Then, perhaps that's where to start. First off, good shit on recognizing where you're stumbling, and reaching out for help. That takes bravery. You need to get rid of the noise. Delete the social media apps if you can. Exist in the uncomfortable silence. Let the difficult thoughts come to the surface. You'll begin to find a thread of where to go from there. That doesn't mean you should isolate yourself though. If you're fortunate enough to have people you care about, spend time with them if you …

Why do you have awareness, but feel unable to change?

People in general, not just women. We keep making this about women being too promiscuous, when it's a wider issue with people in general using sex to escape from reality, in the same way that that people use drugs, or veg out on social media or TV. But there's people who are self aware that don't do this as well. And it's more common than you'd think. Gen Z are having less sex than the previous generations, and they're drinking less alcohol too.

And there are just as many men, if not more, who have a "ho phase," but it's socially acceptable for some reason. But, I was talking more about women wearing excessively revealing clothing in public, rather than going up to and talking to every woman and asking them their body count. My point was that OP is extremely sure that almost every woman is excessively promiscuous, and I was challenging them to back up that assertion with their actual observations, rather than whatever they're seeing onl…

We gave our opinions and you didn't like them, so we're trying to understand what you're asking better.

So, could you define what percentage of women you see are engaging in behaviour that you see as overly promiscuous, and then could you please explain specifically what that behaviour is?

Yep. I dislike promiscuity a ton. But, the promiscuity explosion happened because of sexual repression, and so people rebelled. Now we've seen the consequences of promiscuity, people are dialing it back to something more healthy; a nice balance of being open about talking about sex, but being careful and selective about who you have sex with and why. AKA, people are taking sex a bit more seriously now, which is a great thing.

The grocery store. The library. The mall. The street. Most women are wearing pretty modest stuff. There's always a few wearing something excessively low cut or whatever, but it's not the majority. I live in Seattle too, which people would see as "woke" or whatever the fuck that means, so you'd expect more immodest clothing here than normal. So I have to conclude that you don't go outside. And I'm not judging you for that, I've been a shut-in for a lot of my life. But c'mon.

There are plenty of women who aren't religious, but are still into monogamy, prefer more reserved clothing, and dislike clubbing. I've met plenty. You shouldn't be asking this to Reddit, and instead be getting out there and talking to people if you can. The way you're talking about this screams "terminally online" and I've been no better in the past, but you've gotta go out and see them with your own eyes. It's okay to push back against unfettered hedonism. However, just make sure it doesn't str…

I wish I could claim credit, but I learned it from somewhere else. But it's definitely poignant.

Am I misunderstanding, or are you just saying "People who have more controlled emotional reactions are calmer," because yes, that's true. I also think a lot of people stay in relationships that are bad for them. A known pain is more comfortable than an unknown future alone.

Absolutely. I don't have data on which gender does it more, so I'm not going to comment on that, but anyone can engage in this behaviour.

If this is what OP was referring to, then they're delusional. Being toxic to your partner is not "biological" lmao. There are some women that do this, but it's a learned behaviour, and it shouldn't be too hard to find another more secure lady that's willing to treat you with dignity.

Sorry, can you please define some of these biologically-driven behaviours? I didn't see you give any examples except for "shit tests," and I don't know what a "shit test" even is. There are some behaviours that are partly biologically driven in the majority of males and females, but I just don't know which ones you're talking about.

If you care about him, brush up on your arguments, get some sources together, and have a discussion. Let him know your concerns. People get sucked into the pipeline, but if shown love from someone with opposing views, they can be pulled out. However, if you're respectful when you do this, but he responds disrespectfully or isn't amenable to a heart-to-heart discussion, then let him know that it's really important that he do this, otherwise a hole might become torn in your relationship. People wi…

You need to make friends with women. Don't think about dating. Ask them questions, listen to their answers, share your experiences, etc. Once you do this, you'll realise that women are just people like anyone else. Sure, you'll run into some women that are shit; that's because some people are shit. It is what it is. Don't rush into dating. What's the point of being in a relationship for its own sake? Being single is better than a poor relationship. "Women want an experienced guy" is just a weird…

Man, that's hard. I understand that it must feel awful feeling alone. What do you specifically feel when you thinking about being alone forever? Might be worth finding another therapist in addition to him. Meds can help with mood, but they can't directly change your thought patterns. Funnily enough, if you're able to accept being alone (in a romantic sense, you still need friendships and/or family), that's when you'll find romance unexpectedly. But that desperate energy is going to scare people …

You need to stay away from dating for a bit dude. You aren't ready for a relationship until two things happen: 1) You get comfortable with yourself, by yourself (therapy really really helps, seriously) 2) You get good at just being friends with women Meeting women on the street is a terrible idea. This is what dudes get wrong (as a dude myself), they try to tell women they're beautiful or whatever and get their number within a minute of meeting them. She doesn't know you. That's a hard sell. Sto…

Besides the Reptilian bullshit... where's the lie? But you gotta try to find something that doesn't suck as much if you can, reduce your expenses, and don't fall for consumerism or living above your means.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
