I hear you. It's helped me though, so there is hope I guess.

Started taking Buproprion (150mg) two months after she moved out. I was an emotional dumpster fire before it. It doesn’t make anything better, and it doesn’t make me a zombie. So I still feel everything and have to process it. But it helps me stay focused and functional for my kids.

Same with a lot of my bills. It’s pretty sick. Haha

I’m still in the early stages of this shitshow, but I have been where you are (and am still, in a way). The best thing I can say is just start. Getting out of the house is a start. If even to the grocery store or gas station to just walk around near people. Just get out. Pick a state road and just drive until you end up somewhere. Getting out of the “retreat mode” is hard but is important. And make sure you do it at least a few times a week if not everyday. Just keep up with it.

Solid advice. She didn’t do this for you. She did it for whoever would look. You were just in the crossfire. Find yourself. Then find someone who respects him.

This is the worst part. Worse than you missing her. Worse than whatever is going on. Focus on your projects. It keeps your mind from wandering and keeps your hands busy and away from vice and shallow bandages. And spend the time working on yourself, with a promise of always being there for the kids when they get back.

The Obstacle is the Way is helping me a lot. Stoicism helps keep me grounded and reminds me what is really important.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
