I hope it consoles you to know that, just two years ago, I was under suicide watch by the VA for how much sorrow I felt. Today, exactly two years later to the day, I have a better job, a better relationship with my kids, vastly more money, I've done things I never would have, I have more friends, and overall I really am so much happier. You will be me one day, because we've all been you. Give yourself time to process this. You will come out better than you think.

Thank you for your advocacy. The way we are thrown in the garbage so often when our wives are done with us is just wrong and the world doesn't seem to care. We're human beings who love our children too.

After four weeks, the worst days I was hitting 100% and my best days were around 60% stressful. After a year, My worst days were probably 60% and my best were 20%. After two years, the stressful days are less frequent and only ever hit at about a 30% intensity. It comes and goes in waves. You'll find yourself crying after years of being at peace. You'll find yourself at peace at times in the upcoming weeks when you should be devastated. Just always remember that it got better before, and it will…

It really was. Two years ago this week she left. My monthly income and net worth have quadrupled, I have been sky diving, bungee jumping, I went to El Salvador on a mission trip, I have bonded with my kids in ways I never could have. I have slept with more women, I have made more friends, I have slept better and I get more time to do what I want to do. That being said, I miss hugs.

Yeah, sounds like she's just being a traditional bitch with no regard for your time. Two can play at that game, though. For every minute he's not in your car past the designated pick up time, add that minute to the back end of your custody time. He got in the car 30-minutes late? You're getting him back 30-minutes late. That's what stopped my ex from being extremely late to pick ups. And the best part for me was, my ex moved three hours away and our meeting place is 2 hours from her. She would g…

Just be careful. She sounds like the type who would happily sue you for defamation of character. Make sure to use pseudonyms for plausible deniability.

If she gets a good enough lawyer, she won't be reasonable. Women are highly suggestible to selfish recommendations. They thrive in the drama, so having a cut and dry enemy to destroy is a game for them.

Totally worth it. You'll save that in interest in a matter of months. I got a 2.65% as well! I was just fortunate that my ex wasn't working at the time and had shit credit, so I didn't add her name to the mortgage.

It took me a while. I wasn't ready to accept that she wasn't coming back. Then, in one of my episodes of rage, I threw it and it broke in half. Cheap tungsten ring from amazon, lol. My 3yo daughter later found the pieces, put one on top of the other and said, "Daddy look, it's a rainbow!" That moment was kind of profound for me, because I view the rainbow as a promise of peace after the storm.

No one cares. We've created a society of people that are terrified to offend women, minorities, etc. Saying anything negative or harmful to women is a suicide mission.

Interesting they aren't making you refinance altogether.

Brother we are the same. I am so much better off, even after she pulled the rug, cheated, and nuked the family. I'm still so lonely though. I think finding someone to love you after being treated like you're worthless is an important part of healing.

I wasn't allowed to close our joint account without her because her name was on it, but I was allowed to drain it and open a new one without her name on it. It didn't necessarily look good but it didn't hurt me either. Judge just ordered that the funds be held in trust until judgement. Kept my ex from stealing it.

Her lawyer will have to draft a response within 30 days, usually. If she fails to, you will likely get a default judgement that does not favor her. Expect war and casualties. You will not be the same man in a few years you are now.

This and when I get a text from Casenet alerting me of a new entry. It has honestly ruined me. I had to subscribe to a service that will constantly refresh the page and alert me instantly of anything new just so I wasn't constantly thinking there might be new info. I just so happened to be obsessively spamming F5 when the court uploaded our judgement and parenting plan. I knew before even my lawyer did. She was confused when I called her.

Say it louder for the guys in the back. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE. YOU ARE NOT THE EXCEPTION.

What it seems to do is force judges to carefully justify any judgement other than 50/50 time. In my case, Mom abandoned all of us outright, so I got full custody anyway, but it's ridiculous that it has taken this long for anyone to consider men to be equals in parenting.

Some judges will factor in infidelity when considering alimony, or at least that's the rumor.

Missouri. Governor Parson signed Missouri SB35 into law last year that states "There shall be a rebuttable presumption that an award of equal or approximately equal parenting time to each parent is in the best interests of the child." I'm good because this didn't apply to my divorce. Ex abandoned the kids and didn't want them. I got full custody. I'm just mad it took till 2023 for this to become a law.

Right. Men are tools to them. Nothing but cocks with wallets.

Frankly, I blame society. Culture has taught women to be independent and bossy, especially toward men. Despite also hating each other, women love to tell each other to get divorced. They don't feel love toward partners anymore. They only love resources.

Same, but my kids were 3 and 1, She abandoned her one year old son. He doesn't even know her. Her loss, honestly. He's the most amazing kid ever.

I learned real quick to take over all finances. In our first year of marriage, she defaulted on her student loans. She didn't even know she had them at all.

Hahaha I had the same thing happen! When I won primary custody, I heard through the grapevine that she was "considering all options" so I bought a gun for self defense (despite being half my size, her AP is a violent felon.) When my kids told her about it, she brought it up at the next custody exchange and said she knew I did and she'd already told everyone so I'd be the top suspect. I told her not to worry about the gun because I'd rather go slow and enjoy it anyway.

• Have money. • Do whatever the fuck I want all the time. • Sleep with whoever I want • Buy whatever I want • Not buy whatever I don't want to buy (this is a big one) • Raise my kids the way I believe is right without being undermined constantly. • Have friends.

You don't cope. You just get to where the pain is drowned out by more current emotions and you eventually stop wasting energy on it. It's like everything else in life. You just kind of become immune to it more and more as time goes by. No one is "meant to be." Even as a Christian myself, I believe that God gave us free will and He doesn't interfere with things like this. My wife and I were as close to soulmates as any two people can be. She still got bored at 7 years, met someone who felt more e…

It sucks to have to make such a blanket statement, but that really does seem to be the case.

Honestly, despite the laws in place, the judge gets final say. Family court is not a court of law. The judge is the jury. If they want to factor in a settlement you received 'during the marriage' they will.

A friends of mine never even told her husband. She just filed and let the process server drop that ball.
