I really don't give a damn what feminists do on feminist boards. This isn't about them. This is about us and the message that we spread and the impact that our message has on mens rights and the future of this movement. Yes, this is partially about politics and playing politics. It sucks but it is the reality of the world we live in. I think that you may be involved in mens rights for the wrong reasons and do not realize that in something like this you need to take a pragmatic longer term few on…

And sadly it's the bitching that others pick up on. It's the bitching that our "feminist" friends focus on. I understand it on reddit and accept that Redford anonymity allows for and encourages it but wish some of the more mainstream men's rights sites policed the angry speech more.

I agree and disagree. It warrants discussion to a degree but not the attention it has gotten. You can't hit back at these people tit for tat especially when you know that they are hoping that we will. You don't fight a war with tit for tat. Hearts and minds.

It's focus in the wrong things. It doesn't help with men's rights. Comes off just as petty and shrill as the other side. Frankly it alienates many men. Look, there is a lot of cause and reason to be angry. The crap I have been through personally from divorce to custody issues to BS restraining order.... I have earned the right to be pissed. My point is that we need to behave better than the other side. We need to be smarter than the other side. We need to be perceived ad "better". Fixating on st…

No. It's a bullshit argument. It looks to deflect and place blame. To create blame even.

Yep. Give her/them what they want. More attention.

Thats just idiotic. Because we learn how to behave from just men or women?

No, no we shouldn't.

Sounds like she has a victim mentality

OK, So this again shows what we know. Some "feminists" behave badly, well very badly. Really not relevant enough to be on mens rights.

Reading through the article it appears that school administrators not only covered up the assault but attempted to punish the victim. Seems typical of the response when men are the victims.

I used to mostly lurk and very infrequently logged in but ever since that sub became a default I started logging in so that I don't have to suffer the dribble in my feed. Some of the stuff on it is decent and some folks ask seriously and important questions but it gets lost in the crap.

It isn't easy and it sounds the the deck has not been stacked in your favor. My last fall back was getting a roommate at a cheaper place and that might be the next step. You being in a stable living situation sounds like its key so that should a time come when you get your kid full time you can.

I am not sure how things are in California I was in a similar situation here. I downgraded from a one bedroom apartment to a studio apartment because I was just squeaking by and if i didn't downgrade I was going to find myself potentially homeless. By downgrading I am still squeaking by but I have a stable place of my own and while its cramped its a safe and nurturing environment for my little one.

I have a relationship with my child and my child has a relationship with me. My child has a concerned, responsible and involved farther which is something that is becoming a rare commodity in this day and age. My ex has made custody about her, her ego, and punishing me for perceived wrongs when what should be of primary importance is our kid. I bide my time, I build my case, I document everything.... I keep a log book... every time she lies, every time she doesn't comply with a request, withhold…

Cowards and hate mongers who behave abhorrently and hide behind the anonymity of the intenret. Small minds who one day wake up realize that the only contribution they have ever made to the world has been spreading hate and ignorance.

Also, good luck kid. This isn't an easy situation and I am sure you are getting a lot of advice both good and bad.

Whats sad and I am sure others notice that posts telling this poor kid to go to the cops to protect himself gets down voted.

Yeah man. For your own safety and protection. I didn't go to the cops when my ex hit me and later on she said I hit her and I got in trouble.

And there are only two articles.... Not enough to make a compelling argument.

This article coming from someone who is barely qualified to comment. I have spent 22k in the last 12 months on custody issues and my son is almost a year old. With the system stacked against men it's so hard to fight for your rights. 22k just on my side. I have begged and borrowed every penny I can and I will never stop fighting for my son. Never.
