Rhesus Pieces?

I usually just engage with IRL feminists who have very reasonable things to say, instead of obsessing over fucktarded misandrist strawman fringe lunatics who post stupid bullshit on the internet. But hey, each to their own.
/r/MensRights20/08/18 05:49 PM

That's a cool story, brother.
/r/MensRights20/08/18 08:35 AM

At least now I know that when I need information about feminism I can rely on angry internet NEETs for their comprehensive expertise. Who could know more about feminism than men who have never interacted with women?
/r/MensRights20/08/18 08:12 AM
-11

Ah yes, you've really distilled the "essence of feminism" there, old chap.
/r/MensRights20/08/18 06:41 AM

Right, the point of this sub is just to impotently vent frustration at women in general. Stay on topic, guys, please.

M8 if you think the people here don't mindlessly conflate their abstract hatred for women and fat people you're in for a shock.

All men are gentle and caring fraternal brothers and all women are hysterical slavering fuckwitted lunatics. Also, men like us never make generalisations or are unnecessarily critical.

Certainly not on reddit, at least.

The stories I've related are a small sampling not just from my workplace, but music festivals, "VIP areas", and even just on the street at night in entertainment districts. This stuff goes on everywhere. I know it's convenient for you to act like I work at the Mos Eisley cantina, and that inappropriate male behavior is consigned to that space alone, but this issue is society wide.

there is no rape culture You should work in a bar. You should see the low grade, intimidating creeping that happens literally every week. You should see guys slide up to girls drunk, impose themselves in their space, put on completely and obviously fake "charm", and then get aggressive and hostile and verbally abusive as soon as the girl openly requests her space back. You should see drunk guys literally grab a girl by the head and push her head at another girl saying "Kiss her, kiss her" before…

This is such an ignorant and hateful sentiment.

Do MRAs distance themselves from the red pill lunatics who think that all feminists are evil megalomaniacs?
/r/MensRights02/01/16 07:31 PM
3

Yeah, pissing off feminists show that MRAs are all about real equality, and feminists are all about circlejerking their own views and ignoring the needs of the other side. Not like MRAs at all...

Oh yeah, because anyone could do an English literature degree, right? I mean, I speak English. It's not a real man's degree with formulae and shit. Just stupid words.

Depends which feminists you plan to focus on specifically. But I suppose "The narrative must be maintained" applies to both sides, really.

OMG there's like a total matriarchy, why does nobody stand up for the poor white men and all the suffering that they have to deal with?

Could you answer this, please? You should downvote people who ask you to justify your positions?

We are downvoting you because you aren't adding anything No, I'm not adding anything, I'm just asking questions. Asking people to justify themselves.
/r/MensRights15/01/14 07:33 PM

Does it really seem like I was trying to be meaninglessly antagonistic when you read my posts, though? Or was I just asking people to examine their own views in the sort of light that they view others'?
/r/MensRights15/01/14 07:26 PM

I'm not "you people" I was just asking for clarification. You would want feminists to clarify and support their positions, wouldn't you? Edit: For the people downvoting, should people like me not post on your subreddit?
/r/MensRights15/01/14 07:11 PM
-20

Where do you get your information about "most feminists"? Or is that an unfair question, and if so, why?
/r/MensRights15/01/14 06:02 PM
1

Well, we don't have either, so it doesn't really matter.
/r/MensRights29/10/13 07:48 AM
3

TIL feminism prevents you from distinguishing between the rape of children and people being seduced while drunk.
/r/MensRights22/09/13 05:49 AM
1

Well why don't they respond to those particular groups, and specify who they are, instead of just launching broadsides against every feminist in the world?
/r/MensRights14/06/13 04:17 AM

You're suggesting that one particular organisation has a monopoly in defining what feminism is, but feminism is a broad project with a number of different major branches (cultural and radical being the two biggest). You don't have to commit yourself to the exact doctrine of one particular organisation to be a feminist, in a way that you don't have to agree with every single thing that PETA does in order to be in favour of animal rights. I support X, except for the parts I don't like Yes. I suppo…
/r/MensRights14/06/13 01:35 AM
-10

I support feminism as a doctrine, without having to subscribe to the doctrinal particulars of any specific organisation. It's like how you can be in support of gun rights without having to subscribe to every dot point the NRA puts down.
/r/MensRights13/06/13 06:37 PM
-13

Well I'd start by asking you who the "leaders" of feminism are. As a feminist myself I don't style my doctrine on the words of any particular individual, I just have a passionate belief in gender equality. Additionally, I'd like to know how I "support" the purported "leaders of feminism" when I don't even know who they are, what branch of feminism they subscribe to, or how their beliefs intersect with mine.
/r/MensRights13/06/13 05:26 PM
-11

Assuming all feminists think and act the same is the bedrock that this subreddit is built on. Just look at how many users sneer at "feminists" as if that identifies a clear-cut group of people who all share the same, virulently anti-male ideology.
/r/MensRights13/06/13 05:06 PM

You're right, the WA government website's wording is definitely a determining factor in whether you should stay in a country or not.
/r/MensRights09/06/13 04:33 AM

Write a letter. Write a sensible, restrained letter, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they changed their sexist wording.
/r/MensRights09/06/13 04:32 AM

Or, you know, if we could find out any of the circumstances surrounding it so we're not just speculating wildly and jumping to the conclusions that most suit our existing narrative.
/r/MensRights25/05/13 06:38 PM

If we want to preserve the quality of this subreddit Why would we want to do that? It would get in the way of the demonic, lesbian, man-destroying, feminist strawman that is so much more fun to attack.
/r/MensRights24/05/13 03:14 AM
-5

Yep, modern feminists can safely be generalised as lesbians that want to destroy men. Keep up the good work, /r/mensrights.
/r/MensRights24/05/13 03:11 AM
5

Because /r/mensrights never gets fired up over something trivial, and never gets offended by something that shouldn't really be considered offensive. Never ever. /r/mensrights is so rational and mature. Unlike all of those "feminists" out there in comics.
/r/MensRights04/12/12 12:30 PM

This is just indicative of how fucking far gone a lot of the people on this subreddit are. Venom, loathing and malice are seriously of no use in the project to bring greater attention to anti-male discrimination. But it must feel nice to vent among like minds, I guess.
/r/MensRights23/11/12 04:43 PM

It's a shame that a comment this bitter and misogynistic is voted to the top of a thread that actually has a very valid point. If you're a moderate men's rights advocate like me, seeing comments like yours just discredits your own argument. It tries to turn it into a vicious "us vs them" and no doubt now you'll see me as part of "them" just because, apparently, I don't hate women enough. You need to deal with your nasty streak, r/mensrights, it really doesn't do you any favours.
/r/MensRights23/11/12 06:33 AM
1

It's not a competition.
/r/MensRights03/11/12 01:37 AM

That's like saying we shouldn't have an environmental movement because some places overseas have worse environmental issues. Why can't we acknowledge problems at home just because there are more serious ones in other places (places where we don't actually have any political or social power to effect change)?
/r/MensRights28/10/12 05:16 AM
11

I have NEVER felt threatened or judged because of my gender. Then she lives in a cave. Judgement happens to everyone, constantly, and to not be aware of that suggests a pretty severe obliviousness at the very least.
/r/MensRights28/10/12 05:14 AM
5

You fit in the small percentage of people who think that the gender division is a clear cut line and that one side of that line is culpable for the vast majority of wrongs in this world, while the other side is full of generally innocent victims. It's an utterly nonsensical and simplistic view of the world that serves no other purpose that to allow you to project rage and hatred onto more than three and a half billion different people all over the world.
/r/MensRights27/10/12 04:44 PM
2

This is just completely hateful nonsense and I'm actually upvoting it so that people can be exposed to it and reflect on how not to approach gender relations.
/r/MensRights27/10/12 04:36 PM

And look how many things he fucked up.
/r/seduction04/10/12 08:14 AM

Believe in everything - every fucking thing - that you ever do. Visualize and plan what you want, then do it. Don't doubt yourself, ever. That might be the single most retarded piece of advice I've ever read.
/r/seduction04/10/12 05:51 AM
7

Equal legal rights doesn't necessarily mean equal treatment. Having an understanding of men's rights issues should make you more sympathetic to feminist arguments, because you should have a greater awareness of the pervasiveness and harm of sex discrimination. Characterising it as an "us vs them" with feminist "baddies" is no better than fringe feminists who demonise men in the exact same way.
/r/MensRights22/09/12 06:19 PM
10

Don't you think that's a bit of a generalisation?
/r/MensRights22/09/12 06:16 PM
-6

If you think that asking people to maintain a reasonable standard of dialogue is "trolling" then I honestly don't even know what to say.
/r/MensRights05/09/12 07:12 AM
-10

Hateful, generalising, "us vs them" redditors like yourself are seriously undermining this subreddit's credibility in the wider reddit community. You need to seriously consider what is more important to you; spraying invective, laying blame and blowing off steam at a "feminist" strawman, or actually building a cogent argument for men's rights that isn't based on bitterness and hate. I'm a serious men's rights advocate and a feminist, and aggressive, standoffish users like yourself make me not wa…

That's a lot of "probably". We shouldn't speculate too wildly.
/r/MensRights05/09/12 05:39 AM
-11

that's undeniable proof of feminism attempting to cover up the false rape issue. It would be proof of one particular feminist group trying to stifle information. You can't use the actions of one group to paint "feminism" with the same brush. That would be no more fair than someone trying to criticise the whole men's rights movement by focussing on the actions of one group.
/r/MensRights05/09/12 05:37 AM

Surely there are women out there that are stronger than the weakest man in the infantry.
/r/MensRights31/08/12 09:36 AM
127

And then you have posts where "A vagina is a get out of jail free card" is the top comment and you realise that /r/Mensrights still has a nasty streak that wants to turn the gender equality issue into an us vs them mudslinging match. If there was more positivity and fewer attempts to belittle women's rights out of a misguided sense of adversity then this subreddit would be a far better place.

So loyalty to ones own gender is now sexist? No, "loyalty to ones own gender" is just fucking nonsense.

They're song lyrics. I'm not sure they're any worse than; "AAAHHHH SKEET SKEET MOTHERFUCKER, AHHHH SKEET SKEET GODDAMN"

What is the source for this year old story? Is that even a legitimate news site?
/r/MensRights15/08/12 03:37 PM

These two articles are from completely different sources. And there is no direct link to feminism in either of them. This comment is just "who else hates feminists?" and it's the top comment? Says a lot about this subreddit...

Oh, if you want the worst of it I'd probably pick out these ones: I need men's rights because the president sees the shrinking number of men in colleges across America as "a great success". Equal representation in tertiary education isn't about celebrating the "fall of men", it's about tertiary education properly reflecting our social make-up. Just because it's now more reflective of general society than it was before isn't a bad thing. This is a case where greater equality is seen as an attack …
/r/MensRights01/08/12 05:22 PM

It's more that there's no point arguing on this subreddit because bitter misogynists outnumber legitimate male gender equality advocates 50 to 1, and if you try to have a sensible conversation you get downvoted into non-existence by people who think you must be female, just because you don't hate women as much as they do.
/r/MensRights01/08/12 06:53 AM
-11

This perfectly encapsulates /r/mensrights because it ranges from perfectly cogent and valid to ragingly idiotic.
/r/MensRights31/07/12 10:45 AM

Could you elaborate please on what being "extremely radicalized into the feminist ideology" entails?
/r/MensRights24/07/12 02:39 PM

I'm male. I'm just going to start saving comments like the top one, so that any time someone tries to defend this subreddit (saying it's just for male proponents of gender equality) I can show them evidence of how hateful sentiments are often the top comments on here. You know what the worst thing is? I think male gender issues are important. I'd love a forum to discuss them. But this is not that place. This is a place for angry, maligned men to let off steam by indulging in hate.
/r/MensRights09/07/12 05:14 AM
-34

This comment being the most upvoted really undermines this subreddit's constant claims that it is not just a haven for bitter misogynists to lash out at women. If you're really just gender equality advocates trying to highlight the male side of gender inequality then nonsense like Mauna's post should be downvoted relentlessly.

Rule of Life #2031: Anyone that starts a sentence with something along the lines of "I like a joke as much as everyone else, but..." is always a sour, humourless bastard.

No, but unsourced garbage like this is extremely suspicious. Why wouldn't you say where it came from or who was expounding it?
/r/MensRights17/06/12 04:16 AM

That's because it was written by a misogynist posing as a misandrist.

While we're making amendments, I have questions about the "women consumers" thing. If a woman is buying groceries for her whole family then she is technically the consumer, but it doesn't mean that she's spending that money on herself specifically. That needs to be clarified. Even with things like PCs and cars it's very hard to tease apart who is making the purchase in the relationship. Just because one person hands over the money doesn't mean it's entirely their purchase.

men don't have a public venue to vent their frustrations or relax with other like-minded people. What about the pub? Or anywhere else outside, for that matter?
