Exactly, there have been studies that many women physicians desire to stop working and tend to go part time if at all once they start having children. When I researched it years ago it cost the government around 1,000,000£ to train a doctor in the NHS. To get the value of one male doctor you need to train 2-3 female doctors which will focus on general practice or pediatrics. Less likely to be surgeons or specialists.
