There are a lot of fish in the sea, and they are not all sharks and jellyfish. The red pill for men is an entirely different creature than it is for women. Because men's challenge in dating is very different than women's. For men, it is how to get any woman to interact and be interested in me. Followed by the dual paths of sex or relationship. So it is going to tend to draw men struggling with those factors. Who are often not happy men. It has many rules and much jargon, and tries to simplify re…

I think you are on to something, but I would state it more like this: These "liberal" men aren't secretly conservative. They're politically agnostic except for adopting what they think and hope might get them laid. They're smart enough to realize that women tend liberal as a gender, so they pretend that. It's like a teen boy signing up for a gender studies class because they'll be a ton of girls and they'll totally buy that he's into it.

From the older male perspective, the pitfalls I see for young women are mostly in vetting and attitude. We have created a culture that benefits neither young women nor young men if we follow its modern male/feminist criteria. What we currently have is a system that proposes to elevate the female by her superseding the male. This is mostly focused on economic metrics, which may well be of benefit to employers - by keeping wages low. But it teaches women that not only can they not rely on a man - …

We met at 19 (her) and 23 (me) and dated for about 7 years. Have been married over a decade now. I was unsure about marriage in general so resisted a bit, but she won me over in the end. If I were to do it again, I'd marry her sooner. But on the other hand, there were no doubts when we did it. And I wanted to get it right.

This is the answer. Can confirm it from the other side. When I was in my 20s I was attractive and accomplished enough to stand out from my peers. So dating was easy and fun, and I did a lot of it. A woman who was seeking exclusivity and immediate commitment and relationship building was just not a great fit for me then. But out of all that I selected a wife who was a good girl to her core and a perfect fit for me. And we've been married over a decade. I can't imagine not being with her.

Appreciate the writing on this. Both for the excellent advice and also as a window into another world and culture. I find female doctors attractive as a profession because it checks that caring and nurturing box for me. That and intelligence and competence. I can also somewhat appreciate the weight of responsibility they carry, being former military and now a farmer. There is no one but me to lay my failures on, and they can be heavy. Much appreciation for what you do and best luck in finding a …

The thing about goals is that they have a much better chance of coming to fruition if you take care of the preliminaries. Your goal to be married with kids as admirable. But you need to do the things that make you a desirable woman for a good man to want to partner with for the long term. A young woman who drops out of school and appears to men to have no ambitions beyond attaching herself to them comes across entirely differently than one who is developing and improving herself. Marriage is but…

Some of this is young cockiness that will probably mellow with age some. I'd put the non apologizing and alpha male bits in that category. I knew a lot at 23, for my age. I'd been around the world and faced death and had overcome every challenge that I had ever taken on. I could fly airplanes, and jump out of them, and lead men, and speak another language. But I didn't know a whole lot about a vast array of other skills and trades and life I've learned since then. I didn't know what I didn't kno…

This is a good point, or counterpoint as it may be. There are a whole lot of professions that adults do and are perfectly content with that they probably didn't dream about when they were children. And for someone with a mature mindset and curiosity, they can make a lot of things work and find satisfaction in them. That's a great quality of human nature. But I also would try to find the middle ground in between telling young people to follow their dreams absolutely (which may be unrealistic or u…

My wife and I were both engineers in different fields. I didn't in the least choose her because of that, and it's irrelevant now because she stays home with kids and helps me run our business. I chose her because she is beautiful and sweet, a dedicated and good girl to her core, and we make a great team. We have some experience with the somewhat warped perception of women in STEM from both sides of it. What you see online is frequently overhyped and not true of what people are actually experienc…

With attraction, these things fall into groups. You will find men who are attracted to every body type, but there are going to be trends. From a life of hearing men talk about women I would group them thus: Men who will accept any body type for various reasons. Men who prefer the bombshell or curvy type. Men who prefer athletic girls. Men who prefer somewhat overweight women. And men who prefer petite/skinny girls. I have a bias as I strongly prefer the latter category which is the one you fall …

I'm a man who worked as a mechanical engineer and although I have a strong bias towards "engineer thinking" in how I approach life - that does not at all apply to my preferences in a female partner. ROI is not the only factor in choosing a profession. You must also want to be there. I became an engineer because I love machinery, and the math, physics etc were things I had to get through in order to do what is fascinating to me. If the idea of happily sketching and daydreaming about and calculati…

There's several parts to this: One, he was likely way out of line. In most social contexts, but particularly a religious one, it should not have been a man telling you you're dressed too sexy. Why was there not a woman talking to you about this if it were an issue? If I were a man leading this group and felt it was an issue I would have asked a woman member what she thought and had her address it if an issue. This guy feels off. Second- if it's perceived as too immodest, then it probably is. Reg…

This is the answer. A reasonable middle ground that allows self and partner discovery. The focus on sex timing needs to be on when is best to facilitate the kind of relationship OP wants and can realistically achieve. Here I feel it's being used as a barrier to cover past hurts.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
