Great analogy. I've recognized it in myself and consciously taken steps to get off the internet because of it. I noticed I was looking for a father figure type vibe from a lot of posts, maybe that rings true for other guys as well. The issue is that I'm not a child anymore, I won't ever get the parenting I wanted, and soaking up information only chisels away at a very small portion of the goal I'm trying to achieve in being a good man.

I think this is going to resonate with many people, even people who haven't quite "achieved" success but have started the journey. That's adaptation and not evolution; they were still pepper moths. Adaptation is obviously real and I never suggested otherwise. I'm still pretty sure trump was an outside dude who is flawed. I am disappointed he hasn't built the wall but he's had the same mannerisms and opinions since the 80s. Nobody can produce an average rate of change over time, which is necessary for any formula that claims to measure growth/change. I've thought about this... if you want to decrease crime or whatever I'm not sure there's a better way than to start injecting a man with a slow drip of video games, porn, and his drug of choice.
