You’re passionate. It’s cool. Just probably not the sub to go into guns ablazing, they’re a lil uptight hahah

Not to be cynical, but given the way you’ve commented above I wouldn’t be surprised if the wording was a lil vitriolic. Though that being said, I’ve argued w plenty of people on that sub 🤷‍♀️ it’s whatever, it’s the internet. Just because one considers themselves a feminist doesn’t mean they’re logical or efficient at discussions. Just like any political movement, You’ve those who are more extreme, those who subscribe to old ways of thinking, blah blah blah

Yeah, but you gotta understand that you’re just one of the many guys going in there and posting about that stuff. It can get a little tiresome for women to have to rehash the same arguments over and over. I would say, for questions like those anyway, that some general reading on the internet or of past times the questions have been posted would be a good place to start. If you truly do want to have a level headed discussion on those topics I would be happy to engage in the morning

Yeah, I guess. To be honest your comments seem quite emotionally charged to me, but perhaps that’s just the way I’m reading it. Still, going to r/feminists to argue sounds like you were trying to convince yourself how terrible they, you know? I don’t always agree with what I read on mensrights, but i like to know the trains of thought without judging too harshly

Oh damn, I’m sorry you feel that way. Seems a bit much to lump every feminist in as one, #notallmen etc, but I’m sure you’ve your reasons

Something is telling me.... that you are a feminist and you’re upset because she’s not representing the cause well?

Mm, i’d ask you to link me, but then I’d have to watch Schumer. Don’t really think any of those descriptions relate to being a feminist. A fanatic maybe.

She’s a hardcore feminist? Hunh, I’ve never really seen her describe herself as such. Definitely confused over the second bit though, wouldn’t you have to know a woman personally to know that?

Dno why you’re putting feminists in there, humourless definitely....

Agreed, they're very talented. It will be next Tuesday from 7pm onwards at Bootlegger L'Authentique, downtown Montreal. They're uploaded afterwards as well! Their last video was Whether Rape Jokes Are Okay

Considering some people don't get life for murder I don't think it's realistic to expect either sex be condemned for life. Not really a matter of male / female for me.

Jesus, female checking in here, but that is absolutely barbaric. She should be away for close to life. I’m disgusted.

If you are actually female I am so, so disappointed. I think you would do well to do some reading on the history of feminism rather than try and focus on western, contemporary, extremist feminism. And even moreso - to think beyond your own small bubble to the women across the world who do not have access to the same rights and opportunities as you. Eugh, I really just cant begin to comprehend the stupidity of this photo. You look like a poorly educated suck-up

Huh, just saw this. This is far more understandable than the usually hatred that seems to spout from /mensrights. You're very correct. There SHOULD be a recognition that some special interest groups are focused on battles that would result in greater privileges for women. I personally find the sexism rampant in child custody battles that seem to consistently favour the mother as deplorable. However, I would hope that you would be able to differentiate between these 'special interest groups' and …

Did I reply to this? I'm unsure. I can't be bothered to argue I'll be honest, but I am curious, what would you wish to see? The end of the feminist movement? Genuinely interested.

I don't even remember talking to you... Man, you're an angry one, heh heh. Someone's a special snowflake aren't they, hahah

Wow, you're quite volatile aren't you. Look, I'm really not all that bothered about arguing with a boy over the internet about a subject he's obviously absolutely set in opinion about. And I'm sorry for disregarding your points, but that is mostly because they are points, not facts, and too focused on the us. I hope you don't mind, but I'm not going to continue this exchange. While I always enjoy discussions, I can tell nothing constructive will come from this. Enjoy your time on mensrighs boyoh…

Sorry, I didnt realise feminism was centred in the US. My mistake. Also, your assumption that I'm white reveals far more about your views than mine.

Aha, I'm sorry, I want to have a proper discussion about it, but I just can't take you seriously when you deny a wage gap or say that rape is not prevalent in society. It certainly is, and yes, I respect your point that rape victims can be both male and female, but you fail to admit that the majority of victims are female and the majority of perpetrators are male. What is important though is that emphasis isn't put on the feminists movements failings, but rather their accomplishments. If you put…

I'm sorry you feel that way. I would beg to differ, in that the sexes have become far more equal over the past 100 years, with women securing the vote and being able to penetrate professions they were previously unable. But I suppose you are right, there is still a lot of work to be done. Women's wages are still on average far below that of men's. Parliament is still unrepresentatively and predominately male. Rape is still prevalent in todays society, and unfortunately over 90% of the victims ar…

Feminism by definition is the fight for equality between the sexes. It is a shame that posts like these and uninformed people like yourself demean the cause of /mensrights

So people, men and women, fighting for equality has taken away your rights, with the most important of these being your ability to make rape jokes? I am so, so sorry for your loss.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
