6	How do I change the topic when people ask what I do for a living? You don't have to go into detail, just give a short description that makes it sound interesting or exciting in some way. You can always turn it around and make it sound cool. Be enthusiastic. For example, if you study neuroscience: "I do research on the human mind." If you do astrophysics, hell that already sounds cool. Just say you're a researcher in astrophysics. 1	OUTER GAME: How To Escalate On A Date I've heard many girls say they prefer going to the guy's place, because they can easily escape or leave if they have to and not worry about having to kick the guy out, or worry about safety/stalker issues.
