Ah, but whenever I've tried that I get the whole "big picture, you're the generally privileged class so any examples of discrimination against you are the result of your own patriarchy" and all that. For instance, pointing out that divorce law is primarily written by white men, in other words, it's not feminism's problem and can't be brought up in a debate about equal rights. The quote is, in fact, from an episode of Yes Minister. I think it's the one where he's asked to choose a new bishop for …

I'd also say I regard this not only as cruelty to her brother but also as child cruelty to her daughter - I can't imagine how that little girl is going to grow up without a horribly warped sense of how to relate to guys after being brainwashed like this. She will quite possibly, through absolutely no fault of her own, grow up to be a self entitled feminazi. She's been taught from a very young age that if a guy pisses her off, accusing him of sex crimes is the best way to deal with him. Literally…

I find comment threads on news articles about male contraceptive advancements very eye opening in…

Sorry this is slightly off topic, but as an Irish person in an (I assume) subreddit which doesn't have a large Irish population, rape laws in Ireland are an absolute disgrace. Did you know that if two underaged teenagers have sex, Irish law grants the girl automatic immunity from criminal liability for statutory rape? So the law says, in a more long winded manner, that if two teenagers have sex, the girl is an angelic innocent victim while the boy is a monstrous predator who should be marked for…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
