and healing my attachment and self-love issues for so long. Intellectually, I know what's happening. It's chemical and it's related to my "incorrect" upbringing. I'm so in my center until I start liking someone. Then I fall into this spiral. The trap of oversharing. Fantasising. "BuT He'S sO niCE tO Me!". Fuck that pickme bullshit. Then blaming myself for losing the edge. I've been throu…

IMO, FDS is about tough love and clear boundaries. It should stay that way. Accepting the cold, hard, agonising truth. I love that about FDS. Sure, everything is circumstantial, but what's important is the RULES. People need to remember that they are probably NOT an exception to the rule. This sub is teaching women NOT TO BEND. We are rewiring existing conditioning. We should also not bend here, even if it will make us seem unwelcoming to some. If you are not ready for this information, you are …

I would have ghosted/blocked him right after he uttered "hard to get". I have a pet peeve for writing paragraphs to explain myself when they reveal themselves to be dicks, I simply won't. He's not entitled to an explanation. Good riddance.

So much yes. I loved every word of this. I feel like every woman needs to hear this. Thank you.
