It had to do with some other responses on here. Agree that there are plenty of good individuals who have been cheated on and didn’t deserve that. If that is you, it will take awhile to trust again but you will feel those loving feelings again. Some of the responses from others seem to be coming from those who didn’t bounce back and close themselves off to love. Just some thoughts.

Best advice~ Don’t become bitter. Some men who remain single likely are in the closet. Not natural to be single for long periods without a steady partner. If so, they are either hiding behind their “kid”, using excuses like I love my freedom or they could be narcs who simply only think of themselves and can’t share their lives, or have intimacy issues. Who knows but don’t stay on the bitter train. Most well rounded healthy individuals have a full life to share or want to share.

Explain how it’s it more risky for men?

Why because it’s so common? Haha. Not even close.

Exactly. If someone told me they had several divorces, that is what we call red flag and shame on me for falling for it. The good and bad are really not that hard to identify.

Sounds like this has less to do with her and more to do with the men. Facts.

Have you considered your contribution to the discord? Is there anything you can do to make it better? Not suggesting you have to take abuse but being a single parent is very difficult. Dating is not easy, balancing a job, finances, dating etc is hard on you and the child. Just be certain you have exhausted all efforts before leaving the commitment you made.

This second person cheated? If so, why are you feeling guilty? Sorry a bit confused. In your post you state you just aren’t compatible (square peg round hole). Regardless, stop fooling yourself and don’t make a commitment unless you are fully committed .

People need to do a gut check before marriage and ask themselves- Am I selfish? Nothing wrong with it, if the answer is yes. At least you’re self aware. Not saying you are selfish, but many get married and they just want to live alone, typing to strangers on Reddit, living a solidarity existence that is all about what makes them happy and their needs. These types should skip marriage all together. If dating, be upfront about what/who you are. It would save everyone money, time and heartache. It …

How many times were you married? Some take the whole process too cavalierly. Lessons learned after the first failure? Enough lessons that would give you pause the next time around- like maybe you should stay single if you can’t stay committed or you don’t know the person well enough to know if you peg/round hole. You would be saving yourself and others a lot of unnecessary heart ache. Is there someone else?

Happiness is an inside job. The couples I know who have been married a long time are happy and fulfilled individuals- they aren’t looking for someone to make them happy or improve their life. You have to do the internal work. We live in a disposable society. Gd luck

The harsh reality is some innocent individuals will get wrapped up with selfish, self serving mates. You know the ones that are fake without detection. They don’t take accountability. Inside themselves it’s a horror show but they don’t reveal that of course. They are the ones who are avoidant, have intimacy issues and in no way should be dating let alone married. I was with one, never detected until after a few months of marriage. It felt like a monumental failure at the time. Now I feel complet…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
