Seeing my mum manipulate my dad into moving out of the house he designed, yet getting him to pay for it, pay for me to go to school, and then only allow him to see me when she wanted to do something. He wanted a divorce but knew if he did it officially she would take him to court and fuck him over even more financially. As I grew up I saw more and more in my life that my mum wasn't an isolated thing and other women abuse the power of the courts all the time.

To me this reads as she is bored and looking to kill some time. You fulfill that for her, probably make her feel attractive and wanted as you do it. Money doesn't equal freedom if your cost of living is equal to or higher than your income. Freedom for the majority is a combination of living like you're poor, earning like you're rich and putting the extra money to work for you. Having 2 months of money saved up gives you no hesitation in walking up to a shitty situation in work and doing something about it. I talk to zero people from my highschool, and maybe 1 or 2 from uni. My best friends came from travelling and embracing my true life. I now have a friend I would almost call my brother. Sometimes people find like minded people at school, othertimes you need to go out and find those people in the world. My life started changing for me at 25, I'm 28 now, so don't stress about your age. I suffer social anxiety to this day, but each year it is easier to push through those thoughts

Guys will buy girls drinks all the time. Used to go clubbing with these 2 girls, HB 4-5 maybe, that I worked with. They would buy their first drink and then every drink after that a guy would buy them. Every night they would go home drunk as, very rarely with a guy. I made a goal for my self. "If I can do it drunk I can do it sober". Started picking certain things I liked about drunk me and focused on them next time I went out sober. It took a little while but now I can go out without drinking and have almost no issue.
